I recently received notice that you were changing my checking account and adding a fee of $8.95 per month unless I met your RIDICULOUS requirements. When I chatted with your agent they suggested the 360 account, however, I would still need to go through the process of opening a whole new account. In previous changes, I always was able to just have the account 'switch' over where I could KEEP the SAME account number. Not anymore. I finally closed out my account today. While your agent was helpful with that, it was clear Capital One doesn't care if I leave or value me as a customer. Glad I found another bank with FREE CHECKING that actually cares about me as a customer. Capital One has gotten too big for its britches. Very disappointed. It was the best bank, now the absolute worst. Started when y'all started changing to the 'cafe' style bull shit which took away privacy when dealing with your banking to now this crap with adding fees to long-time customer accounts. Not the type of bank I would trust with my money or do business with!

I must start off by saying that I don't frequent them because I no longer live in the state. I…read moreforgot I had an account with them, and needed to close them out because I am no longer an inhabitant of the state! I am not used to employees being as friendly as these people are. Great service and friendly people make for an enjoyable experience. Due to me not needing them to hold my money in order to be part of the digital society we live in, I really can't comment on the online process for them or the availablity of ATMs around the city. I can comment that is great to get service with a smile.

There are only a few of branches spread throughout the parish, and in relation to where I live and work, they were very out of the way. If you call them to speak to a person, you end up on hold for a very long time. But the last and final straw for me was when they charged me a $25 overdraft fee and refused to revoke it. I was setting up something with chase so I could deposit money into my Jefferson account. In order to test the account Chase deposited a few cents into the Jefferson account and took it back. Well, my Jefferson account was overdrafted....that's why I was setting up this transfer, so I could get it in the positive numbers....so when Chase took the few cents back, I went back to negative and got charged $25! They refused to revoke the charge and told me to take it up with Chase, because "according to them" it was Chase's fault, even though Jefferson is the one charging me. In my opinion, very unreasonable. There aren't really any benefits to this credit union. I have been far happier, and better served with Chase....oh, and Jefferson's online banking is pretty crappy.
