If I could give zero stars, I would. We checked into this Hampton Inn and immediately found the room to be disgusting and completely subpar. After dealing with the poor conditions for a few days, my husband, left an honest review detailing the state of our room. Instead of apologizing or addressing the cleanliness issues, management retaliated. They called to inform us we were being kicked out explicitly because of our review. Mind you, I am 6 months pregnant, with a 2year old having to find a new place to stay last minute. The rooms are poorly maintained, but the management's retaliatory, unprofessional behavior is far worse. Save your money and stay anywhere else. Sarah and the GM, TJ, are arrogant, unethical, and should not be in the hospitality business. read more

I've stayed here a few times over the years and while it meets the minimum needs, it seems tired. For example, the tile in my room is so old, it is discolored from scrubbing, the ceiling in the bathroom is water damaged, the sink vanity has pulled away from the wall, etc. On the good side, the bed was nice with a variety of pillows, sofa and chair seemed to be clean, mini fridge was cold and spotless, and the TV worked well. I just think this location is ready for a remodel. read more

This Hampton Inn is in a sad state. It starts when you arrive and park your vehicle in extra narrow parking spaces. Then you get in an elevator with massive dust bunnies in the corners. The room is standard but the shower was out of conditioner. I passed a room that had a half inch gap between the top of the door and the frame. My door did not latch unless it was pulled closed. On Sunday morning we wanted to check out early due to a long travel but the included breakfast was not available until 6:45 AM after they announced it would begin at 6:00 AM. This is the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. The place should be bulldozed. Stay somewhere else. read more

Hampton Inn Sanford - First hotel room that I've stayed in, in years that has a bathroom fan! Bravo! - Hotels Near Me - Sanford, North Carolina

Terrible placement of business right behind cookout too loud , walls are way too thin I can everything thumping from upstairs, my covers smelt like salt , elevator needs work left me stranding in between floors till i jumped up and down and came to first floor , but breakfast was decent read more

I've been staying here for about four weeks , the staff here is excellent. They do a great job. they have a nice breakfast every morning.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple days on a road trip. It was nice and the staff was very friendly to us. The only downside was that we booked it because it has an outdoor pool and my wife wanted to swim, but for some reason the pool wasn't open yet in early June. read more

Standard, older Hampton Inn. I was able to check in with the app and get a digital key, so that was good, especially given the front desk was vacant when I arrived (around 4 pm). Waited around to grab a water, but no one showed. Elevator, halls and common areas are dated. Room had old green carpet and a ac/heating unit by the window with one of the older control units in the unit. Small table for a desk and very few outlets in the room for charging and ironing. Not a horrible place but definitely needs a remodel. Edit. After a below average breakfast and 40 minutes wrestling with their office area to print a simple excel file, I am very unimpressed with this place. read more

Hampton Inn Sanford - Needs a remodel. - Hotels Near Me - Sanford, North Carolina

There are much better places for the money, which I just need to say this place is overpriced. There are about 8 channels on the tv. The wall outlet doesn't even have electricity, so the phone is a prop. I dont mind these things because I have a phone and a roku device... The paint looks like it was done in a couple hours and the bathroom looks disgusting because of the grime in the tiles and the baseboards look like they have been caulked back on a couple times and then gave up. I refuse to use the showers because there are stains on the curtains. There is just random stuff on the surfaces of the room as if it hasnt had a BASIC wipe down in months. Like food stuck on the nightstand and on the bathroom sink. The icing on the cake was when I went to microwave my food. I found someone's crusty old bowl in the microwave with FOOD STILL IN IT. I know the beds are probably not clean after making my assessments, so I sleep on a sleeping bag and bring my own pillow because this isn't my first rodeo. Let's not forget the crackheads parked in front of my door doing drugs sleeping in the cars. Turns out they stole property, and when someone blocked them in with their truck, they ran off with their booksacks full. Turns out when three police arrived, the truck was stolen too! You can't make this stuff up. I've provided a few photos to back up my harsh review. I booked with expedia, so I save a little money. Sorry, Baymont, but you need to do better or lower your price to match the vibes. read more

Front desk staff is the most superb that I have ever encountered. Every single person was so super friendly and super inviting. Each person (I encountered 5 different ones in 2 days) was engaging and really seemed to care about why I was staying, if they could help, and just overall amazing. Breakfast is more than continental. This morning there was ham and potatoes. They also have girts, oatmeal, pastries, waffles (make your own), cereal, yogurt, and fruit. Juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available for your morning pick me up. There is always a coffee "bar" available just to the left of the front desk. Also... COOKIES!!! The freshness at the front desk is my jam. I came in from a late mtg and was "persuaded" to have a few cookies... which was just what I needed after a long day!!!! (I'm going to pretend that I was forced to eat them so I don't feel as guilty. :-) but man oh man, soooo soft and fresh) They are under renovation, so not everything is up to "standard", but it's a work in progress. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. All in all, a great experience. This is not a 5 star hotel, due to the amenities that are not offered, as opposed to bigger city hotels. The price is right for the location. read more

