I have been seeing Dr Hahn for almost 20 years and she is thorough and kind and professional. She has caught things I would have never seen that could have meant saving my life from skin cancer. I highly recommend Dr Hahn. read more

I experienced a painful complication following surgery performed by one of Dr. Han's associates at Dermatology and Laser Center. The surgeon offered to prescribe a painkiller for me. Dr. Han agreed to see me on very short notice. She quickly evaluated my condition, ordered lab tests, and prescribed medication that eliminated the complication in just a couple of days. I found Dr. Han to be a knowledgeable and caring physician who was very sensitive to my physical and emotional condition. She knew that I was in pain and did not manhandle me as the surgeon did. I recommend Dr. Han very highly to anyone in need of dermatological services. read more

Disappointed!! So my first time here and my last. I arrive 15 mins prior to my appointment as a new patient. I ask the young lady who's checking me in how her day was going? She tells me she's sick and it's quite obvious she has a cold, not what you want to hear walking into a Dr's office. I mentioned she probably should have stayed home and she was quick to tell me she couldn't as she has too much responsibility. She then informs me that I won't be seeing Dr Han as she called in sick. What??? the receptionist has more responsibility than the Dr? She mentioned I would be seeing someone who is quite competent. When I asked if that would be another MD she told me it would be a physicians assistant. I mentioned as I am paying to see a Dr that would not work. I asked why they couldn't of called me and saved me the time and effort of coming to the office but apparently they only found out 30 mins before I arrived? I don't think for a moment they would have told me I wasn't seeing an MD had I not pressed the issue and after reading other reviews I am not the first person this would happen to. I am sure Dr Han is a good physician, but for her staff not to call me and then to try and palm me off with a PA on my very first visit for a full body exam is not only unacceptable, it's unprofessional read more

Once again, a doctor promises follow-through but it doesn't happen. I went in for a full-body skin cancer check. I was surprised Dr. Han didn't use any lighting other than the room light to examine me, especially since I've had skin cancer before. My previous doctor used a very bright examining light along with a microscope-like viewer. I had a small growth removed and I asked to be informed of the results. Dr. Han also was to contact my insurance regarding a procedure to remove pre-cancerous cells. More than a month later, I haven't heard anything from Dr. Han or her office. Doctors love to get you in and out, get their money, and not follow-up. A phone call or email is too much since they have to do it without getting a check. I'm already searching for a new dermatologist. read more

I am so glad I found Dr. Han at the Dermatology and Laser Center of San Diego! I had to go in for multiple things and my skin is a sensitive issue with me. I had to wait a bit after they took me in and she apologized and then completely took her time and addressed all my concerns. She was so nice even though I was upset about things. She talked through all the options and even waited for me to write down some of the information so I could look it up and decide if I wanted to use certain prescriptions. She gave me two prescriptions for one of my issues. One of them turned out to be extremely expensive and the pharmacy I went to f***ed up and didn't tell me the cost ($609.93). I had to cancel my follow up appointment with Dr. Han since the prescription was so expensive. I called the office to cancel the apt and ask if she could send in the other prescription for a refill. When I told them why they must have passed the info on to Dr. Han because she called me herself and apologized about not knowing the prescription was so expensive. She refilled the other one no problem since I couldn't come back in. I really feel that she cares about her patients and helping them feel comfortable with the treatment she is prescribing. I didn't feel pushed about anything she suggested and that she was truly sorry about what I dealt with regarding the prescription she gave me. The office staff also seem really great and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this office and Dr. Han to anyone who needs a dermatologist in San Diego! read more

Turns out I've been getting these white spots on my back and lower scalp. It freaked me out! So I started looking for a dermatologist and Dr. Han's reviews on Yelp persuaded me to book an appointment and I'm glad I did. Dr. Han is awesome! She allowed me to vent and express my concerns without being dismissive. After capturing what I had expressed, she examined me and made her diagnosis -- tinea versicolor. Yup, apparently it's common during the summer, humid climates, oily skin, and people who sweat a lot. I was prescribed a medical shampoo that cost roughly $10. Go see Dr. Han, trust me you won't regret it. :-) read more

Amy Han is the best! I have referred her to multiple people now who have all had the same review as me- outstanding! I had a rash on my ankle for literally almost two years- I saw multiple doctors, including another Dermatologist. Nobody could help me. Then, I found Dr. Han, she took one look at the rash and not only knew exactly what is was from first glance, but apparently ALL the other doctors had been wrong in my diagnosis. In fact, those other doctors were prescribing me things that were making it worst! Dr. Han is my miracle life saver! Also, she is a Specialist so gets booked out. However, after my prescription was not working and I needed something stronger, she responded to my email quickly and was able to call in a stronger prescription without me going back into the office. Amy is the best- go see her! read more

I've been on time for my last two appointments, only to have to wait more than 30 minutes to be seen. I understand delays happen, but obviously they're overbooking themselves. Also surprised to only be examined using the light of the room. I won't be returning. read more

I usually don't write a review but I saw Dr. Han today and I was very impressed. She's one of the best doctors I've seen. She's very nice, friendly, awesome bedside manners. She performed a surgery on me and I didn't feel a thing, no pain at all what so ever. Very friendly staffs. Thank you Dt. Han :) read more

DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Get a doctor that that gets involved, performs the procedures themselves, not their PA and that has up-to-date instruments. Their goggles are not adequate as they are not small and end up covering spots that should be exposed to photo dynamic therapy (PDT). I have moved on to another dermatologist to do it again, that provides very small goggles, and performs the application himself. read more

Talked to the office manager Liz and she waved the $99 fee. I am still out $50 on a useless cream and worse condition due to her analysis. "Before using fluticasone To make sure this is the right treatment for you, before you start using fluticasone it is important that your doctor knows: If you have any areas of infected skin. If you have rosacea or acne. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a skin preparation." Obviously she did not have enough due diligence to check if it could have been roseacea. Stay away. read more

This place is very friendly and did not feel rushed when I saw Dr. Amy. She was thorough and made me feel comfortable. I paid cash and she made sure I did not pay too much for the meds and said I can come back next time and not charge me for it. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. read more

I LOVE this Doctor! I had seen several dermatologists about a problem I was having and she was great. She did better, more appropriate tests and was and has always been as kind and easy to talk to as any doctor I have ever seen. I would recommend her without reservation! read more

I've been going to Dr. Amy Han for many many years and have never had a bad experience. She listens to your concerns and answers any questions you may have. She provides multiple treatments plans to choose from and thoroughly explains each one. If the one you choose doesn't work for you, there is always another option. I have seen a couple other Dr.'s at this office if Amy has been out, and all have been pleasant as well. Scheduling an appointment is easy and the wait to be brought back upon arrival is usually only a couple of minutes. I have recommended Dr. Han to my family, friends and many co-workers looking for a good dermatologist. read more

Awesome dermatologist office. I worked with Erica, the PA, who quickly got me in and out and put my nerves at ease. Treatment was sound, after care instructions were well explained, my prescription and appointment were affordable (I wasn't using insurance). Great experience, and I would recommend this place to others. read more
