Room was clean. Bed mostly comfortable. uSB poets didn't work n both lamps. Plug did work. Nice that Rhee are body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Shower was strange and crackled when you stepped in. Hot water came was immediately on - cafe right was cold. Blower for AC and heat was noisy but that's most older hotels.

    Breakfast

Spent two nights at this hotel and would definitely go back. The hotel was clean, the staff was polite and helpful and the breakfast was very good. They offered mini lemon flavored waffles. A nice way to spice up hotel breakfast.

The Hampton is starting to show its age and rated less than average. Worn furniture, thin walls and doors, lots of noise from near by train crossing, worst breakfast eggs and sausage Ive had in years, and very weak coffee. Stayed here before and i can see the decline over the last couple of years. Think I will stay at one of the casinos next time through.

VERY WELL THOUGHT OF - this is really the entirety of this hotel. Of all the Hampton Inns we've been to, this is by far topping the charts. First off: CLEAN ROOM and BATHROOM This is an essential MUST for us Second: CLEAN COMFY SHEETS and PILLOWS Another MUST have Third: BREAKFAST Y'all THIS is where they win the very-well-thought-of Hilton hotel category. It's not just like any other Hilton's out there that we've been to so far. From their waffles (2 flavors: cinnamon and malted vanilla); smoothies (yes! They have smoothies!); pressed juice (a first for us from a Hampton!); eggs (real eggs y'all!); flavored drinks (I like the strawberry kiwi) and coffee (yes, they source out their own beans!); and even fixings (maple brown sugar, anyone?) you can tell they put heart into what they serve. Fourth: HOSPITALITY We spoke to the manager and told her how impressed we were of their breakfast bar. And she was very gracious in speaking with us. Such a lovely lady! We wouldn't mind stopping by here again on the way back! It's a great bang for our buck since we used our Hilton points to stay here for the night for free. With our available points, we can stay here another 15 nights!

Skip this Hampton. Front desk was very helpful. The room seemed clean. The radiator had broken pieces The room had peel and stick stained carpet. The mattresses were barely acceptable. The vanity in the bathroom was scratched up. The towels seemed recycled from a laundromat lost and found. One bar of soap for the shower or sink- choose. The shower was an insert which squeaked as you move your feet. There is no fan or ventilation in the bathroom! You can hear every step upstairs. Breakfast is grab and go but you can't see what is in it. It has an utensil kit, 2 packaged hard boiled eggs, salt and pepper, strawberry yogurt and a bagel and cream cheese. Regular coffee and hot water - no decaf coffee.

Just a standard, older style Hampton Inn room.

This is why I should only stay at the Hampton Inn. I have an expectation and it is always met. Customer service is top notch.

I left with nothing but vibes, a free Sprite, and a new smoking habit. Every spin felt like destiny. I was one totem away from greatness--every. single. time. And yet? The totems said "nah." But did I walk away? Of course not. I chased that win like it owed me rent and emotional closure. I lost all $5,000 in about... two hours. Somewhere between the fourth bonus round fake-out and me fist-bumping a slot machine, someone outside handed me a cigarette. I'd never smoked in my life. I lit it with a shaky hand, took one drag... and felt peace. Chaos, but peace. I haven't stopped since. Now I'm broke, slightly wheezy, and spiritually bonded to a totem named "Big Luck." But the lights were glowing, the music was thumping, and I was clapping like I just saw Beyoncé in Vegas. I even cried. The staff handed me napkins and didn't say a word. Just a gentle nod. Respect. Would I do it again? Yes. I already booked a room for next weekend. 5 stars. I left my dignity at the blackjack table and found myself outside, puffin' like a noir movie character. Never felt more alive.

Check in was fine, the desk clerk was friendly and that part went smooth, but as soon as I pulled around to my room, I met my neighbors. South of the border car dealers who couldn't park straight to save their lives, various pet owners with large dogs that enjoyed dumping in front of the rooms, and meth users galore. Those guys pissed me off the worse, as besides being loud, they really seemed to enjoy tossing their cigarettes unto the dry mulch where the plantings were in front of the rooms. Being risk adverse in the fiery death department, I would periodically come out with an ice bucket full of water to put out the smoldering mulch....I sensed it made my neighbors upset as I guess it made them feel inadequate....that was my intention. It's sad that ownership has let this place slide to where it is, as you can tell it was well built and isn't obsolete, most of its problems are superficial. The sliding closet doors are on rusted out tracks, and the ceiling vent is rusted along with the ends holding up the curtain rod. The lamps in the bedroom are rusting too. Most Choice Hotels use these lamps and I've never seen this at any of those places.Other than the lump in the shower floor, most of this could be cured with proper ventilation. The breakfast was adequate, but the floor show was exceptional. The Tiger King was there with Honey Boo Boo, and after he strutted around the room showing off his tucchus and the fact that he's going commando, as evidenced by his massively ripped jeans, he and his sweetie got down on their knees to pray before eating. I'm not kidding!

Let me explain: the bed, chair, dresser, the fridge and microwave, desk, and lamps were all in good condition. But once you headed over to the bathroom area, things changed. The room with the toilet and shower had a very weird smell that I could not pinpoint what it was. And strangely enough the water it's self smelled weird. And I cannot even begin to explain what it smells like or what I could compare it to as an example. All I know is I took a very fast shower. There was a tissue dispenser with no tissues. The exhaust fan and lights in the top of the shower room were extremely dusty and dirty and the fan did not work. Pics below. There was some subtle dark stains on both of the towels but they smelled clean so I don't know...One of the pillowcases had a dark stain on it so I just didn't use that one. We had rented two rooms. So his room had bugs all over it some of them dead some of them alive. And he said that it smelled like bug spray had been sprayed on the services. A few bugs escape the bug spray and the ants were crawling on his bed. As you'll see from pictures below it got worse. Fire alarms are relatively cheap. Why don't they just replace this? Then you have the hairdryer coming off the wall which could be an electrical hazard. Refrigerator in his room did not work but they at least brought him a new one. It's just insane how one room is partially decent and the other is just so gross. Take your chances if you must. All I can say is I am glad our road trip is almost over with our dogs and we settle in our new home.

Room was a bit stuffy but cooled quickly. There were no tissues in the dispenser, no channel line up card, no local list of amenities, and when my hubby asked for some tissues and a channel list the clerk stated "we're not required to provide that, but there's a stack of napkins over on that counter." There were lots of flies due, I'm sure, was due to the heat and the location of the trash dumpster. The ice machine was located all the way in the back furthest point of the property. You would be better served by going to the Pete convenience store gas station at the front parking lot, its much closer and the clerks friendlier. The rooms are very old and basic. The shower head was horrible and the water faucet knobs had no covers. Hot water was sufficient. Nothing to write home about, if you just need sleep, provided you don't have noisy neighbors with dogs, you can get a bed and a shower for lees than $70.
