I have been a Hampton Inn guy for over a decade. I appreciate the consistency. I am rarely thrilled (although the downtown Phoenix and Spokane Downtown-South properties are wonderful exceptions) AND I am rarely disappointed...until this weekend. Even the exterior of this property indicated I had chosen poorly...and it was downhill from there once I entered the facility. Tired, poorly maintained and filthy. Signs promise a future renovation...but I fear it may be a "lipstick on a pig" situation. Maybe they'll prove me wrong...but I would suggest doing a bit of research before making a reservation. This place does no favors for the Hampton Inn brand.

    Trim & bathroom door.

    1. There should have been a notice that this hotel was under renovation. It was a disaster! Dirty! Floors torn up. Doors off hinges. Disgusting green pool. Broken windows overlooking the pool. 2. Our bathroom was also a disaster. The glass shower doors had something dripped down them. There was construction debris in the shower. The bathroom door was scraped up too. No discount was offered despite the condition of this hotel. We will reconsider staying at ANY Hampton Inn or Hilton property!

This is a pretty outdated hotel. Stains on the furniture, walls are all scuffed up and the lighting in the room is terrible. I found myself trying to flip the light switch to get more light in the bathroom even though the light was already on. A comfort height toilet would be a nice edition when and if they ever upgrade the place. I felt like I was sitting on a child's sized potty. Breakfast usually consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, toast, yogurt, coffee and juice. Nothing fabulous but edible. The staff was pleasant and the location is near everything. In the end the entire hotel needs a major overhaul.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great breakfast selection including vegan options and a free appetizer at the restaurant next door. Staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. Indoor pool (though the hours arent great, and they lock the doors during off times) Fitness center has better hours.

Filthy door handle in our room

I am a loyal Hilton customer, but this was the worst Hilton property I've ever stayed at. First time I've ever had a bug in my hotel room. It was filthy dirty. Our walls were streaked with who knows what. Badly needs updating. They gave us a deep discount when my husband showed them a pic of the bug, which was nice, and worth a star.

Old hard moldy orange in my breakfast bag.

The King bed room was $249 a night before taxes, parking, etc for a final $1,098.27 for 4days/3nights and roughly $80 of that was from food and beverage bled to the room. The service really stood out from check in to check out. Everyone from housekeeping to the front desk, was friendly and welcoming every time I passed by or needed anything it was a great encounter. It was every staff member. I chose self parking in the garage over valet. Plenty of parking and easy to access. The restaurants are good. I frequented Loaf + Vine Market quite a bit, along with Starbucks upstairs, then High Velocity, and the lobby bar. Nice to have solid options right in the hotel. The room felt luxurious with great amenities with wood accents in the foyer, floor to ceiling windows, a safe, mini fridge, full size ironing board, great bathroom, plenty of hot water (32nd floor), a nice desk area for working, and a good size TV. The workout facilities were great too with water and fresh fruit provided. No downsides during my stay. Overall, really impressed with both the service and the experience. Would definitely stay here again.

When we got into the room. The staff was super accommodating and made sure that we removed a few doors down to a room that was smoke-free. Room was a good quality. Double beds. Shower okay, no bathtub. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The only downside about the coffee maker was that the universal coffee and plastic attachments did not go with the machine. It should have been a closed environment, but it was not. Once you inserted the plastic coffee filter and place the coffee filter pod into the maker, there was a gap, which led to splashing of the hot water onto the coffee filter pod that led to coffee Bean all over the desk. Breakfast every morning. Waffles, either scrambled eggs or pre-cooked omelette, pork sausage, chicken sausage. Golden potatoes, yogurt, fruit, various breads, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Pretty good size dining room as well. On the second floor. Second floor was also where the fitness center was. The floors were labeled with having vending machines on floors 4 and 7:00, but I could not find any. There was a snack area on the first floor where you could purchase snacks by scanning with self-checkout. Refrigerated items, frozen items, candy, chips, etc. The only thing the room really needed was a deep clean. Crevices and corners could have used some extra care and love. Outside of that, no complaints. Security key required to get into the hotel, as well as up the elevator.

Our suite was plenty spacious and had a fun urban/industrial vibe with exposed brick. The bed was more on the firm side, but that is my preference anyway! If you don't wanna go anywhere in the morning, they did have a complimentary breakfast, but again it is so perfectly located between tons of great restaurants. My only knock was that the customer service experience at the desk was a bit different between the night staff and the morning stuff. The young woman who is working overnight, seemed very preoccupied and slightly annoyed when I had some pretty basic questions. This was completely contrasted by the young woman who was working in the morning. I saw her going above and beyond whether it was making sure the trash left for breakfast was taken care of or checking us out. Having worked in hospitality, I understand that anybody can have a bad night, but overall our stay was great and we would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming in town from one of the major events or anyone just looking to have a fun staycation.
