The good - pillows, staff, towels, and they accept pets. The Bad- the room smelled like chemicals and stale cigarettes. Especially lying in bed. Cracked and chipped paint on ceiling, looked like black mold was forming on bathroom ceiling. Breakfast was horrible. Someone over salted everything. The bathroom faucet had been replaced with one that didn't fit and I couldn't wash hands or face without water splashing all over counter. We requested a late checkout and staff knocked on our door at normal checkout time waking my husband up asking us if we had a late check out? Really! Check the computer first. Bathroom light kept going on and off. Hallway's were very very busy. Slamming doors, people standing in hall talking on cell phone. The ugly- I accidentally hit something attached to the bed frame really hard with my shin that left a bruise. When I looked it was a hard plastic square thing protruding out? Then I hit my arm on a hard plastic zipper cover on the side of the mattress? The dog walking area was littered with dog poop everywhere. Couch was old and arms faded. It's an older hotel with so many new popping up around it. Will try others next time. read more

I was awakened at midnight by a person trying to get into my room. Luckily we had the backup safety stop on the door that didn't allow them in or someone could have walked right into our room and flipped the lights on. I called the front desk .... Im gonna call him Mr D, that is who gave me room 225 from the start, mr D then gave 225 to a Priceline customer who showed up to my room and startled myself and my 11 y/o daughter. All they can offer is an apology? When you stay somewhere you should be able to rest easy knowing your in good hands and going to get a quality sleep, instead you get traumatized. read more

This hotel is very nice as it has been remodeled and felt fresh. Employees Donna at breakfast service and Dana the inspector were wonderful. The front desk girl knitting is NOT a good look. Unprofessional. I'm f bored go help a co worker or find something to do. What I was very disappointed in and would probably keep me from staying here again would be the housekeeping schedule. It was definitely a hit or miss not every day and I'm sick of the Covid excuse. Hotel room should be cleaned every day and normally they are but this hotel as I said was a hit or miss I requested cleaning did not get it and another time man at the front desk said oh well we posted on a little sign here, and I asked where the sign was in a did not exist. Good reviews overall, and I wish I could rate it higher, but it was a disappointment. I stayed here even though it wasn't the cheapest, thinking I would at least have a better experience and a good night's sleep. I was wrong. When I checked in I saw signs about construction, which I wish I had known about when booking- would have gone somewhere else. The noise started at 830am, loud noise, power tools in the hallway. So, yay. I checked in at 1 so I was hoping for some peace till 9 or 10. If that was the only issue, I would give them three stars. But: no hot water in the shower or sink at night. I would have called down, but 2am, tired, I'll shower in the morning. Nope. Leave it running, eventually it warms up a little, but forget it. The bathroom in general was very nice, big for the size of the room, and classy. If they are renovating, I'd leave the bathroom alone. The rest of the room is a bit dated, so they need the renovations. Bed was okay, but topped with a huge pillowtop mattress cover. I sunk down, but my feet were "propped up." Just weird. Microwave was the old "bells and knobs" type. Haven't seen one of those in about a decade. The HVAC was by the window, and also seemed old, but worked well. Went down for breakfast. Oh, by the way, the elevator makes loud, odd noises, every time, a little unsettling. The breakfast was... okay. I expected much more at this price point. A very minimal spread, though the two, count 'em, two hot items were pretty tasty- sausage and a cheese omelet. At $100, I could tolerate most of this, and say to myself "you get what you pay for." At $150, I was disappointed. And tired. Maybe after the renovation is done it will be better, and more quiet. read more

I have had family stay here in the past when they come to town so they are not relying on friends to play host. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to area food chain restaurants. If your looking for local places not food chain head onto in Medina public square where you find sully's Irish pub or pj Marley house of hunan - Chinese food plus many more options The tv remote is in a plastic bag for you protection during COVID-19 with plastic to go cups. Sept 2020: Given the times we are in and the fact that I've been three other Hampton's in the past 2 weeks or so I feel like I can say that this property appeared to me slacking in the disinfecting and cleaning practices; at least visually. When you walk into the lobby you would not feel that way but the remote wasn't wrapped as it has been in the other Hampton's we've stayed in; there hasn't been any signs of that extra touch that we have seen in my other rooms. The front desk people were nice enough. The room appeared updated however the mattress would tell you otherwise. I tried to sleep near the center of the bed but kept rolling back into the dip in the mattress; the pillows were horrible. This hotel is not the Hampton we are accustomed to. read more

