What happened to this property? What a crappy, dusty and dated hotel it has become. Had my reservation not been NON refundable, I would have never checked in today. Soiled carpet, dusty phone, tables and lamp posts. This is 100% a pet used room, which I specifically requested not to have. It seems they think the smothering smell of bleach will mask it. Old, tiny microwave and beat up fridge.... Don't get me started on these old white bed covers. This room was clearly pieced together with random furniture. I used to be a diehard Hilton patron but every stay seems worse than the next. I won't even complain ( because I could) or even post photos of this disappointing hotel room. I just won't patronize this brand anymore. FYI, the first room that I moved from to this one was even worse AND the desk staff confirmed that this was an old property. Don't stay here... staying in a lesser known property or your vehicle will probably be cleaner. Terrible. read more

I decided I could not do the 12 hour drive between Jacksonville and my parents in Ohio. I found the Hampton Inn in Rock Hill, SC which was halfway. The selling points for me was they accepted my dog Simba, it was close to the highway and offered free breakfast. I checked in at roughly 4:00 PM. Check in was fast and easy. I was happy my room was on the first floor;) And I was able to park outside my room window. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. It took me a little finagling to get the heat to work. Once I turned the thermostat off and on it worked. Bonus, they had lots of green space to walk my dog. My only complaint was I was in a room with an adjoining door. And until I turned the TV on I could hear the conversation happening in the room beside me. He was not being loud, I just think he was close to the door and the door was not sound proof enough. The hotel was also close to a mall, restaurants and gas stations. The morning of check out I went for breakfast at 9 AM. They had to go containers so I picked up scrambled eggs, sausage, a biscuit topped with sausage gravy, fruit and hot tea. I was impressed with the breakfast, especially the biscuit and sausage gravy! I plan to book a room here for all of my future trips to my parents. Try them out as I do not think you will be disappointed. For the price, it was a quality place to stay. read more

My name is Sheila Taylor and I am battling cancer along with other medical issues at this time. I was charged for smoking in my room at the Hampton Inn in Rock Hill, SC, which was a lie. I reported it to the central office and it was escalated back to the manager Mr. William at the hotel. I spoke to him on December 1, 2025 and he seemed nice at that time telling me that he would get back to me within 24 hours. I waited and he never called me back, so I called him back December 2, 2025 to be only ignored by him. The other manager Chantel told me that I would not be getting my 250.00 back for smoking in the room. I will say this once again that I don't smoke and never have in my life. This company took my money and I will pursue them by calling the police and a lawyer if I have to do so. I asked for proof to be sent to me via email and Chantel told me that she will not be sending anything to me. I asked again for Mr. Williams and he really didn't have time upon coming to the phone. He told me that I interrupted him during a conference meeting on the phone. This will not stand and because of them not being more empathetic with me, I want to cancel my account with Hilton, Chantel didn't care when discussed with her on the phone. I will never trust leaving my bank card with an Hilton hotel ever again, their actions was fraudulent and thievery. I offered to send proof of my condition and explained about the sage due to germs but they just wanted to rob me so close to Christmas. I hope that you can help me get my money back or some credits for a stay away from South Carolina, because I will never book a Hilton hotel there again. I am a really nice person and very considerate of others feelings but I'm very hurt right now because of what happened. Brandon Ahrens 1/5 just now on Google My daughter and I had reserved a room at this location on October 19, 2024 as we were attending a concert that evening in Charlotte and did not want to drive back in the middle of the night. UNFORTUNATELY, that is exactly what we did. After checking in to room 321, we found a bloody, fluid soaked towel in-between the box spring and mattress. It had been there so long that the towel was compressed. The comforter also has a blood type stain on it as well as the cushion on the couch. Dead carpet beetles were a long the baseboards and bed areas. Photos were taken and I immediately went back to the front desk ( who were polite and embarrassed by the condition of the room) and apologized for these issues. They said that they are so tired of housekeeping not cleaning the rooms properly. I asked for a new comforter in which the housekeeping gave a slip cover for it and said to just put it on over the comforter. That is when I went back to the front desk and said that we will be checking out of this hotel And we're forced to drive back in the middle of the night. Since then customer service at the hotel and with Hilton has been horrible full of lies and a lack of responsibility and accountability. Not only has the Hilton hotel brand done. Nothing. The Rock Hill manager Gerald Miller contacted us and did nothing at resolving the issues as well. My family and I generally stay at Hampton inns anytime we vacation stay as most of the time there are good quality rooms but not at this location read more

