This was one of the better hotel stays I have had. Check-in process was great. The room was spacious and not outdated with hidden refrigerator, microwave, work desk and chair, large TV and comfortable beds. There's self service hot breakfast available with juice, tea, coffee as well as delicious choices including Belgian waffles. Checking out was an easy process as well.

This hotel is very nice. It's located near Walmart, Target, Wawa, Home Depot, and many more restaurants and stores. The staff here is awesome, the manager is nice, the front desk Robbie, Pamela and Maddy have been very helpful. Their professional demeanor, and knowledge of customer service has gone over and beyond expected standards. So I appreciate them for making my stay welcoming. Housekeeping has been nice also, and Carolina has been more than helpful to make sure the rooms are cleaned as they should be. Thank you all for your hard work because it is being shown!

I can give towels if they don't bring the dirty ones, I can't believe this in that hotel, when I'm a Honnor Diamond, then we went up for the dirty towels and they gave us 2 new ones for each one lol, the next day at night we went down to ask for clean towels and the girl of the night, is a brunette, we asked her for towels and she gave us 2 large and 2 girls, then we were in the lobby and a brunette arrived and said to the girl, hey give me towels and she gave them one A bag full of towels to ... Then another Moreno came and said the same thing to him and gave him another bag of towels and he never asked for the dirty ones, is that not lying down or what? Filthy old unhygienic bathrooms, dirty carpets and old beds, springs click when you go to bed. I could never recommend this hotel, ever.

    Breakfast

New Jersey's Finest. Highly recommended making this extravagant dish. It consists of toasted bread (lvl 4) on the top and bottom, finely cooked sausage WITH a half eaten omelette in between. You can have whatever to drink on the side but the water is pretty good.

    2 SEPARATE DAYS. DISGUSTING.

Dec 29 - Jan1 2023 Had the worst stay possible at this place. Incompetent front desk staff, filthy rooms, dirty running water for 3+ days, maintenance barging into your room after ignoring knocks. Make sure to take pictures before you stay in your room. Paid 500 for a few nights and faced nothing but inconveniences. Complained to hilton and they would not compensate me because the manager BLATANTLY LIED about all of our complaints and said they were untrue. Good thing I got pictures and videos of the place and sent them to my bank so I was able to get my FULL REFUND. Heres the complaint I filed: Upon arriving, the running water in the faucet and sink was dirty/brown We had to let the water run for about 20-30 minutes to get clean water. This occurred every single night/morning. -On Thursday, Dec 29th, the hotel did not have any running water from the hours of 5pm-12am. They claimed it would only be off until 7pm. After constantly going to the front desk to ask about the water, we were told "we really don't know when it's gonna come back on." I had to check into a different motel just to shower. HUGE inconvenience. -On Friday, Dec 30th, there was no HOT WATER in the early morning hours (about 4am.) I tested the water every hour. The hot water came on around 12pm. Thats one night with no water, then one morning with no HOT water. -Maintenance came into my room on 2 separate mornings around 9-10am and spent about 30 minutes hammering, drilling, and making so much noise. (This also had NOTHING to do with the water issues because shortly after they left, we still had no HOT water) -I complained to the front desk that my air conditioning unit was not working, and that the room was at a steady 74 degrees for hours. I told them this at around 2pm and left for the day. I got back around 8pm, and the lady at the front desk informed me that NO ONE went to fix the problem. After heading back to the room and waiting for maintenance to attempt to get it working (waited about an hour) we had to switch rooms (originally room 340, switched to room 142) because the problem was not fixed. By this time it was around 11pm. I contacted the Hilton/Hampton HR and they opened a case about the listed issues, and told me that the hotel will be in touch within 2 days. I was then told to talk to the manager. When I went to speak to the manager, the lady at the desk said "she comes in at 10" so I went out, came back around 12pm and then was told "she left early today." I went the next day, and they lady at the desk said "she isn't coming in today." This was extremely frustrating. They were clearly avoiding me. This is not the kind of stay I would expect at a Hampton Inn. This stay was absolutely horrible. The front desk was completely useless, and the room conditions were unacceptable. No water, not HOT water, no CLEAN water, broken air conditioning that was never fixed after 6 hours, and noisy mornings with people banging walls in our bathroom. Despite all of this, they told me they wouldn't refund me but offered me 30k hilton points. Lol. Thats like $80? Bye. Shout out to my bank for the help. TLDR: DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Room smelled of fake baby powder. No hot water, just barely warm. It's an ok place. $50 CC charge for incidentals. Nothing here worth that. Little coffee maker, 2 free bottles of Nestle bacon flavoured aftertaste water, microwave, TV, lights went out when I turned coffee maker on. Room fridge, beds, and shower.

This is the nastiest hotel ever. It's too bad, they are surrounded by restaurants and things to do, but the place is filthy and the rooms are nasty.

This will not, and should not, be graded on the same criteria and expectations as a Ritz-Carlton or Mandarin hotel. Understanding this, it still fails and should be avoided. I would not pay to stay here--ever. Cleanliness was the largest failure. The bathroom was not clean (see pictures) in any sense of the definition. The bathtub had a layer dirt caked in it. There was hair all over the tiles--if you look at the pics, I don't have curly hair. The toilet was dirty on the seat and around it. In the main room, there was a piece of tape stuck to the vanity top with yet another person's hair on it. This person's hair was only slightly curly. The next area of failure was the accommodations. Again, I do not expect luxury in any sense however I do not expect broken or filthy items in the room. The shower curtain (see pics) had holes throughout the middle of the curtain. A shower curtain retails for $4. This is a joke. The coffee machine was covered in a white film. The person at the front desk was very pleasant, however the hotel is completely mismanaged. Avoid.