The best hotel choice in the Medina area. New (less than 10yo), clean, relatively modern. Close drive (or longish walk) to Buffalo Wild Wings, Arby's, Bob Evans, and a steakhouse who's name escapes me. Good warm breakfast in the morning, and they even offer a to-go breakfast bag which includes an apple, granola bar, muffin and a bottle of water. read more

No warm water to take a shower. Front desk informed me it would take 10 minutes to warm up. After all ready waited 10 minutes. Also they said the water heater was smaller and nothing they could do about it. So I wasn't able to take a hot shower which I booked a room for 2 main reasons. A nice bed and a hot shower. Second stay here. The property is consistent with other Hampton Inns, clean, and in a quiet location. Of course the walls are paper thin so if anyone is in the hallway you can hear their conversation. But overall quiet for a night's sleep. There is an indoor pool, business center, and a workout room with a treadmill , elliptical, and Dumbbells. There is also a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. Hot coffee and tea is available on the lobby in the evening (or maybe it's all day). Free Wi-Fi too. read more

We have stayed at this hotel nearly every year for over 10 years and have always been pleased with the facilities and service. Our last stay, however, was very disappointing. The carpet in the room was dirty enough to stain our socks. The manager told us the carpet squares in the rooms could not be shampooed because each square is held down only by adhesive at four corners. This was after telling us the previous day that room carpets are thoroughly shampooed after pets are kept overnight. The phone, which was supposed to be sanitized, had a sticky, jelly-like substance on it. It may not have been their fault, but the hotel seemed very short-staffed. The manager or desk clerk (who were intermittently on duty) were emptying waste baskets that were set in the hallway, folding towels from the laundry, etc. In the lobby, coffee and water for tea were lukewarm. Garbage receptacles were overflowing. In the breakfast area, the ceiling tiles were peeling, and one looked about ready to drop. Breakfast items were not nearly as good or plentiful as in prior years, and the "breakfast to go" items were also minimal. This hotel has gone downhill drastically in the past year. We plan to stay somewhere else in the future. read more

I love Hampton Inns. They are always very consistent and I love their beds. After staying the previous night of our road trip around the Midwest to see baseball parks in a basic motel, I needed a good night's rest in a nice hotel. We paid about $100 for the night here and it was what I needed after driving a lot. It was very clean and the free wifi was fast and reliable. The location was a quick jump off the freeway and down the street from a Waffle House in one direction and a Dunkin Donuts in the other. This hotel totally served its purpose. They did charge us $10 for a roll-away bed though, which usually happens in hotels, but kinda sucks. read more

This is a standard Hampton Inn. I stayed 2 nights recently as part of a room block for a wedding. As all Hamptons, a breakfast is included and is nice for this type of weekend. It's your standard hotel fare with a hot egg/protein option, pastries, the waffle maker, oatmeal, etc. The staff were really attentive and quick at refilling things which was nice. The pool and fitness room were fine. Though the fitness room was a bit small for the three people in there at the same time, it worked though. The parking lot is a bit tight. They have spaces for diamond members, all of which were empty, so that's frustrating when you get back in the evening and can't find a place to park. Two notable oddities: 1) Our wing of the floor were all wedding guests, and with a 2:00 wedding, we were all planning to leave around 1. I walked in the hallway and the housekeeping staff was standing there and this woman, looking at a list, said, (either to me or herself): "I'm so confused. All these doors have Do Not Disturb." Trying to explain, I told her we were all getting ready for a wedding and would be leaving around 1. She looked at me and said, "You're not leaving until 1?!! We're all going to have to stay late to clean your rooms!" It was an odd comment/conversation and led to other guests (whom I had met in the hallway) responding to say they didn't need their room cleaned. I was just put off by the comment entirely. If the room has to be empty by a certain time to be cleaned, let it be known up front. Don't complain to me, a paying customer, with a schedule because my plans don't align with yours. It was just so odd, that she acted like this had never happened before. 2) The floors are lumpy. Yup, you read that. The beds, pillows, all fine. The floors are almost a tripping hazard. It's weird and I don't get it. Also, because we were a room block, we had to sign a 'no party pledge' which included things like: no drinking in the lobby or public spaces, no congregating in hallways, and no more than 5 people in a room. That was odd and a bit of a wet blanket to be greeted with upon check in. All in all, fine place if you're looking for a convienent, standard place to stay. read more