Stop here quite often, as we travel by car quite often from Florida to Pennsylvania (and back) and this is about half way. Much like every Hampton Inn, this location is clean, curtious, get free WiFi and a free breakfast. We are Hilton people, and are big fans of Hampton Inns. They give you everything you need. Even a free newspaper. We don't use any of the other amenities - pool, gym, laundry, business room - but they are there. They have a big parking lot. We always park in the back as we are pulling a trailer/boat most of the time. read more

This was our overnight stop on our way to Hilton Head Island. The lobby was clean and inviting with the check-in process being quick and efficient. Our room was clean as were the linens. We had two queen beds with a sofa that pulled out into a bed. A little tight for my family of six but we make it work when it's just a one night stay. It also beats having to rent two rooms instead of one. The free breakfast was your typical offering of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, your choice of making a regular or cinnamon Belgian waffle, cereals, fruits, muffins, etc. The food was hot and was a great start to our morning as we departed and finished our drive to HHI. We would definitely stay here again when we find ourselves traveling this way. read more

Booked the room for a overnight to visit family. Upon entering the room and opening the door, the first thing you notice is the smell of clean, and the room definitely matched the smell! The entire room, bedding, bathroom and even the carpet were spotless. Another added bonus was the complimentary breakfast we enjoyed the next morning. We will definitely stay here again. read more

My mom and I enjoyed our stay here last night! The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly! Our room was nice. The only complaint was that there wasn't a shower curtain, but it didn't bother us too much. We just mopped up the puddle haha! Alexandria at the front desk was AMAZING! So friendly and helpful! She gave us water bottles and helped us with al our questions. They prove the rooms have been cleaned well from COVID by placing a tear-off sticker on the door so you know when you get to your room that you are the first people in it & that it's been cleaned well. I would definitely stay here again! Forgot to mention that the walls are very thin, so we heard the people next door pretty well. Nice hotel in a good location. It's close to restaurants, a Walmart, other shopping and a mall. It's conveniently located off of highway 77. Hotel is clean. It has an outdoor pool, gym and business center. Breakfast is served every morning at 6am. Typical continental breakfast with two waffle makers which are great for kids. Choice of eggs and a breakfast meat either ham or sausage. Breakfast ends at 10 but they are pretty liberal about it if you are a few minutes late. The beds were comfortable. This is a good place to stay if you are attending a soccer tournament in Rock Hill or Fort Mill. read more

Booked a room for the weekend to attend a basketball tournament. Laid down on the bed and the pillows and sheets smelled like old dirty gym socks and musty dirty laundry. I went to the hotel receptionist and she seemed like she had an attitude but sent housekeeping up to the room. When housekeeping came and started changing the sheets there was a big brown stain on the mattress. Housekeeping said it should have been reported by the housekeepersed. I asked to change rooms but all the rooms were booked. Stopped here for 1 night. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Mini fridge was one of the larger ones with a freezer compartment - great if you need to refreeze cold packs while traveling. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn located in Rock Hill SC, travelling with my Folks who are older and their dog. I reserved a room with a King Bed and a fold out Couch. The room we received was exactly what we had booked, and the room was clean. I also called earlier in the day because we were going to arrive after 9pm and I wanted to make sure they were aware of our late check in. I spoke with Amber and she was very helpful, letting me know the room would be waiting and not to worry. Amber was also there when we arrived so that was nice to meet her after we had spoke on the phone. Overall the hotel was just right for us. Further the breakfast was terrific as well. We had an issue where we had to travel during Covid-19. I felt like the cleanliness of the hotel was very good. They have partnered with Lysol and cleaning protocols were obvious. The hotel seemed to be full and there was a lacrosse tournament nearby - a lot of boys in the main areas. It wasn't the most quiet stay. The also allow dogs and we had a pet staying across from us. There was barking late into the evening, but it wasn't really too bad. We elected to not have the breakfast, but it looked like they were trying to keep people separated. It's easy on and off the highway. It's definitely a good option if you are in the area. read more

