Checking in was a breeze, the lady was super nice that checked us into the hotel. We get settled for the night then all of a sudden right above our heads was running and jumping around. We were on the second floor. Woke up in the morning to running and jumping and extremely heavy footsteps! I complained to Minny (sp) at the front desk and she didn't seem not to care at all! My husband ate a little breakfast and we went up stairs to get our bags and fill our small ice chest and ice machine was not working. Went downstairs told Minny and she had nothing to say! She had to be the most unfriendly person! No expression on her face and I don't think she could care less about my complaints. read more

A solid Hampton on West I-10 with all the usual room amenities including microwave and mini refrigerator. It was clean and the climate controls kept the room cool (always a good thing) It was another 107 miles to Fort Stockton and after a day of motorcycle riding, this was a welcome stop. As other reviewers noted, the front desk employee was not the most amiable person I've ever met - no greeting or friendly smile while checking in ... but really no problem with the room. The air conditioning made a very loud sound as it ramped up, ran and then slowed to off. It sounded like an old Star Trek soundtrack phaser fight or beam up, at top volume. Nothing I tried changed it and I ended up turning it off and sleeping in the hot room. Plus several hotels in this chain have remodeled and put in terrible mini fridges. There is no small freezer space to refreeze cooler ice paks. I had to take a shelf out to put my 6 pk of bottles in there then the door wouldn't shut. Shelf was all of 3 inches deep so not helpful. Pretty useless as a fridge goes. The room was ok, I liked the small table that snugged up to the couch and the two small footstools were handy. Normally rooms come with 4 each but this Room had exactly two towels, two hand towels and two wash clothes. I needed to wash my hair but skipped it because I didn't want to use hubby's towel. I went down to the front desk a three times but the clerk was never there, I called into the back room but didn't raise anyone. read more

The only grip I have with this location are the limited choices of restaurants but there is a sonic burgers and DQ within walking distance For the tech savvy they are gonna love this place outlets and usb hubs galore. Absurd fees. I stopped here after driving all day in the middle of the worst winter storm this part of Texas has seen in years with my wife (who was traveling to receive cancer treatment in Houston), 2 year old son, and dog. We checked in. Ok, my fault for not asking if they allowed pets, but the lady at the front desk didn't mention it either and there was no sign at check in. She also wasn't wearing a mask in the middle of a pandemic, which the whole reason we chose Hampton Inn was because we heard they were very Covid compliant. We check out the next day, absolutely nothing wrong with the room, no pet damage, no soiled carpets, etc. but then I get a $150 pet cleaning fee on my bill. Even if I am 100% to blame for violating the pet policy, $150 when there is no actual damage to the room, i.e. no soiled carpet, is absolutely absurd and a complete rip off. I called the hotel and tried to negotiate and was just rudely threatened that they could go up to $250 for the fee. Don't stay here if you're hoping to find a hotel that's understanding of how families travel, I know I never will again. read more

Traveling to Houston and made a reservation a week ago. Searched the website for pets. Indicated on my reservation that I had pets. Apparently they don't accept pets. When I arrive, lady at front desk says my reservation has been cancelled because they don't accept pets. She claims they called SEVERAL times. I did get a call from this city that I missed but when I called back, I got a fax machine. And they neglected to leave a message. So they lied. They neglected to be proactive with my reservation. They couldn't bother to leave a message. And no apology or nice attitude. During COVID19, you would think they might want the business or at the very least have good customer service so I might consider coming back. Amazes me that customer service is such a lost art. I would think that Hilton corporate would want this location to not be so bitchy. read more

Stayed here during Thanksgiving Holiday trip, its right off I-10. The rooms were clean, the breakfast area was clean and well maintained, great selection of juices for breakfast. They have a nice fitness center with free weights. Why 3 stars and not 4? Well, the staff lacked people's skills, not very friendly and it seemed like the guests were a nuisance to them. Maybe it's a reflection of the town they live in. It's good enough to just sleep and get the hell out of there! read more

Avoid. Smells like death even though the lobby is very nice. My service animal was questioned, which is a big no no! The smell was just so bad and the flooring in the first room was like an ice skating ring! It was slick! The roll in shower floor was moldy and bulging at the bottom. When I complained to Hilton the owner Mr Patel insulted me by sending pictures of the center of the room walls instead of showing the spots on the ceiling and the unacceptably dirty flooring!! We stayed here for a night on our way to Marfa, TX. The amenities were ok (what you'd expect at the Hampton Inn), but the owner had a really awful attitude. He snapped at the customer in front of us for what sounded like them checking out 30 minutes late, and despite trying to be kind, was super short with us as well. He was just like, needlessly unfriendly. Normally I'd chalk it up to a bad day, but he had the same attitude when we checked out. I guess being mean to guests would be cool if they were the only hotel for miles...but it's not. read more

While the hotel was nice, clean and well appointed, I have to give this hotel 2 stars due to the smoking booth outside the front of the building. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked this and at 3am in the morning Marijuana smoke came flooding through our air conditioner. In June, turning the air conditioning off is NOT an option. Spent a night on my way through West Texas and decided to stay in Ozona because other nearby housing options were Sold Out. The great economy has found a new resurgence in the oil industry. Most hotel prices have risen and have been taken over by members of the oil industry. This property is on the periphery of the oil fields and has vacancy. I had a great breakfast in the morning. The breakfast bar was fresh and well maintained. There was no lack of food. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, bacon, sweet rolls, juices, oatmeal and yogurt. It was a good layout of food. The rooms are spacious and the mattresses are firm and of reasonable quality. Bathrooms are modern and of good size. I have stayed on many hotels on my travels and this one is one of nicest of the mid grade variety. read more

The room was dirty (hairs in the shower), toiletries had not been replaced from last guest, and the staff was lacking customer service skills. I also noticed that the breakfast was open to the people living in the surrounding neighborhood. I don't understand these great reviews. The room was way overpriced and my gold Hilton status was not acknowledged. Full of loud oil workers banging around the hotel at odd hours. Being next to the highway was a blessing, easy to find and a curse, loud highway noise. The person checking me in was surly and mean, clearly was unhappy they had to work that evening. I was on the road from Minnesota to Louisiana, through Texas and into Arizona for 4 weeks, staying in Hilton properties several nights. By far, this location was the most disappointing and highest cost. No value staying here. Unfortunately, there weren't many options because of the workers living in most of the hotel rooms in town. Probably the most frustrating part is that I can't find a place to provide feedback where I will get an answer. read more

Stopped here on our trip to Florida. The town is quite small and there is not a lot of food options if you do come in late. Hotel was very clean and nice. Breakfast was small but good.