I always like a Hampton Inn. I checked in unexpectedly at 10pm (I lost my stamina on a road trip). The desk girl gave me my choice of floors and was prompt and courteous getting me checked in. Clean room, comfy bed, hot shower, and those great Hampton amenities (neutrogena products, good in-room coffee). Breakfast was Mexican scrambled eggs and tortillas, in addition to the usual continental items. Overall, for an unplanned pull-off-the highway stay, this was a great night! read more

Let's face it, you're at a Hampton, not a Hilton! But for a clean room and a free breakfast that's better than Cheerios it's not bad shakes. Hamptons are probably my favorite chain to stay at and I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond Member. Now as far as Hamptons go, I find this one a little dated and below par. This was a great Hampton Inn. This brand can be very good, or not so much. This particular hotel had been redone and it was very nice. When I called to make the reservation, the clerk advised me that that there was a large dance troop staying there. She assured me that she would try and give me a quiet room, and she accomplished just that! My husband & I enjoyed a great night's sleep in a clean, quiet and comfortable room. Well...I had been seeking out Hampton Inn's since I generally have very good luck with their facilities. I probably should rate this place 2 to 2.5 stars. If this was the first Hampton Inn I stayed at, I wouldn't be seeking them out. The check in person was fine and friendly. Even the person at breakfast was very nice as I asked for help cleaning up some spilled syrup. My issues was with the smell of the room. When I first walked in I would have thought there was a leaky roof given the odor. Damp. I turned the AC on high to get some air circulation and that helped a little but the smell was still there. For, me, I'll cross this location off my list. We've used Hampton's since we like their beds, pillows, and showers and most of their hotels were pretty new and clean. This one, not sure. read more

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in the last few years. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean, and the hotel (although very full) was quiet. The 24-hour tea and coffee service was nice - I tried the tea at night and the coffee after checking out and both were good quality and fresh. Breakfast was expansive and absolutely delicious - omelettes, sausage, waffles, and an abundance of cereals, breads/bagels, and fruits. I heard one guest ask for sugar-free syrup, which was not displayed, and the hostess immediately found her some. They even had cage-free, organic hard-boiled eggs. The pool and hot tub were very clean and quite large for being indoors - my two kids loved splashing around after a long drive. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. When we checked in, we were offered a crib and bedding for our two year old. The ladies at the front desk even brought the crib up to our room and explained how to set it up. I booked 10 Rooms for a family wedding from 6/11 - 6/15. Hotel staff was wonderful from Thursday 6/11 - Saturday, 6/13. So very friendly, fun and helpful, they could not have been nicer. The night clerk even took the time to take a family group photo on almost ALL of our phones, and did with a smile on her face. HOWEVER, on our last evening the clerk at the front desk was extremely rude and miserable. No friendly, hello, good bye, just a sour face. Our group was middle to senior-aged. We were in the breakfast area watching old home movies on a laptop on Sunday evening, laughing, talking and having a great time. THIS WAS NOT A DRUNKEN group. We were rudely told that there was a "curfew" at the hotel and needed to disperse. It was such a disappointing end to a wonderful long weekend. I'm e astonished at the behavior of someone in this profession. Very disappointed. It really put a damper on what was such a nice occasion. Shortly after posting the above paragraph as a review, I was contacted by corporate and the manager at this location. They offered to send me a "Be My Guest Certificate" for our entire stay. (only after I posted a negative review of course). So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took my negative review down. Guess what? Received a certificate for only 1 night stay. I'm assuming they lied and said whatever they needed to say, just to get me to take down the review. They offered to compensate for the entire 5 day stay (for 1 of our rooms which was fine). I didn't ask - they offered, I accepted. Its principal. I didn't ask for anything, only let them know my concern. They offered and then didn't do as promised. So unprofessional for people who work in customer service. If you require/prefer completely flat and even floors/carpeting to walk on, don't stay here. If you prefer a little water pressure in your shower, don't stay here. If you enjoy being treated rudely after having spent $124.00 per room (we booked 10 rooms), for 4 nights (roughly $5K),stay here. And most importantly, if you don't mind having a curfew placed on you during your stay, by all means, stay here. read more
