My last review I overlooked Sunita such a sweet host who treats all like her best friend. I can't say enough about the folks who wonderful staff who assist with your arrival. The housekeepers are very diligent to address your needs up in your room. I have stayed here for several weeks and they do not disappoint. While the presence of cleaning supplies is proven by the strong smell in the hallways the popcorn on the floor for 3 nights was also telling. We booked a double queen room and was not happy with my feet dangling from the end. It was apparent these were full sized beds and not queens. The breakfast was subpar lacking sufficient bread for toast, and the standard hard boiled eggs. The rooms seemed to be sufficient and clean. To top off our stay we had the delightful experience to call for help in the elevator on our way out the last morning. I have been a Hampton Inn guy for over a decade. I appreciate the consistency. I am rarely thrilled (although the downtown Phoenix and Spokane Downtown-South properties are wonderful exceptions) AND I am rarely disappointed...until this weekend. Even the exterior of this property indicated I had chosen poorly...and it was downhill from there once I entered the facility. Tired, poorly maintained and filthy. Signs promise a future renovation...but I fear it may be a "lipstick on a pig" situation. Maybe they'll prove me wrong...but I would suggest doing a bit of research before making a reservation. 1. There should have been a notice that this hotel was under renovation. It was a disaster! Dirty! Floors torn up. Doors off hinges. Disgusting green pool. Broken windows overlooking the pool. 2. This is a pretty outdated hotel. Stains on the furniture, walls are all scuffed up and the lighting in the room is terrible. I found myself trying to flip the light switch to get more light in the bathroom even though the light was already on. A comfort height toilet would be a nice edition when and if they ever upgrade the place. I felt like I was sitting on a child's sized potty. Breakfast usually consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, toast, yogurt, coffee and juice. Nothing fabulous but edible. The staff was pleasant and the location is near everything. I really should give them fewer stars, but my experience was so bad, it's funny! The room they gave me had been so trashed, I thought it was a practical joke. Huge burn holes in the carpet, stains everywhere--some even three dimensional. A bathroom with floors so sticky that my shoes took effort to lift from the floor, and a bathtub that needed to be sandblasted clean. I was honestly afraid to lie down on the bed in fear of being poked by a hypodermic needle. Luckily, the front desk gave me a much better room, but when my friend checked in ninety minutes later, THEY GAVE HER THE SAME ROOM! Stayed here 3 nights and it was dismal. We did not have a fridge or microwave so the only good part was that the front desk had a staff member give us a fridge, microwave for our stay. Our room had ants, spiders and gnats which is a reason never to stay here. The breakfast is a joke and is just nasty. The eggs, sausage were just disgusting. It's worth skipping and going elsewhere for breakfast. Our room never got cleaned, so when we got back each day we took our trash out. I would not stay here again. Upon arrival was promptly greeted by Ryan at the front desk. Although my room was not ready, I was kindly given a wifi code so I could work from the lobby. When my room was ready , he came and got me so I could get keys and move to my room. The room was standard to any Hampton Inn. Overall the room itself was pretty clean. The bed was uncomfortable. However the blinds were sticky when I tried to open and close. There was also people sitting in lawn chairs in the parking lot that I thought was strange. Also, our door kept banging so we had to put towels to help with the noise. We were right by the laundry room, vending machine, and ice machine so it was a little noisy as well. If there was an ability to give zero stars or a half, I would. The reason we stayed here was for a baseball tournament where we were assigned a team hotel. The outside of the hotel looks like a dilapidated haunted house. There is construction going on around the hotel with trucks backing up (beep beep beep) that's not as bad as the lack of patio furniture or even clean doors when you walk into the lobby. Once in the lobby, you know you are in for a disgusting experience. Pipes leaking by the coffee machine with old, discolored or partially missing ceiling tiles. The outdated, carpeted breakfast area is in need of a cleaning and update. Do not look at the floor outside the workout facility, it appears a human lost a significant amount of blood and there was a half hearted attempt to clean it up. With any frustration you have, so not bother going to use the Peleton, it's out of order. Retreat back to your room by taking an elevator that sounds like it's going to be your last moments on earth. Once you make it to your room, you will find stained couches, drywall that's coming apart at the seams, dirty sinks with dead bugs under the vanity, candle wax on carpet, and an overall filth feel to the room. I'm so incredibly upset by my experience and cannot believe Hilton wants to be associated with this type of property. Gross. Stay away. NEVER again! read more

