Dirty socks inside the covers- yuck!

We just checked in and laid down in our bed, lo and behold i found 2 pairs of socks buried in the blankets! Sheets were not changed after the last guest! We complained and asked that housekeeping changed the sheets immediately but there is no housekeeping in the afternoon, they come only in the morning. So the best they can so is move us to another room. We asked if we could at least get a discount on our rate & got a quick response of no. I am really disappointed. Being a hilton club member at that, i didn't expect this poor customer service. Let us see if they changed the sheets to this new room.

A very nice franchised Hampton Inn about 30 miles north of the Phoenix airport. It's on the road to Sedona and the Grand Canyon so it's a convenient first night stop if you get into Phoenix late. A grill and some tables near the outdoor pool is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious but the ceiling in the entry inside the room and hallway is somewhat low. No hot breakfast as of late September 2020 during the pandemic. Grab bag breakfast is skimpy compared to other lower tier Hilton properties I have stayed in recently.

    Looking out the front door.

I ordered 2 food items and pre paid for 3 beers the bill came out to $52.18 I didn't think much of it and even tipped 25% After I finished my third beer. I decided to order a cookie with ice cream and an old fashioned to take up to my room. Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This is a great place to stay but keep an eye on what you order. More so late at night. Also my hot wings were cold in the center but I didn't even mention it to her at the time. Definitely more bang for your buck with free breakfast and free early dinner and drinks. The evening fun can continue at the bar or outdoor covered pool and jacuzzi. In the need for a workout? They also have a small gym to get your sweat on! Service was great during my stay and the front desk staff was amazing and super friendly. All employees at the bar and the dining room were also very professional and courteous. If you haven't tried Drury Inn & Suites before, it's definitely worth giving a shot!

I celebrated my 50th birthday three years ago and the place is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. The attentive staff makes this place very special. Istvan and Ian and Rafaela at Harvest were particularly delightful and the farm fresh food is just incredible! The Hot Springs are very soothing, relaxing and reinvigorating. Don't expect a TV in the room as they are absent. If you just wanna relax and catch up on your sleep or read a good book with no noise to be found, this is a place for you. The 7 mile dirt road to the resort is very scenic and you are likely to find burros along the way. Definitely need some kind of suv for that part. Or if you have no object to spending money, then take the helicopter from Scottsdale airport to whisk for a 20 minute ride to the resort.

The property is absolutely beautiful.... gorgeous to say the least. Superb customer service no doubt!!! Every employee on property was a delight to chat with, whether it's the cool farmer who's growing the vegetables, the housekeeping, service or upper management, everyone is extremely pleasant. My only "issues": - Hard to find the value at a price point of $100+ per hour for every hour you are there. - The food was slightly underwhelming. Not bad by any means but doesn't hit the mark commensurate with the price. (All the vegetables are amazingly tasty!!) - for a resort, it's a little too rigid in terms of having to plan each individual activity....i am i'll go with the flow semi spontaneous type of person so it didn't really fit my vibe but those who like to play in their day out this would be great for them -every "room/cabana" should have a bathtub that is large enough for two people. - too many à la carte activities at a very premium price. We didn't partake in those activities so I can't speak on those but the Farm tour was nice and complimentary thought the customer is still paying $100per hr to be there. The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is shortcomings in value for the price as well as almost every activity is à la carte and expensive. The staff at Castle Hot Springs is amazing, kudos to all those that are working hard; it's seen and appreciated.

My stay at the Best Western was fabulous. They had a great staff and when I called for an early check-in they were happy to accommodate me. This is in no way a luxury hotel but it is clean, it is new, and it's in a safe, quiet, neighborhood. The thing that struck me the most was how quiet it was in our room. I never heard our neighbors shower or toilet or TV. I never heard a door slamming or ice machines or traffic outside. All I can say is that if you want a good night's sleep in a nice clean, safe, hotel with a knowledgeable and courteous staff, don't look any further than the Best Western in Happy Valley. This location didn't rate as high as others so not sure how they got the "Plus" added. The place was very clean. That's always the biggest thing when staying away from home. The rooms were very cheaply done with pressboard furniture and metal springs for the mattress much larger than the mattress. Our TV had terrible sound quality and after a bit, felt it just wasn't worth watching. One big thing for us is a coffee pot in the room. There was none. If you wanted morning coffee, you had to get dressed and walk down to the main area. There were a lot of options for breakfast so the buffet offering was pretty good. What we thought strange (rude) was the fella working the front desk had to be first at making himself a waffle. So, we waited until he had his. Then, one more thing. As we walked to a table we saw a homeless person on the front patio, getting his things together and getting up. Does this hotel allow homeless to sleep there . Whether or not that is the case, it appeared as if they might. I'm giving the 3 stars for the breakfast and the cleanliness. I had to debate whether actually to take it down a notch but didnt.

We received great customer service here and were satisfied with our room. The lazy river is relaxing and there are so many pools and the resort is clean. We were allowed early check in which was wonderful after a 5 hour drive. So why the 3 stars? We ordered a couple of pizzas, chicken wings and a couple of beers at the food place, at the pool, located by the water slides. The guy who rang us up was friendly, but when we came to close out, he told me gratuity was automatic and to just sign for it (I was charging it to my room). I asked him "gratuity is automatic? " He said yes. I didn't think much of it and signed for it and got my receipt and went on about my day. But as I was looking at my receipt, it gave me a gratuity option at the bottom, which made me realize gratuity should not have been automatic. I confirmed with the front desk that gratuity is up to the customer. She did credit my room for the amount of the gratuity that he gave himself. In the end, it is not about the gratuity because I was going to tip him regardless. For me, it's the principal.

Think adobe chic meets spa catalog. Casitas sprawl across the Sonoran landscape like they were dropped from a helicopter and told to blend in. Inside, everything is cooled, cushioned, and curated -- a million miles away from the fact you're technically in the middle of nowhere. Step outside your casita and there's a saguaro cactus giving you the side-eye, wondering why you're paying $25 for avocado toast when it grows for free right next to you. The pool is basically an oasis, complete with cabanas that make you forget Scottsdale is basically Phoenix in a nicer shirt. The spa? You'll get massaged, exfoliated, and moisturized until you feel like a well-polished golf ball. And of course, Troon North golf course looms in the background -- a lush green playground carved out of desert that makes golfers weep with joy and water conservationists weep with rage. This is the Four Seasons -- you could walk in dressed like a hungover rodeo clown and they'd still treat you like visiting royalty (we were). Staff float around like desert ninjas, topping off your drinks, folding your towels, and politely ignoring your questionable SPF choices. The poolside margaritas are $22, but don't worry -- they come with a complimentary identity crisis. Four Seasons Scottsdale isn't hospitality, it's hostility against your bank account. (because let's face it, you're not here to save money, you're here to buy bragging rights). The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is above average, over the top, and exactly what happens when luxury colonizes the desert and wins. Funny thing is, you'll leave broke but refreshed -- which is kind of the Four Seasons brand in a nutshell.
