First time staying at this location. Very nicely decorated and well maintained. Breakfast was great and the area is very quiet and calm. Walking is not a problem if you don't mind the coyotes. :( I walked over to the gas station/convenience store and saw one in both directions but they ran away quickly. It's functional. Beds are comfortable. Room is clean. Staff is fine. Breakfast is kinda what you'd expect - basic. The draw here is essentially location. There are no other hotels if you need to stay in this area. Mildly disappointing that the lobby is so small, i.e. nowhere to chill, and that the Denny's that was next door (not the Hampton Inn's fault of course) has closed. :( But this place serves the purpose. read more

I just called to inquire about this hotel, it was due for an update and I'd hope to stay there soon. Whoever answered the phone does not speak English as it's first language. I was so frustrated with the non intelligable answers, I hung up. Damn the businesses that just hire cheap labor. There is less & less American customer service. The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazingly nice. The downsides... The pool was down during our visit... I get it this can't always be fixed or helped... The bathroom fan wasn't working causing the entire bathroom to turn into a steam bath every time the shower was turned on... They're using some kind of a satellite dish for their TV and it's barely functional... They need to spend an extra couple of bucks and remove that bacon from their breakfast menu because it's not bacon I'm not sure what it is. It's almost like it's been printed on paper to look like bacon if nothing else just get rid of it and put some cheap hashbrowns or something out. read more

Second visit here with a gap of a couple of years. It was fresh last visit but beginning to show some age now. Friendly staff and what we come to expect from a Hampton but coming up quick on a remodel. Quiet rooms as it is far enough off of I17 to not catch the noise. Growing area with lots of small restaurants within walking range and shares the parking lot with a Denny's. Would stay here again. read more

We stopped at this Hampton Inn on our way to Sedona, AZ because we wanted to get out of Phoenix after a long day of delays on our flights from Washington state. We arrived at the hotel at 2:15 AM with no reservations. The staff at the front desk greeted us warmly, checked us in quickly, and provide us with all the information we needed about the place. Breakfast was included. It was the typical breakfast fare but again the staff was friendly and spent time talking with us. Breakfast was from 6-10 AM. Our room was clean and inviting. We just checked in and laid down in our bed, lo and behold i found 2 pairs of socks buried in the blankets! Sheets were not changed after the last guest! We complained and asked that housekeeping changed the sheets immediately but there is no housekeeping in the afternoon, they come only in the morning. So the best they can so is move us to another room. We asked if we could at least get a discount on our rate & got a quick response of no. I am really disappointed. Being a hilton club member at that, i didn't expect this poor customer service. Let us see if they changed the sheets to this new room. read more

A very nice franchised Hampton Inn about 30 miles north of the Phoenix airport. It's on the road to Sedona and the Grand Canyon so it's a convenient first night stop if you get into Phoenix late. A grill and some tables near the outdoor pool is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious but the ceiling in the entry inside the room and hallway is somewhat low. No hot breakfast as of late September 2020 during the pandemic. Grab bag breakfast is skimpy compared to other lower tier Hilton properties I have stayed in recently. read more

Very clean hotel with a great breakfast. We had a pet room on the first floor which was very spacious. We stayed for 5 nights. They gave us a tag for the door which showed we had an animal. The room had new mattresses and pillows. The exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom, so you needed to crack the door open. The toilet handle was loose and if you weren't careful, it would run and not fill the tank. This hotel was the best we stayed out for our 2-week road trip. Would definitely stay here again and told my daughter that it was a great place to recommend for anyone they knew who needed a place to stay. read more

Wonderful place to stay! We stayed for 2 nights. The staff were outstanding, especially Lorena at the front desk and Dawn in the breakfast area. Lorena was attentive to all of our needs and very hospitable. Dawn was really nice and hard working to keep the breakfast area stocked. The breakfast options were fantastic with eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal, and breads/muffins. The pool area is great with plenty of lounge chairs around pool and hot tub. A great place to stay when in the Phoenix area. Quiet community with outlet mall and food options nearby. read more

This was our second and third night on our 31 day road trip. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean. The only problem we had was, there was a heavy rain, monsoon season I guess. There was lightning and 2-1/2 inches of rain in a short time. I got up in the morning went in to the bathroom. I didn't turn on the light and I was met with water everywhere. It had come through the vent in the ceiling. The moved us to another room for night two. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast approach. All prepackaged food. Other places in Arizona didn't have the restrictions. The desk clerk confirmed they were the most restrictive. It was a good stay minus the food and the leaking ceiling. read more

Typical Hampton rooms and beds with the usual breakfast. It's a bit far north of Phoenix to be convenient unless you are just visiting the Anthem area. Service was not up to Hilton standards. I've been diamond or gold member for more than five years and have stayed at many of the Hilton chain around the country. Staff was not friendly and felt like I was an inconvenience from whatever they were doing when I came to sign in. I had to remind them about the Hilton member extras such as water, etc. No one was rude or unpleasant. It just seemed they didn't care. This is a newer hotel. Very clean. We had a king size room. It also had a couch and refrigerator. Very large room, if we were traveling with friends we could easily had company in our room. The bed was comfortable 4 pillows to choose from. Airconditioning worked well. Staff was very friendly and accomidating. We were greeted with smiles and free water very appreciated. Breakfast was offered with the room. Great selection. 2 kinds of waffle, eggs and sausage cooked to perfection. Oatmeal, with 4 selections of topping, beagles English muffins toast, fresh fruit. 2% milk and skimmed. Orange and strawberry smoothie made with Greek yogurt. Coffee and ICE water is available 24/7 in the reception area. A fitness center and outdoor pool very clean. Big conference rooms looked nice. read more