Horrible front desk service. Found bug in my towels in room had to change rooms and still didn't feel satisfied. The guy at front desk told me "there's not much I can do". I have never wrote anything bad about a Hampton hotel always have been great have always used them for my work. And let me tell you, this place absolutely is horrible should of slept in the Walmart parking lot. Don't come here yuck and during this whole pandemic thing you would expect high quality and clean facility. But whatever hope someone sees this related to the hotel and does something about it. ZERO STARS read more

Rude rude rude woman working front desk check in. She must live there because she was at breakfast the next morning scowling at me. Guess what they don't like military - she doesn't honor any discounts that are posted on the website! Shocking with the number of active duty and retired in the area. read more

Doors propped open with dry wall. Blood on shower curtain and the front desk handed me another one to hang myself. Large unknown stains on furniture. Mattresses and sinks blocking ice machineS. Gym fitness center only have weights and a treadmill that doesn't work, beds are very uncomfortable u wake up with back pain, housekeeping sucks we had temporary living here since we were relocated and they would just change the towels out I had to make the bed myself and clean the bathroom because they only clean my suit like once a week even though I would leave the room for a couple hrs read more

Each year we stay here the accommodations decline. This year we were given a filthy room although we checked in after 11 PM. When we returned to the front desk for a different room, our key cards were re-processed and we were told to "Try this room." Really? You don't know which rooms are clean? Shouldn't all unassigned rooms be cleaned by now? On day 2 (Sunday) I was almost stuck in the elevator. When I reported it to the front desk, she told me she was aware and the elevator was scheduled for maintenance on Monday. No sign was affixed to the elevator or anything. There are 2 elevators (& stairwells) in this facility. There's no need to risk people's safety. It's ridiculous! The lobby had several young female children walking around in dripping wet bathing suits, while some wore pajamas. None were being looked after. There was a black pocketbook in the middle of the corridor. Suddenly a young woman appeared apologizing for everything being in the way. On day 3, we returned to a clean room; but it looked like someone may have been sitting on the bed. As there was a stain (looks like pen ink) on the duvet. The same children were running around the lobby with the same young girl trailing behind the baby apologizing. On day 4, housekeeping was speaking so loudly with one another in the corridor it woke us up! I asked them to please keep it down. They didn't. So I called the main desk. Apparently Antonio was able to handle it because it's quiet now. The 2 stars are for the men who exemplify great customer service. I don't know what this establishment would be without them. I have to find somewhere else to stay next year. I'll be sharing this review with corporate. There's no way this should be a Hilton property. read more

Stayed here many times before but now it's way to expensive for the experience. Breakfast are ok at best. Dining area has been under construction for three months at least. The room I'm in 316 looks like a drunk guy remodeled it. The sink was glued out of place. The door locks were installed crooked. The bathroom barn door has sticking places that makes it hard to open. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A PLACE TO STAY. read more

I checked into the Hampton Inn in Sanford NC on 26Mar2019. While the hotel is undergoing reservations I'm excited to see what it looks like eventually; however wasn't excited to stay there last night as I do not think the room was ready for guests. I contacted Erika Sanchez at the front desk and was even more disgusted by her responses and lack of guest concern. If I weren't stranded in Sanford, NC I would have opted for another hotel! I've attached pictures of my room...the smoke detector wasn't on the wall but on a shelf in the closet. The baseboards and walls had holes in them...definitely not what I've come to expect from the Hilton Brand. read more

Never again! Rude! Would not honor my online booking. Too much to list. Pissed off doesnt touch how mad I am.

Don't stay here. After using Hampton Inn for many years very disappointed how poorly this place is run. Advertises EV charging on Hilton website none to be found or ever available there to begin with. Water leak stains on the bathroom ceiling in the room and all down the hall of the facility. Mattress completely worn out and miserable experience trying to get sleep. The a/c in the living room area did work and never was fixed, the a/c in the bedroom area froze you out. The breakfast wasn't even below mediocre, you had the option of waffles you make yourself, cold potatoes, dried out sausage and pastries that smelled like acetone. No eggs or bagels for the 3 nights we stayed and was told that they were out for days prior to us arriving. I did see a grocery store a block down the road that they could have bought some bagels and eggs at. Coffee bar had old cold coffee and was rarely stocked. Very disappointed. Go down the road to the Holiday Inn Express and save yourself the hassle. read more

Sanford doesn't have a great variety of nice motels to choose from, but this place looked promising. Check in was quick and effortless, the room was clean and spacious, and the bed was excellent. The shower was like a jet, and there was a whirlpool element in the tub. Room was very quite, and all this for $140. read more

