Because he was swim team competitor, advanced for his age, the last summer he was there, she allowed him to participate in the Jr. Lifeguard classes with some older swimmers. She actually encouraged him to participate to give him the head start in learning lifeguarding skills and techniques. Gina and her staff were very professional and VERY nice. When I would call to enroll with her before the summer sessions, she would always patient in working with helping me weave a swim class into his busy little daily summer camp/activity schedule and appropriate for his skill level. The pricing was fair. The few times I was able to be in town and sit with the other parents and watch classes, Gina came out and spoke with me about my little ones progress, sharing her observations and making suggestions, as busy as she was. Yes, I can be "one of those" parents if things seem "suspect" regarding the children in my fold, but I never felt any kind of way with Gina, nor her staff. Highly recommended for youth swim. From day 1 she was available for any questions that I had. She frequently checked in to see how I was doing. She also met with me and my husband several times and showed him different techniques for labor support. Priscilla is also a licensed massage therapist and that was a huge bonus for me both during pregnancy and during labor. We had a great birth experience and a big part of that was due to Priscilla being there with us. We would hire Priscilla again in a heartbeat for baby #2.

My experience has been that of going to summer camp. The campus on the outside is nice and well…read morekept. It is especially beautiful during the fall. However, go into the dorms that don't cost double the housing cost, you will feel like you got transported to a run down camp with a room that is the size of two closets. The reason that I find it an issue because it seems that the school does not know how to use their money correctly. Instead of focusing on buildings that are molding and old, they build new ones that increase the price. As for academics, it depends on your major. The university focuses a lot on the nursing program and the religion majors. But if you are a biology major, say good bye to any funding or such. The professors in that department are over worked because of staffing and their true skills are not given enough room to shine. If they were given, the school could produce ground breaking research and brilliant doctors. Overall, do not fall for the tour. Ask to see everything.
