This company can't keep their job and should not exist. One they I call and they supposedly had my prescription and "shipped out my equipment" and then weeks later nothing arrives. I call them again and they say they have nothing in their system for a prescription for it. SKIP THIS BUSINESS AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Horrible experience ordering lift chair. It has taken 4-5 months of chasing paperwork, with no follow up whatsoever by staff. Full coverage was documented weeks ago and still the chair has not been ordered; it seems there is no oversight on orders. I am disappointed because years ago I had positive experiences with them, but I will not go back. read more

they send you supplies to your door instead of to a pharmacy, no invoice for payment due in the box, I figured band aides and a couple different kinds of gauze. the package barely had anything in them, must have been 25$ material I could have purchased at Walgreens, open wound clinic in the Nasseh specialty center is also involved, my yearly deductible has been met, and they used Handi Medical center out of network, don't go there either, they are crooks also, I got a bill for $843.00 for band aides and gauze, the lady I spoke with at Handi medical supplied they bill insurance companies and medical patience's 100% profit over cost read more

Their service department is becoming one of the worst in twin city area You make an appointment and when you get there they tell you there is no appointment You ask to order parts and they never order parts read more

They sent me a used knee scooter. With the brakes that did not work. When they charged me for a new one. Which is not only illegal but criminal seriously. Somebody needs to go to jail here. read more

I've been getting catheters from another supplier for years with no issues until they closed the business. Only bad thing they ever did was to refer me to Handi Medical. There were 3 instances where they told me that my order had been shipped but in reality it had not. This left me w/o any catheters at all, twice. The second time I got an infection and had to see my doctor. When you're in the business of supplying medical goods that keep people healthy, you can't lie to people like that. Absolutely disgraceful! I've now switched to a smaller supplier that is not in the twin cities and have had no problems. read more

You guys seriously need to do better. I'm too tired of calling the supervisor name Elonie. I'm tired of seeing missing items. You don't print out a label, charge my insurance and never put the 2 boxes of periseen catheters inside the box. I'm missing my 2 boxes of periseen catheters. Next time please look inside the box before you tape up the box. I need elonie to call me first thing in the morning. read more

Handi Medical Supply - They never put the 2 boxes of periseen catheters inside the box but yet they still charge my insurance. Smh. - Medical Supplies Near Me - Saint Paul, Minnesota

Their return policy is very restrictive and deceptive. They don't let you know what it is in writing until you try to return something.

Slow supper Slow take for ever to get help with the things that should only be a day it two weeks and thier product break down to expand they put you on hold for hours sometimes poorly read more

They screw up my CPAP supplies order nearly every time. Woman I dealt with over the phone was a complete dunderhead who couldn't correctly recite the order as I was giving it over the phone. This is the second lousy medical supply business in the Twin Cities I've used. This line of business seems to be plagued with stupid, inept or corrupt people. read more

Customer service is very poor. I've been working with DME providers for more than 15 years and Handi has gotten worse over the years and now is much worse than competitors for helping people with MA. They state they cannot come out to the home to fix wheelchairs due to insurance reimbursement but somehow their competitors make it work. When we got our most recent chair they would come out and then they switched their policies. Never would have worked with them if this policy had been in place. Also had lots of issues when I used to get supplies from them. Never will work with them again read more

Fast and pleasant service, Been doing business with them for a few years and never had an issue. They ship quickly and never made an error. Glad to have them as my supplier. read more

We asked for a medical bed that was fully electric and went through 2 months of getting all the paperwork for Medicare completed. Bed arrived and it was a POS . Have to crank it up and down, cheaply made . The problem is that they never really explained what we were getting . read more

Took forever to finally get my new Powerchair Not one adjustment was made to fit my personal requirements, for ease of use and comfort. This made it very difficult to do on my own as a bilateral above knee apputee. There has been no follow up from Handi Medical at all. Also their service department was unable to do minor repairs correctly on my old Powerchair much less more technical things like wheel replacement This left me extremely frustrated with each and every dealing with Handi and I will definitely look elsewhere for any additional needs in the future... Period. read more

Staff at Handi Medical went above and beyond to help us get a loaner chair to use when the motor in my sister's power wheelchair broke down. Special thanks to Sheldon in service and repair for making everything come together. Finding a loaner chair that met her unique needs was not an easy task. Sheldon pieced together various parts and components and saved the day! Communication was awesome! Thank you Sheldon and everyone at Handi Medical! read more

To be honest they don't deserve the one star. The customer service is terrible. You can leave messages and emails but don't ever expect a response. They have absolutely no care or follow through. read more

Came in to get a wheelchair for my father who had a stroke 6 weeks ago. The one he received from the VA was too big and awkward, barely fits through his doorways. Had to wait a bit for them to assemble the chair and the customer service I witnessed is unmatched! It is so heart warming in this day to see this! read more

Service Above Expectation, for Low Price Technician Perry was so helpful a year ago in repairing a scooter that I sought him again, and glad I did. He tested batteries to determine they were dead, and told me the cables were loosely installed (by competitor) which probably contributed to depletion. I shared info with manager of other business, who then provided credit on new batteries. Perry's charge for his diagnostic skills and his time: 0. He charged less than he needed to a year ago also, and likewise provided added value such as extra copies of scooter keys. A thorough professional who works for a company whose customers are respected, not merely a means to a profit. read more