You know how people say "I would give it negative stars if I could"? Holy smokes... I would give it…read moreone negative star for every second that I had to stay here. Where to start: The front desk was awful. You usually just stand there and wait for someone to come to the empty front desk. Even then, the person you see tends to operate as though you're annoying them or preventing them from doing something they really want to do. The lady gave us our keys and didn't bother to tell us where the elevator was, how to get to the room, where the pool is, or where the gym is. Must have overlooked it. The first room I had seemed to be occupied or not ready, based on the trash piled outside, my key not working, and noises I heard inside. The front desk then gave me a second room that had the latch on the door busted and completely missing AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK. I hated having to complain yet again, but basic security, at a minimum, should be there. The young lady finally "upgraded" me to a more spacious suite. The suite was fine, but the bathroom is disgusting, stained, and smelled bad. Not only that, I could hear the people in the other rooms arguing as well as the people outside, and kids crying from another room. Nightmarish. I honestly can't emphasize how badly I wish I had never stayed here, nor how very much you should stay away, and the certainty with which I will never stay here again.

After getting help to get out I reported the incident and they took the report refusing to give me a copy. I asked for a rubber mat to insure that those staying with me would not experience the same fate. They NEVER RESONDED. I needed to go to the ER and came back with a sling. I was not asked by anyone in the front desk, or higher if I was okay or asked if I needed anything. It was as if nothing ever happened. I walked over to housekeeping and asked them for a rubber mat for the tub. They said the hotel DIDN'T HAVE ANY. We needed to take TOWEL BATHS each day to avoid the hazard. When I got home I made several calls to inquire about liability information. I finally got a number they assured me could help me, but all I could get was a message machine and no one returned my call. We were also on the first floor and EACH NIGHT AROUND MIDNIGHT there was yelling and fighting in the hall and no one at the front desk, not far away, brought anything to order or called the police. This experience was the worst case of not caring about the safety of their customers, no concern for the customer and neglect of the customers forget about hospitality and customer service! Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend the Holiday Inn Express Suites Woodbridge by HIG in Avenel, NJ.

Given that there were 4 events on Saturday night, it was extremely loud. No way to just stay on the first floor. My room was spacious but lacked a really good scrubbing and required some maintenance. The tub faucet loose, the room door did not close completely without a really good push. The tub floor was stained and didn't look like it was scrubbed in a long time. Along with the room we got complementary coffee and tea but only during breakfast hours. Other times in was about $3.50 a cup. Overall it was okay because of the wedding but I wouldn't make it a point to stay there again.

Beware of Deceptive Booking Practices - Hilton Staten Island, NY…read more Beware of Deceptive Booking Practices - Hilton Staten Island, NY I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated by my recent experience attempting to book a stay at the Hilton in Staten Island, NY. Traveling for a funeral, I specifically searched for Hilton's official website, avoiding third-party booking sites or deceptive links. The site I used appeared legitimate--it displayed Hilton's branding, room images, and seemed no different from previous direct bookings I've made. Unfortunately, I made an error with my dates and called the phone number listed to correct it, assuming I was speaking directly with Hilton. Instead, I was connected to Priceline--without any clear indication that I had booked through a third party. I was informed that my reservation was non-refundable, and despite my willingness to simply adjust the dates (not cancel outright), I was being charged over $900 whether I stayed or not. At no point in my booking process did I knowingly choose Priceline, nor was it obvious that I was dealing with a third party. Hilton's name and images were all over the site, making it indistinguishable from booking directly with them. To make matters worse, when I contacted Hilton directly using the number listed on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) site, their staff acknowledged seeing my canceled reservation but refused to assist in any way. The manager at this location refused to even get on the phone with me. Instead, she told the front desk clerk to tell me to call my bank to see if they could help. I was polite but obviously frustrated--there is no reason to be cruel. She simply would not speak to me. This means Hilton knowingly aligns itself with these deceptive business practices, allowing customers to be misled into booking through third parties who enforce rigid, predatory policies. This is an absolute consumer protection concern. On top of grieving and traveling for a funeral, I am now out $900 for absolutely nothing and left with a huge hassle during an already difficult time. Hilton has made it clear they do not value their customers, and I will never bother them with my business again. If you are booking a Hilton stay, triple-check that you are on the official Hilton website and do NOT trust the phone number or links listed on Google or third-party search results. The lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable for a major hotel chain, and I urge others to be extremely cautious.

Having stayed at Embassy Suites several times before, the overall experience--rooms, breakfast, and amenities--was as expected: solid and reliable. What really stood out during this stay, however, was the service. Alejandro and Grant were both excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. Alejandro in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, which made a real difference. The hotel itself is still in good shape, with well-maintained interiors and comfortable room furnishings. The location is also a big advantage. While it's close to the airport, there's also a large outlet mall nearby, along with an arcade, bowling alley, and several dining options--great for both adults and kids. One of the biggest benefits compared to staying in Manhattan is avoiding the hassle of traffic and expensive parking. From the hotel, it's about a 20-25 minute drive to the Holland Tunnel, making access to the city surprisingly easy. A nice bonus was the evening reception--snacks and drinks served by a very kind and attentive bartender and staff, which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside during our stay was that the pool was closed, which was a bit disappointing as it would have helped burn off some of the kids' energy. That said, it's a minor drawback compared to everything else the hotel offers. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable stay with excellent service. I would definitely consider staying here again.