Double down on the overall uncleanliness (garbage cans not emptied, overall smell of mold in all rooms and even some bed bug sitings) and then the unhospitality as a whole. Our beds were made of bricks. My back is killing me. I'm not sure how old the beds are or what they're made of but they made a crunching sound. The pillows are all feather down pillows so good luck with the morning neck pain! The pool was the main part we stayed for. The windows were amazing!!! But the pool is NOT heated so it was kinda chilly. Also the ceiling in the pool room left much to be desired. It seemed they had changed out most of the old panels but they still had a few black mold covered tiles and some exposed insulation. All the drink vending machines were out of order for cards and we didn't have any change. Our toilet seat was barely on the toilet. I actually had to screw it on all the way. We stayed during construction. Would have been nice to know they were renovating when we booked but I'm sure there's not much to do about that. The top two floors seemed freshly painted and clean. Ours however was okay. The floors even in the lobby seem dated and old so I understand the need for the renovation. They had some gatorades available and a few snacks. Going to check out breakfast soon but don't have much hope for it. read more

We came in for a hockey tournament and planned a pre-game nap after a long drive nap but the noise from construction was too loud. Hallways a mess, elevators are freezing, 9am and you need your door key to get back in the main door (very inconvenient for people putting their luggage in their car), pealing wallpaper in the dining area, bagels so stale they could bounce, uncomfortable bed, not enough pillows was told they been ordered. read more

Wowzers! At first it wasn't too bad. I missed the renovation message, but that's on me. The pool looked promising; but the room temp was 66 degrees and the pool to the hand touch was way colder. We told the front desk and they gave the old "we'll let someone know." The treadmill in the workout room didn't work. Then after taking a shower in our room, the handle on the shower fell off! There was no mention of cold pool, non-working treadmill, or faulty room fixtures, only " Good morning Mr./Ms. RYAN, please be aware that our hotel is currently undergoing renovations to enhance your future stays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we want to assure you that we are still fully operational and committed to providing you with the exceptional service you expect." This is the exceptional service and normal?? Avoid this place at all costs! I don't mind the cosmetic things, but the stuff that is not being renovated should be totally functional..... read more

I wasn't going to post a review of this place but after I opened my breakfast to go bag, I couldn't not post a review. (I'll get to that) I stayed here 5/2/19-5/21/19. The elevator license that is posted, is expired (5/3/19). The room was small. I had one of the "updated" king bedrooms. The built in looks nice but doesn't function well at all. I had to pull the desk out and place it between the air conditioner and tv in order to sit behind it (There is no space between the bed and the built in area). This seemed to solve my problem until the sun started to set. There was no desk lamp. So I couldn't get much work done. The only lights in the room are next to the bed attached to the wall so I couldn't use them either. The mattress was springy and not overly comfortable. Then when I checked out I grabbed one of the "to-go" bags as I didn't want to hang around for breakfast. There was the normal bottle of water, a granola bar, and a hard and inedible orange! Makes we wonder when the last time they actually assembled a new bag. Now I'm going to have to stop and grab something for breakfast. I'm in town several nights a month for work, and I can assure you that I will more than likely never be back to this Hampton. Definitely doesn't live up to the standard that I have come to expect from this brand of hotels. read more

Questionable carpet stains everywhere, one working elevator, freezing cold hallways, and couches, furniture were mostly stained and crusty looking. We had to switch rooms before bedtime when we realized the pullout couch was broken - and the mattress had gross stains all over it. The pool is big, but some of the ceiling tiles were coming apart when we got there and by the time we left there was part of a ceiling tile floating in the pool. Check in was extremely easy because I did it through my App, but the next day things became disturbing. Housekeeping was extremely late and when she came I watched our housekeeper, pick up our dirty towels, then do our bathroom trash(some spilt out, which she left, then bring the can back, touch our towels, do our other trash, bring back more towels and all with her bare hands. I was disgusted. I'm actually glad she didn't make up our bed. I then took a walk to speedway, walked around for a bit, made a purchase and found her in the same location outside our room and playing loud explicit rap music. Minus that experience I also ate breakfast my first morning, which was typical, but cold and not because it was suppose to be. My room size was also typical for a regular king, although I was in a king with a sofa, Fridge, and Microwave. However,the front desk personal were alway friendly and professional, the coffee was always hot downstairs and I love the connivence of a back door exit with parking. The back door made checking out easier as I was able to park near the door, load my baggage and then quickly checkout. All and all I would choose another hotel before this one if it's location was just as good, if not better. read more

