Dirty socks inside the covers- yuck!

We just checked in and laid down in our bed, lo and behold i found 2 pairs of socks buried in the blankets! Sheets were not changed after the last guest! We complained and asked that housekeeping changed the sheets immediately but there is no housekeeping in the afternoon, they come only in the morning. So the best they can so is move us to another room. We asked if we could at least get a discount on our rate & got a quick response of no. I am really disappointed. Being a hilton club member at that, i didn't expect this poor customer service. Let us see if they changed the sheets to this new room.

A very nice franchised Hampton Inn about 30 miles north of the Phoenix airport. It's on the road to Sedona and the Grand Canyon so it's a convenient first night stop if you get into Phoenix late. A grill and some tables near the outdoor pool is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious but the ceiling in the entry inside the room and hallway is somewhat low. No hot breakfast as of late September 2020 during the pandemic. Grab bag breakfast is skimpy compared to other lower tier Hilton properties I have stayed in recently.

    Looking out the front door.

I couldn't have been more pleased by our stay. It was affordable (and had a veteran's discount on top). The free dinner and hot breakfast were great perks. The beds were comfortable. The pillows weren't the typical hotel pillows that go flat as a sheet of paper the moment you lay on them, they actually provided support. The water pressure in the shower was great. There was a real door on the bathroom, not the barn doors that everyone is doing these days. The people at the front desk and in the eating area were all super friendly and personable. This is the first time I've ever written a review for a hotel. That's how pleasantly surprised I was. Please don't change, keep it up. I will be staying at Drury again in the future.

I ordered 2 food items and pre paid for 3 beers the bill came out to $52.18 I didn't think much of it and even tipped 25% After I finished my third beer. I decided to order a cookie with ice cream and an old fashioned to take up to my room. Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This is a great place to stay but keep an eye on what you order. More so late at night. Also my hot wings were cold in the center but I didn't even mention it to her at the time. I celebrated my 50th birthday three years ago and the place is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. The attentive staff makes this place very special. Istvan and Ian and Rafaela at Harvest were particularly delightful and the farm fresh food is just incredible! The Hot Springs are very soothing, relaxing and reinvigorating. Don't expect a TV in the room as they are absent. If you just wanna relax and catch up on your sleep or read a good book with no noise to be found, this is a place for you. The 7 mile dirt road to the resort is very scenic and you are likely to find burros along the way. Definitely need some kind of suv for that part. Or if you have no object to spending money, then take the helicopter from Scottsdale airport to whisk for a 20 minute ride to the resort.

Expectations were modest at first--especially after navigating more than seven miles of unpaved road to get there--but any doubts quickly faded upon arrival. A palm-lined driveway led us to the welcoming lobby, where we were greeted with chilled floral tea and genuine hospitality. From the very beginning, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance of grandeur and warmth: magnificent, yet unpretentious and inviting. The natural hot springs were deeply restorative, while the farm-to-table dining exceeded expectations. The onsite farm flourishes with seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices, all of which elevate the dining experience. Activities are abundant, including golf, yoga, biking, hiking, pickleball, archery, horseback riding, swimming, and even wine and mezcal tastings. Castle Hot Springs proved to be an extraordinary retreat--one that combines relaxation, adventure, and exceptional service. We left with plans to return in the winter. Highly recommended.

This location didn't rate as high as others so not sure how they got the "Plus" added. The place was very clean. That's always the biggest thing when staying away from home. The rooms were very cheaply done with pressboard furniture and metal springs for the mattress much larger than the mattress. Our TV had terrible sound quality and after a bit, felt it just wasn't worth watching. One big thing for us is a coffee pot in the room. There was none. If you wanted morning coffee, you had to get dressed and walk down to the main area. There were a lot of options for breakfast so the buffet offering was pretty good. What we thought strange (rude) was the fella working the front desk had to be first at making himself a waffle. So, we waited until he had his. Then, one more thing. As we walked to a table we saw a homeless person on the front patio, getting his things together and getting up. Does this hotel allow homeless to sleep there . Whether or not that is the case, it appeared as if they might. I'm giving the 3 stars for the breakfast and the cleanliness. I had to debate whether actually to take it down a notch but didnt.

Think adobe chic meets spa catalog. Casitas sprawl across the Sonoran landscape like they were dropped from a helicopter and told to blend in. Inside, everything is cooled, cushioned, and curated -- a million miles away from the fact you're technically in the middle of nowhere. Step outside your casita and there's a saguaro cactus giving you the side-eye, wondering why you're paying $25 for avocado toast when it grows for free right next to you. The pool is basically an oasis, complete with cabanas that make you forget Scottsdale is basically Phoenix in a nicer shirt. The spa? You'll get massaged, exfoliated, and moisturized until you feel like a well-polished golf ball. And of course, Troon North golf course looms in the background -- a lush green playground carved out of desert that makes golfers weep with joy and water conservationists weep with rage. This is the Four Seasons -- you could walk in dressed like a hungover rodeo clown and they'd still treat you like visiting royalty (we were). Staff float around like desert ninjas, topping off your drinks, folding your towels, and politely ignoring your questionable SPF choices. The poolside margaritas are $22, but don't worry -- they come with a complimentary identity crisis. Four Seasons Scottsdale isn't hospitality, it's hostility against your bank account. (because let's face it, you're not here to save money, you're here to buy bragging rights). The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is above average, over the top, and exactly what happens when luxury colonizes the desert and wins. Funny thing is, you'll leave broke but refreshed -- which is kind of the Four Seasons brand in a nutshell.
