My truck was dropped off on Monday morning for a simple U joint. They were supposed to call when it was done. I heard nothing Monday and went by Tuesday and noticed it parked outside. When I called them, I was given a list of other items they thought needed attention. I AGAIN asked them to JUST REPLACE THE U JOINT. I was aware of the other items. Then I was told they would have to order it. When I Finally went to get my truck on FRIDAY, I was told it would be about 20 (MORE) minutes!! They tried to charge me for a FULL HOUR LABOR...I refused and they went down to 1/2 hour on the labor. Then, when I was able to inspect it at home, it was installed BACKWARDS!! And NO GREASE! So, if you have money and time to waste, they are the place for you! read more

We were an hour out from Fredericksburg, heading there for a weekend trip and our tire blew out. My husband tried to replace with a spare and that was flat as well. Tried to call our insurance company to send help may have taken hours if we waited. Phone signal was weak and because of Covid they wouldn't have been able to offer ride along for us with the two dogs. Luckily a few people stopped by the side of the road to assist. One person called a friend from local dealership willing to offer us a ride. We called this tire shop up hoping they carried our tire we needed and they had it in stock. The technician returned to the car with my husband and replaced the tire and drove back on it to the shop and we were good as new. Thank you for saving us! I'm a nurse that had been caring for Covid pts since the pandemic and this was our anniversary trip. So blessed to have had kind people in town assist us. read more

We were on our way to Liberty Hill, TX on a Sunday afternoon and was about 30 minutes from our destination, after about a 35 hour journey. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel and it has 6 tires. We heard a little pop and before we could even pull over, someone was pulling along side of us to tell us we had a blow out and to ask if we needed any help! 3 different people pulled over to offer help and one very nice couple had a phone # for a mobile tire repair. The young man from Hamrick's Automotive was there with the exact tire we needed in about a half an hour, because for some dumb reason our spare was home in California :( Anyway, this young man from Hamrick's Automotive was there and changed the tire right away! Such a polite young man! Had us back on the road in probably and 30 minutes. Now this trailer is a huge toy hauler on a grassy side of the road. Not super easy to work on. I can't express enough, how thankful we were for, all the people who pulled over to offer help. The couple with the phone # for us and the the young man who fixed us up! The people here in Texas are just sooo genuinely friendly and helpful! Can't thank y'all enough! read more

As a driver of an F150, I usually expect that auto-service providers in smaller towns generally provide better value service than you will find in the larger cities. Hamrick's Automotive is certainly no exception. I was travelling through and my check engine alert came on and was accompanied by my the motor running really poorly. Jesse, the service tech at Hamrick's, showed me exactly what he was doing and told me what the diagnostic equipment was saying and what it meant. Had a punctured tire on the road to Regency Bridge on a hot June evening. The folks down at the San Saba DQ said that Hamrick's is the place to go. I dropped the car off at 7:30am the next day and they had me set up with two new tires in about an hour. My wife and I were on the move again by 9:00 am and at a very reasonable price. Knowing that we were from out of town and in despair, all the folks made me feel warm and welcome. read more

Had a tire separation near San Saba on the way to Brownwood from Fredericksburg. Lucky to find Hamrick's tire company. I had a hard to find tire size and they had it and mounted two tires for me. I only spent about 45 minutes total and I was on my way. Would highly recommend them! read more