They called the week we were coming and switched us to a 2 star hotel 30 minutes away and said that they would no longer willing to offer us the discounted rate. Underwhelming at best. The hotel is older. The beds were like sleeping on plywood, complete with a dip in the middle. We were a part of a group and they all agreed the beds were awful. The temp in the room was difficult to maintain and control. We were told we'd have a room with a fridge, but didn't. When I called down they did bring me one but it STANK. There were a group of 14-15 year old boys who set off fireworks in the hall twice and were playing in the stairwells, tossing food and trash around and leaving it. They pretty much did whatever they wanted and got away with it. The fruit they offer at breakfast was good, however they need to take lessons on how to properly prepare powdered eggs. The bacon tasted off as well. The yogurt selection was decent and our kids liked the waffles and mini boxes of cold cereal. The muffins were a little dry but decent. Tommy at the front desk was was always friendly. My husband and I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's. This one isn't worth the price they charge. It's by far the worst we've experienced. Definitely top three worst out of all of the hotel's we've ever stayed at. There are plenty of places to choose from in this area. Be sure to shop around. read more

This is an older Hampton inn, right by I-69 interstate just outside of the Indy ring road. We stay a couple of nights, just exploring Indy. The hotel room was fine, but we had a little challenge getting the room temperature level. It was a cold room and the heater was on almost all the time. But we really didn't spend much time in the room, besides sleeping. The hotel entrance was hidden away, behind a restaurant and a fireworks place. Plenty of parking. It is a bigger Hampton inn, with a large indoor pool, an exercise room, and a small meeting room. The breakfast was large and generous. 82nd street is the exit and a main road in Castleton, with a large number of malls and restaurants North of hotel. From I-69, you can get on the ring road or drive into downtown along the Fall Creek Highway. Ok, so why only 3 stars. The room tempature was an issue, you could tell there was little insulation around the window frame, and having your drunk neighbors having a screaming angruement at 3am, doesn't help. I guess, ultimately, 10-15 years ago, this would have been the edge of suburbia, but now it's sort of middle ground. Good enough, but there are alternatives. read more

To begin, this hotel is incredibly overpriced, 170 for a single bed that is not even comfortable is way too much. I asked the front desk for a rollaway bed but they did not accept my request. We are Hilton Diamond members, and if we ever need a place to stay in Indianapolis again and this property is the only option, I will choose to sleep in my car or just keep driving. It is an older property, which did not bother us. However, on Friday night, the hotel was full of kids, and in fact, the lobby was full of loud kids when I checked in at about 930-10 that night. On our floor, many of them ran the halls until late in the night, and then they completely clogged the lobby and breakfast area on Saturday morning. We tolerated that because, well, those things happen. We were gone all day Saturday for the Notre Dame football game, and when we returned to the property at about midnight, we arrived to the entire 4th floor REEKING of marijuana as soon as the elevator doors opened. We then got to maneuver around three young ladies (early 20s), all of whom appeared intoxicated and one of whom who was barefoot and scantily clad, standing at the door next to us trying to get the occupant to open the door. Inhaling marijuana odor in the hallway and our room was a bit much, so we called the front desk. Security was sent up and also detected the marijuana odor, but what happened from there we don't know. Due to a change of plans, we had to stay in Indy for a third night, but instead of packing everything back up, loading the car, and moving to another location, we decided to suck it up and just stay at the same place. After all, we were basically just going to be sleeping there, and how much worse could it get? Challenge accepted, or so it seems. We arrived home tonite at about 8:45 to find a message on our home machine (left on Saturday at 1:38 pm) telling us that someone complained about a dog in the hallway and reminding us that only service dogs were allowed. First, we are NOT at home because we are staying at your property. Second, I then call the property to ask about the phone call, and the desk clerk then said "oh yeah, people complained that there was a dog barking in your room all night and kept them from sleeping". Really??? Our dog died on Memorial Day 2013, and we haven't owned a dog since then. In fact, we will never own a dog because it is far more work than my husband and I are willing to put in at this point in our lives. Rather than making the accusations via a phone call to a home phone or on a phone call made by a guest AFTER check out, how about sending security or a hotel employee to our room to ask us nicely while we are actually on the property (and maybe look around the room)? In fact, I personally called the front desk late Saturday night/early Sunday to report the marijuana, and the male desk clerk never asked about a dog. On Sunday morning around 11, I spoke with another desk clerk (Kyle, the same one who left the message at my home) about being able to stay in the same room for the 3rd night of our stay, and he never asked me about having a dog. At about 3 pm Sunday afternoon, I then got new room keys from Kristen, who also failed to ask about a dog (and she is desk clerk I talked to tonite that told me people complained about it). Nope, that apparently would've made way too much sense to have one of the three employees with whom I initiated contact to simply ask me about the situation and been far more direct. It's easier to make blind accusations and offend a very loyal Hilton customer. Never again will we stay at this property. read more

