We were in Michigan for work and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Novi. While we were staying here for work it was the middle of winter time and non-stop snowing outside. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our visit to Detroit . Very clean, free WiFi, free breakfast, and free parking. Water and coffee are available downstairs as well. Mike and Samantha were great and delivered everything we asked for. The hotel rooms that face the MICHIGAN 5 get a lot of road noise and so ask for a room on the other side of the hotel if you're easily bothered by noise. read more

This is a newer Hilton with all the bells and whistles. I stayed over the ultra cold Thanksgiving 2024 weekend from Wednesday through Sunday. I had a great experience but I did witness someone else have a bad experience. It was over my least favorite part of the experience which was breakfast. Breakfast has limited healthy options and no turkey sausage or bacon. I was told their supplier no longer offers turkey as an option. We ended up eating turkey from Thanksgiving day dinner with eggs for Fri/Sat/Sun. Some guests were told that they were taking too much food! I would say they should've been prepared for the amount of guests they had. There were a lot of kids but the cocoa wasn't continuously stocked. When it's cold it should be plentiful. I like it with my decaf coffee. Be sure to get breakfast early or you'll miss out on the healthy options like Greek yogurt. Boiled eggs, sugary cereal, oatmeal, muffins, white toast, peanut butter and jelly, powdered eggs every day with one meat, either kielbasa/pork sausage links/pork sausage patties/sausage gravy with biscuits and signature waffles. Fresh coffee was always available but tea went fast. I'm glad that travel with my own. Leos Coney Island has other options if you want something different/healthier and is within 500 feet of the hotel. Onto the rest of the experience from the top, Wednesday check in was excellent. We were even told about the gas station within a quick walk (about 500 feet) from the hotel. The clerk noticed I was taking a picture and added "Happy Thanksgiving" to the . She was such a sweetheart (I think she was pregnant)! I didn't see her again during our stay but she was very helpful. The hotel was super clean and location is pretty close to airport. They have a great selection at breakfast and the staff is wonderful! Shout out to Aya, Lakisha, and Afif for their outstanding hospitality. Good hotel overall but their bathtubs cannot hold water. Tried to take a bath after work and it constantly lost water

First, I want to say I'm a fan of the Hilton chains of hotels. For many years, the vast majority of my stays at Hampton Inns were very good to excellent experiences. My recent stay at the Hampton In. Commerce Novi was EXCELLENT. The Front Desk did something both kind and generous. I was traveling by car and arrived at 9AM, Six hours before check-in starts. It was a Friday and I wanted to know if I could work in the Business Center until my room was ready. The Front Desk person confirmed my identity and two-day reservation. A minute later, the agent said they had a room available and could check me in now. This was huge for me. I'm very appreciative of this gesture. It represents true hospitality, which is the hallmark of the Hilton brand. Thank you! The room and common areas were perfectly clean and well maintained. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

The hotel suited my needs for the night. It was pricey compared to the last time I stayed here, about $50 more than the previous year. Had a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was okay....the usual for Hampton. I didn't use the pool, so no comment. Parking is free. My only problem was that I prepaid for this room. I got a discounted rate for doing so. But when I got back home, my credit card bill arrived and I was charged twice! I immediately called the hotel....this is about two weeks after my stay. The manager was understanding and said he would seriously look into this. That same day......a Sunday, the main hotel manager called me and explained how the mistake happened. She was very apologetic and immediately removed the charge. I've never pre-paid for a hotel room ever since this incident. Yes, I would stay here again, but to be honest I'm going to be staying next door at the Country Inn and Suites. It was a bit cheaper. We'll see how that goes. read more

Nice Hampton in Commerce in heart of Oakland county-- right at 14 and Haggerty. Room and bathroom were immaculate and clean-- I really appreciate this after a long day of travel. I've stayed at the town place suites next door and this hotel is the better of the two IMO- breakfast area far surpasses the town place and the room was cleaner. Breakfast area was well stocked when it was busy, Front desk clerk was attentive and friendly. I can't ask for much more in a Hampton, this property is good representative of the brand. read more

Having driven over 14 hours to arrive at the hotel, I was in a bit of a mood. But that passed within moments of entering the lobby as Amber at the front desk greeted us cheerfully. Her energy just lightened our mood and got us ready for a relaxing evening. In the morning, Dawn passed me in the hall and made sure to ask if my room was alright and if I needed anything. The hotel is clean with well kept rooms. The rooms are a little smaller than your average Hampton Inn, but they're not cramped. You'll still have plenty of room, your suitcase just won't be a mile away. I'll happy add this to my company's list of preferred stays for next time we are in the area. read more

The Hampton Inn provides clean, quality rooms with excellent service. I could not be more satisfied with my stay and I will be back again. The rooms themselves were huge with large bathrooms and ample room to move around. There was no visible aging inside the building and all of the finishes were quality. Every looked and felt clean. This Hampton Inn offered all the standard amenities. The complimentary continental breakfast was actually the best I've ever experienced from a hotel! They have a make your own waffle bar with tons of toppings, plenty of hot food options and a large selection of pastries. Wifi was fast and reliable. read more