We stayed here recently during a visit to Phoenix. We only stayed here one night but it provided everything we needed for our stay. We booked a standard room with two queen beds and everything worked out really well for our family of 3. Checking in was effortless and the service was really welcoming. Price was right for just an overnight 9 hour stay. The evening that we arrived was very cold so I really appreciated the covered porte-cochère which allowed the hubby to drop myself and the little one off before proceeding to park the car. read more

This started out on my list of on the better places to stay, but Wow what a bad experience. Manure smell was pouring into the room in the middle of the night (we're not near a stable), then I was getting sick, the dog was getting sick. Someone kept yelling in "shitcunt!" from the access road that my window opened up on. When I opened up the hotel room door, the hallway reeked of trash, and someone was singing over the entire hotel PA system throughout the hotel hallways, "Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Happy Birthday the responsibility lies with you." I didn't stay here but the front desk let me use the restroom . I didn't want to use the restroom at the circle k or any gas station . So I asked if I could use it, I said I'm coming from Grand Canyon and I'm on my way home to Tucson. My son is 5 and I needed to use the restroom. I just stayed at this hotel for a wedding this past weekend. The room we stayed in 214 smelled so bad of sewer we let the front desk know. They gave us a bottle of febreeze. We went back down a few hours later and asked for a new room since the smell wasn't getting better. They informed us they were completely booked. But said they would give 5000 bonus points for the inconvenience. When I received the email with the points they did not add the points. I would no recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

The hotel is conveniently located near the 17 freeway. Breakfast is the typical Hampton offering which is great. They also have grab and go breakfast bags near the front desk if you are in a rush. It's nice that the rooms feature a mini fridge and microwave. Some of the rooms are smoking rooms which tends to make the non smoking rooms on the same flow smell. Our room on the 3rd flow had this issue. I solved the problem by putting a towel down behind the door to block the smell from coming in. read more

There slogan is "making you happy makes us happy " apparently did not apply to us. When we arrived, there was hair all over the toilet and pink mold around the sink. When we told the front desk, we were told that they would clean it the next day. We also asked for extra towels which we never received. The toilet hair was still there when we left three days later. There was even a sticker on the mirror that said "Cleaned and disinfected for your safety and protection ". It was very disappointing that they did not make things right. Went to dennys and it was closed and 2 other restaurants around there. We are not from here and I thought q hotel like this will let my kid use the restroom. She flat out told me no! I went into my stay at the Hampton Inn with low expectations, and walked away fairly impressed. My biggest problem when traveling is finding a bed that is remotely comfortable - a non issue in my ultra comfy king sized bed with 4 or 5 feather pillows. Heaven. I was in town on business, so I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but knowing I was walking into a room where I wouldn't spend most of my night tossing and turning was such a relief. The continental breakfast was about on par with what you'd expect - fruit, cereal, pastries etc. I skipped the "hot" items, which vary from day today. There is always the option of DIY waffles, which are pretty good. Always a fan of free internet - but you do have to be plugged in at the desk. NOTE: the access code changes daily, so you'll have to call the desk for the new code everyday. There is a gym and a pool/hot tub, though I didn't use them. Denny's and Del Taco share a lot with the hotel if you have the munchies, and the Anthem Outlets are just across Anthem Way (Blvd?). All-in-all I was comfortable, and the bed was awesome. If you just need a place to sleep, this place has what you need. read more

Night one, we end up in Anthem, with no idea of quite how we got there, except it's north. This is almost the only information you can get from the road signs around here, except for the ones with the microscopic logos of restaurants, hotels etc. Hampton's is a nice place, and probably worth the $155 inc. tax we paid. But if you're smarter than we are, you'd go another 15 mins and stay at a more reasonably priced place up the road at New River. read more

This was an excellent place to spend the night especially considering the price. I stayed with a friend on a quick trip to the Grand Canyon and then a D-Backs game the next day. We stayed on a Tuesday night, and booked it two hours before our arrival while eating dinner in Flagstaff. The booking agent was very courteous and upbeat. The room cost us $90 including taxes and was well worth it. Two queen sized beds that were more comfortable than my bed at home. Room was spotless with a tub shower, flat screen television, excellent working temperature contros (important when you're in a place that's going to 112) and all the amenities previously described. Computer access is now Wi-Fi. Access code does not change daily, it's merely your name and room number. Ate the provided breakfast and when I appeared perplexed at the waffle station, the attendant made it for me. read more

If zero stars was a choice today that would be my choice. Today was 3rd stay. The first weren't what you would expect from a Hilton serviced hotel. It is advertised as a well serviced start but you have to ask for the bare necessities of a stay, I.E microwave, OH AND A CLEAN ROOM. The manager Seth turned us away today because he was intimidated by my wife saying she doesn't want to speak any more. He blamed it on a card that we were using but the same card was used for multiple stays. I can tell he grew up and never handled rejection from a woman very well... or his mother didn't give him enough hugs. The rooms are barely cleaned. We EVEN called to see if we could check in early, and we're told that we could by Jim! I see why people actually take out phones to record incidents now. Seth is not the face he shows. I got turned away on our anniversary because my wife simply asked for our keys after he was already in the process of printing them. He asked "how was your last stay?" But at the point of feeling attacked saying that we couldn't use the card to stay WITH RECEIPT PROOF! Being held up and feeling attacked with a room full of people, and being Hilton Honors members I explained that this is not okay and if (SETH) isn't capable of dealing with ALL PEOPLE he should Not be in any area of service. read more

Beware of the third floor. Our room was under a motor that ran continuously. Even with earplugs sleeping was difficult. The staff of course could not do much about a mechanical/design flaw except move us to a lower floor. The rest of the place was just fine and we might try it again on a lower floor since this is the first problem with a Hampton Inn. read more