The first room they put us in the AC wasn't working (it was 80 degrees in the room!), the closet door was broken (barely hanging up), the sheets on the pull out sofa were DIRTY, there was only 1 shampoo bottle, only 1 disposable cup and only 1 coffee packet. Allison, the front desk girl, was able to get us a new room and she let us test the AC before we moved rooms. She was the only good part about this hotel! Once we moved rooms we discovered the pull out sofa bed was about 1 inch thick and every single spring could be felt! It was extremely uncomfortable for my 12 year athlete (who was there to play 8 baseball games) to sleep on! The king bed and pillows weren't much better; it was like sleeping on a wood board. The bathroom door you had to use all your might to close and open and I'm sure everybody on the 3rd floor could hear it! Again, the bathroom only had 1 shampoo bottle; no conditioner or soap!!! If you're not cleaning rooms due to Covid then you need to supply more than ONE shampoo bottle along with the conditioner AND soap...especially when your guest is staying FIVE nights!!! The so called free breakfast is a JOKE! A turkey and cheese sandwich is NOT appropriate breakfast food! There was also multiple times that our kids discovered people doing drugs in the parking lot and having sex in cars! This hotel and surrounding area is a DUMP! read more

For those saying this is the nicest place or nicest Hampton they have stayed in, they don't get out much. I am a Hilton diamond member and have stayed at Hiltons all over the US. This one is not great at all. The staff is friendly and that is where it ends. The bed is not comfortable. The wifi (premium wifi on the first floor) doesn't work at all. I turned my wifi off so I could get signal. And the price is high for what you get. Avoid this unless it is booked everywhere else, or you are not very picky. read more

My family did not have the opportunity to actually stay here. My daughter and her basketball team are scheduled to compete in a tournament this weekend and we were given 2 hotel options to stay at by Under Armor/Zero Gravity Travel Service. We chose to stay as a team at the Hampton Inn and our girls were looking forward to some team bonding in the hotel pool all weekend. Three days before our scheduled arrival our team as well as 2 other teams from our organization were called (although I personally never received a call) to notify us we were being moved to a different hotel 30 minutes further away next to the airport with 2 less stars that had no pool and we would be charged the same price. We booked this block of rooms 3 months ago but were told that the hotel oversold (BY 27 ROOMS WORTH?!?) and basically because we had a discounted group rate we were first to go because they can make more money off of the people scrambling to book last minute. I'm a pretty "go with the flow" type of person but I just find this horrible business practice and very unkind to do to a large group of 11-14 year old children who were so excited about their weekend getaway together. Our director had to then spend an entire day on the phone trying to rectify the situation and find last minute lodging for 27 families. I'd also like to point out that the manager gave the list of families to call to the gentleman working the evening shift who really didn't have the answers we needed and kept telling us we'd have to call and speak to her in the morning...very cowardly act on her part in my opinion and I actually felt bad for this poor gentleman making the calls. read more