They were absolutely horrible and untimely I asked for my wheelchair my motorized wheelchair and they said I wouldn't get it till December late December I've called him five times but they never return my phone call I hope they do things in a more timely fashion once I get my motorized wheelchair or can let me know who does that kind of work and is reputable I'm still waiting on a return phone call read more

Horrible service, horrible customer care and highly disappointed in the shipping time. These are special needs products! It shouldn't take 3 weeks to get diapers delivered. I'm over it. Time to look for another DME. If you're looking for a medical supplier, Beware!!!! You will always have some issue whether it being wrong item or shipping address or extremely late delivery. read more

The power chair that Handi Medical recently dealt me just spontaneously combusted in my Great-room !!!! Is It because... -Handi arrived a month late on a service call ? -Handi could not produce any record of the make, or model of the chair they sold me (October, 2018)? -Handi never answered the emergency pager, when the chair was brand new, stuck and obstructing egress traffic, and with electrical wiring loose and waving everywhere? their message machine said they would return my urgent call within 15Mins. (October, 2016) ? -Handi used hacked hybrid screws from both sides of the atlantic, complicating maintenance? (september, 2016) --Assembly was required, at home, by the client with mobility impairment? initially, Handi tried to drop the chair off at my house as an afterthought on the way home from work at 7P. I got them to deliver it dduring business hours to take me through a test spin. The bulk of assembly was left to me,and remains incomplete. My bedroom became their workshop, in their absence . (Sept, 2016) By golly, I was hoping to roll into courage center for the equipment eval and see Reliable Medical , as the appointed vendor. (Jan, 2016) The chair might be in driving condition now, rather than charcoal. read more

Frustrated by three years of a non-functioning Golden Lite scooter, I brought it to Handi Medical in St. Paul - and their technician, 35-year veteran Perry. Easygoing and knowledgeable, he invited me to the back room to watch him diagnose and repair. He determined a broken ignition switch was the problem, probably caused by a jammed key which the seller never told me about. He not only fixed it, he installed a used part, for free - and gave me a key chain and two free copies of keys in case I lose the original, which is very small. In addition, Perry load-tested my battery, then charged it full and assured me the batteries and charger were fine, which I had thought was the problem. He gave me tips on cold-weather maintenance of batteries, advice on re-selling it and its estimated value - and even told me to tip the scooter on its side if pushing it long distances while in neutral. For all of that, Perry charged me ONLY for labor, which amounted to $60. A wonderful experience with extraordinary value and friendly service for a jarringly low price. read more

I've been a customer for over a year, the service has gotten so bad I'm searching another supplier for the supplies I need. I've been lied to many times, been shorted on the doctors prescription. Everytime I've had dealings with their customer service & trying to reqistar a complaint it's always a great big hastle! My last order was shorted & weeks later I'm still trying to get the rest of the order! Dealing with Handi by phone or in person it's the same! I wouldn't recommend anyone have any dealings with Handi there are other companies out there! read more

I am so angry with this company. We bought a wheel chair from them and it took a year to have all the physical therapists, occupational therapist ,doctors to ok it.Then when we went to a long term care facility they said it was all wrong. It took much effort to have it changed and then a piece broke off the foot. I called and a service person came to facility and then sent a bill for the visit. Then the piece never arrived. Working wheel chairs are vital for persons with disabilities. Do not purchase wheel chairs from this company! thank Zero stars. thank read more

Not even worth the 1 star. I hesitated leaving a review with the many instances working with this company but at this point maybe it will force a change that is badly needed within. Their inability to communicate effectively between their own departments, their blatant lies about status updates, orders, and service is just astounding. We have experienced this repeatedly and we have been more than patient on very basic items of repair needed. When you service to a community that is reliant on their services and they are wheelchair bound, there is an expectation that you do so with integrity and speed. 7 weeks we have been waiting for my husbands wheelchair to be serviced and every time we call in a different story is told. What is worse is its IN YOUR SHOP and he has had to default to a loner. As a T6 para that can cause huge implications. Its heart wrenching that your company does not care about my husband's medical needs and again this is nothing short that normal from your company. read more

Horrible, horrible experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. We worked with Handi out of the Twin Cities location. We started the process back in Aug. for the first powered wheelchair for our son who has CP. We informed our rep. upfront that we met our out of pocket max already, have private insurance and already checked with our carrier and confirmed it would be covered at 100%, provided its delivered by 12/31/16. Our rep. said it would not be an issue whatsoever, as they have been through this process numerous times. Well, that was all just a sales pitch!! Our rep. dragged her feet, would not respond to our emails and/or phone calls and completely held the process up, even ignoring correspondence attempts from our healthcare provider. We do not qualify for MA, so they knew how important it was for us to get this done by the end of the year, which we are now scrambling and keeping our fingers crossed that we will somehow be able to still get it done w/ our new vendor. Be forewarned- Handi DOES NOT get back to you even if you contact the owner! We sent communication in writing officially notifying them that we will not be continuing with them as our vendor and listed the numerous reasons why, and did not even receive an acknowledgment and/or apology. It was a slam dunk for them to get paid by our insurance company, but it was apparent they didnt want our business. Please look elsewhere! I never write reviews, and am only doing this to hopefully prevent others from going through and dealing with the empty promises and frustrations that we encountered with this vendor. read more

I needed a piece of durable medical equipment & my pharmacy suggested Handi. I sat on hold for over 5 minutes just to ask if they carry it. I hung up without service. With the automated phone system that goes in circles & the wait time on hold, it would seem that this small business has a call volume that they can't handle. read more