Dump with DGAF staff. Even though I got a newly remodeled room, the bed COLLAPSED, TV didn't work, wall paper pealing and a massive water leak. Cost $6 to do laundry, not including detergent and fabric sheets. Worst hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Hilton Diamond Member. read more

Here on business with my husband. If the company wasn't paying for the room, I'd leave! Our room smells like mold. Walls could definitely be cleaned, looks very dusty. Have to pay for WiFi unless you're a honors member. Couldn't change the tv channels because of some wire that is hanging out of tv so I had to wedge it between two boxes from my personal belongings to face a certain way & now it works. Personally I wouldn't picked this place & I've stayed in lots of hotels. read more

I have stayed in this hotel the past three years due to a meeting in the area once a year. This hotel is declining all around. They are currently remodeling but not sure where the remodel is happening. My room felt dirty as soon as I walked in and the floor looked dirty. The baseboards were missing and the paint was uneven. Not sure if my room was remodeled or "in process" but my stay was not enjoyable and the next morning the hair dryer wouldn't work and when I called the front desk I was told they would "see what they could find." Might be trying a new hotel when I'm back next year. read more

I loved this hotel. There isn't a lot of noise surrounding the place. There is a cookout in the same area, so you can get yourself a milkshake. And the staff that works there is so friendly. We got there way before check in time and they rushed to accomodate us. The room was spacious and clean. It was large enough to support 3 women with lots of clothes and accessories. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper and tv channels. read more

This is an average hotel that is adequate for business travel. Its saving grace is that the staff is very accommodating.

I have been an Honors member for many years . We own a timeshare through HGVC and have held it for over 10 years. In all of that time, I have never had an experience as terrible as with the Hampton Inn in Sanford, North Carolina. ONE YEAR ago, I purchased tickets to the US Open in Pinehurst . I began immediately looking for accomdations. All rooms in Pinehurst village were already spoken for so I began looking between Pinehurst and Raleigh and found the Hampton in Sanford. At the time, they were not prepared to take reservations but had started at a waiting list and I was told that I was 7th on the list. Finally, 2 months later, they were ready and I was given a reservation. Rooms were sold at nearly triple the standard rate and the requirements were steep with payment in full months before the event and cancellation almost non-existant. HOWEVER, it was relatively close to the event so I went forward and signed up. I subsequently made air and car reservations, being prepared for a true "Bucket List" event trip. Then, 8 days prior to my departure, I receive an e-mail indicating my reservations were cancelled. When I called, they indicated that they had a roof problem and that they would try to find me a room another 45 minutes away from the venue, making it a 1 1/2hour trip each way for both days. I pondered this over night and my wife and I decided spending that much EXTRA time driving back and forth for 2 days would take all of the luster off of the event. So, we reluctantly cancelled our trip, cancelled our plane reservations and sold our tickets. All in all, we lost $800. IT WAS OBVIOUS THE HAMPTON INN KNEW MUCH EARLIER AND COULD HAVE MADE MUCH MORE PALATABLE ACCOMMODATIONS!!! WHAT WAS THE VALUE IN BEING A HILTON HONORS MEMBER? WHAT WAS THE VALUE IN BEING "7TH" ON THE WAIT LIST AND PLANNING A YEAR IN ADVANCE ONLY TO BE TREATED SO SHABBILY? WHY WAS THERE NO COMPENSATION OFFERED FOR THIS MIND BOGGLING ALTERATION TO MY WELL CONSIDERED PLANS? To add insult to this, we were LATER offered 2 free nights at a Hampton as "Compensation". After everything, this is all they could do. read more

Check in quick. No ID or credit card requested. Don't know if that's a good thing. Lobby very nice. Rooms clean and updated. Smallish. No queen beds. Double beds felt like twins after sleeping in king at home. Air conditioner made very loud noise. Moved immediately after complaining. Next room was next to adjoining room. Was able to hear family next door very clearly. But then maybe the walls were just too thin because could hear family on other side too just slightly muffled. Traded the loud air condition for a loud ticking sound coming from fridge. Glad we weren't using it. Had to unplug it. So everything was fine except for various noise disturbances. Bring some earplugs. read more

I was in town, visiting family and friends and had the blessing of staying at this hotel. My stay was most excellent. The staff was cordial and accommodating. The room was clean and well cared for. The maid service was timely and the internet worked well. Breakfast seemed to be well thought out and the kind lady who served breakfast was very helpful to me. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Was very sad to have to leave, but happy to be coming home. :) When I return to Sanford, am hoping to stay at that hotel again. There was one small detail that bothered me. I went to the front desk to ask one of the ladies a question and I believe the owner was there, and he interjected himself into the conversation. To me, it were as if he didn't trust his staff to handle the question. If the owner of a hotel doesn't trust his staff to handle the business when he's there, does he not trust them when he isn't there? If this is so, then he is in the wrong business. read more
