The bathrooms were extremely clean, which I feel is pretty much the norm for most Sheetz, so it was nice that it rang true at this location. Additionally, they have a very nice seating area inside and outside, if you need to get a quick snack before hitting the road again. Lastly, they do have a good amount of pumps and gas was cheaper in this area then what we saw everywhere else on our road trip. Overall, this is a great gas station and eatery.

I contacted my bank and was told it was actually taken from my account. I called Sheetz corporate office again on 5/14, (after going back to the store and once again being told it was a preauthorization), and I was told that it was an actual purchase on another pump at the same time I was pumping my gas. I was told the 150.00 charge was for diesel fuel. My truck takes flex. I find it convenient that the charge is for exactly 150.00, which is the amount of their preauthorization fee. Sheetz still has not refunded my money. I was told now they will need to review the cameras. Meanwhile, they have had my money for nearly 3 weeks. In a sense, I paid 214.00 for a tank of gas. I know gas is high right now, but this is ridiculous!

I proceeded to silently watch as not one but two people struggled to make my sandwich. Struggle to the point that it took a full 16 minutes start to finish. I have seen my three toddlers make ham and cheese sandwiches at the house, including getting the ingredients out of the fridge, using a butter knife, and making their sandwiches in less time, including wiping up their mess afterwards with a paper towel. However, once I reached the end of the ramp, the sign indicated the Sheetz was 2.5 miles away. That excessively far for a highway services sign implying immediate access from the interchange. It ultimately took approximately 10 minutes to reach the store, and the distance appeared to be closer to 2.8 miles. The site layout is extremely poor. The property appears too constrained for the size and traffic volume of the store and gas station. It is surrounded by large retaining walls, and the gas pump area feels cramped, making it difficult to circulate around the building or access parking efficiently. Signage throughout the site is inadequate, and I was unable to easily locate the disabled parking spaces. Unfortunately, the interior layout is just as problematic. The entrance, checkout, and self-checkout areas are all compressed into a narrow space, creating congestion and forcing customers to maneuver through lines simply to enter or exit the store. The circulation pattern inside the store feels poorly planned and inefficient. The restroom was messy and did not appear to have enough stalls for the amount of customer traffic the location receives. I purchased two bottles of water. The beverage display itself appeared reasonably organized, but because of the confusing layout and lack of clear directional signage, it was unnecessarily difficult to find what I was looking for. Usually, Sheetz locations provide a consistently good experience, but this one was a major disappointment.

Tonight, Sally was on her cell phone when I walked up to the window. You could tell I disturbed her. I told her the amount and the pump. She punched it in. I told her I had rewards b/c she didn't ask me. I gave her my phone number. She punched it in, supposedly. Then she wanted me to give her my phone to pay. Any other time, the man moved it closer to the window and I tapped it. She wouldn't let me & said the machine doesn't move. I told her I have to enter my password or use my face. With an attitude she told me to unlock it and it'll work. She took my phone through the window and tapped it. Then smirked and told me, "I told you." I told her that I've never had to give my phone to the cashier before. She shrugged. I told her not to worry, I'll contact corporate. She took her hand and shook it like whatever. I didn't want her to touch my phone much less take it inside the drive thru window. If she dropped it, would she or the company replace it? Then, she never put my rewards number in. She did it as cash. I had $0.20 off every gallon, up to 19 gallons. When I pumped, it only did $0.05 per gallon. I saved $0.69 versus $2.76. So she didn't put my number in or accept the rewards when it asked if I wanted to use it. She was rude from the start when she had to get off her cell phone to help a customer at her job.