Quick, one night stay here last week for work. Overall, it was fine for a night and I'd stay here again. Pros: - Convenient location near chain restaurants (Chili's, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, Chick Fil A) - Only $30 Uber/Lyft ride to/from Charlotte Airport - Breakfast was surprisingly excellent with fresh eggs, potatoes, fruit and lots of other staples - Room was clean for the most part and showers have good water pressure Cons: - No bottled water upon check in, even with Silver HHonors status - My sheets smelled musty, like when you leave clothes in the washer for a few days and forget about them - WiFi was not working - My ID was not checked upon arriving to the hotel. I know it's rare someone would be trying to get into the Hampton Inn as me, but it's still a safety issue. read more

Traveling from Ohio to Florida & stopped around the halfway point at the Hampton in Rock Hill, SC. The hotel was very nice and all staff members we encountered were friendly & helpful, but I have to give a special shout-out to Jackie, who manages the breakfast there. The food was fresh and hot/cold, as appropriate, and the area was spotless. We stayed here for three weeks. We got an allergy and an illness during our stay that we couldn't shake. Turned out the air conditioning and heating filter had not been cleaned in a long time. After the hotel cleaned the filter we still were ill. I also noticed the drapes were very dusty. The room and bathroom were large and the bathroom was clean. We loved the swimming pool. The pool area was clean and they had an outdoor fire which was nice. Hampton Inn had an excellent breakfast with fresh fruit each day. Also the oatmeal was tasty. We loved the maple sausage. The hot portion changes each day. This place has Sunday worship services inside one of their conference rooms, but the hotel needs to advertise these services as some guests might want to attend these services. The housekeeping staff are very nice and friendly. The guest washing machines did not thoroughly rinse our clothes. Specifically, we would find soap on our clothes after washing, causing us to rinse them a second time. The hotel is currently renovating the top floor, so I am looking forward to the renovated rooms. There is plenty of parking and the hotel is away from traffic. However, with our continuing illness, we moved to the newer Hilton hotel a mile away. read more

After a long night to find out we had to change hotels at 2:00a, we came across Hampton Inn. We met Chuck at the front desk. He was very nice and accommodating. I had asked to check the cleanliness of the hotel room before making reservation. Oh how happy I was to find the room was very clean. This is wonderful compared to the previous hotel and three rooms we've been in. Protocol: Always check for Bed Bugs!! Hampton passed with fly colors. A wonderful sight to see. Our room was well appointed, we had two rooms adjoining. Had an issue with two things that were handled immediately. I will return here when needed. Nice to know Hampton takes pride in their hotels. Needed a place to stay on the way to Hilton Head while traveling with our family dog. This place was great. After a late night on the road, I made a reservation on expedia for this hotel. I got there and found out I accidentally put the wrong date in and the hotel was full. I told them I did not need the room for the following day but they said they couldn't do anything about it as I reserved it on expedia and had to deal with them to get a refund. Expedia told me it was the Hampton Inn who had to forgive the charge. I literally had the reservation for over 1 hour...too late to cancel...by about a half hour..I showed up at the hotel and was turned away yet they charged me for the night. I called Expedia several times and they said they would take care of it...but no calls back. Left several messages with the GM AT THE HOTEL - no response to email or phone. I give you a one star due to the fact that you have a pool that cannot be used before 9am. The one star also for the lady clerk that was not understanding of my frustration. Her response to my comment that we would not be back to a Hampton Inn if this was the policy.... more or less was " so what" and a shrug. The reason for choosing you was so that I could swim and you were dog friendly. Our daughter was within a 30 minute drive and dog friendly but no pool. My husband had a stroke 3 yrs ago...I'm the care giver; swimming gives me the release I need for my mental health and for sore muscles. I lug all the luggage, take care of dog; etc.... I give you 5 stars for pet friendly, facility and evening staff. But for meeting your guest needs,1 star; your pool man's needs and convenience were put before your guest.