Absolutely the best business hotel I've ever stayed at. They have everything you need; USB ports in the room, nice complimentary water bottles and small snacks, complimentary BEERS and chili's at night, clean room and it's in a convenient location. The hotel us very new and we'll managed. Super easy to get to, plenty or parking and lots of new amenities. The biggest issue I had was the road noise and generally thin walls. It was not a quiet hotel - odd number rooms appear to be the ones facing the noisy road. This hotel does have digital key, a pool and gym. The breakfast was great and I thought everyone was very friendly. I love the Hampton experience, not a fan of the loud rooms and noisy street. read more

Customer service was great, noise level was quiet, the hotel and room were VERY clean, and the breakfast was good too. The only complaint i can make is our room only had one rag. That's it. The ONLY reason this is not a one-star review is because of the striving service from all the staff we dealt with. From kindly Kalpana in the breakfast area to Carlos who helped us at the desk to the maid who chatted pleasantly in the elevator as we were headed out, all the staff we encountered at this place was great. But lord, save me from the other guests! We stayed over two nights here. On Friday night we were on the second floor, down the hall from a bunch of apparently unsupervised young teens who spent the late hours stomping down the halls banging on each others' doors: "Is ___ in here?" "No, he's in room X!" Etc. Stomp stomp stomp. Seriously? If that stuff wasn't bad enough, at 2:30 a.m. we heard someone apparently trying to get into our room (key card in door). My father checked the peephole to see a woman with five small children (including one in a baby carrier) messing with the door, so he opened it. She realized that she had the wrong room, and as he closed it she could be heard yelling at one of her small kids that the girl had told her the wrong room number (um, you're the adult?). Two-thirty a.m., folks... So when we went down for breakfast the next morning we mentioned this at the desk and Carlos kindly hooked us up with a new room on the fourth floor. It was much quieter up there (no stompers), BUT Saturday night we got crank calls to the room telephone at 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.!! My dad only managed to get the phone once, but he said it was just dead air, no laughing or talking or anything. People, GET A LIFE! Based on this experience I wouldn't stay here again. The building has also been here a few years and could use some updating, but beside that I wouldn't risk another sleepless vacation. read more

Over the weekend I was a guest. The pool heat was not on. And I witnessed management called the cops on a woman with seven kids who were there strictly for swimming. I'll never go back there. They treated that lady and those kids like complete garbage. The lady was cool, collective, and calm. She offered solid solutions. They called the cops and had to leave the hotel at dark with those kids. Shame on the hotel management. read more

Hotel Manager is rude. His Assistant Manger is not helpful because she has to take orders from a rude Manager. Hiltons are known for great service & exceeding expectations. Unfortunately, this location goes unchecked by Hilton corporate allowing the unskilled manager to speak poorly to valued loyal Hilton members. My reasons for travel are often for family matters & these times are not always celebratory so when Hilton does not treat me valued it is horrible. read more

You can tell they really care about their guests. Even when their guests live near by, but need to stay at a hotel for house renovations they will show you the greatest guest experience. Brand new hotel. This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Great hospitality. Very friendly and prestigious inside and out. We had a jacuzzi room for Valentine's Day weekend. My boyfriend somehow managed to stop by the night before and drop off rose petals, so when we walked in they had it all decorated. Breakfast was very good, they had a full buffet. Cereal, oatmeal, fruit, sausage, eggs, French toast and waffles. Juices and coffees they really had everything. The manager was very friendly and said next time we come in ask for him and he'll hook us up. Such a great stay! read more

UGH the high winds took out our electricity so we went off to a hotel to enjoy the hot tub. Oh, let's not forget the electricity too! This location in still fine tuning an entire remodel. Everything is clean and new. The front desk staff very efficient and kind. The engineer on staff very helpful. Our remote window treatments were beautiful but the remote worked when it wanted to. We had no shower curtain which was taken care of in a prompt and timely manor. The pool and hot tub area was nice,however, the hot tub could use a little more heat. It just did not measure up to the experience we typically enjoy at other properties. The towels were very small with poor absorption. There were none of the Hampton Inn Cookies available to go with the coffee either. We were told that there are no cookies on the weekend? It was Friday. I was just at the Boston Hampton Inn where I believe we had cookies on two separate visits prior to and following a trip abroad. Maybe I would return? read more

I have normally spent a whole lot more, but thought that was silly for one night. I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and decor of room and conveniences such as fridge, microwave- things you dont always get at other hotels that cost a whole lots more. Maher and the rest of the staff were incredibly hospitable. They truly make a big effort to go above and beyond at this Hampton Inn. From the quiet/ clean rooms, to the smiling faces at the front desk, to the free dinner in the lobby (catered by Johnny Carinos). My bed was also VERY comfortable. . We had a nice stay at this location on New year's Eve. It was clean, staff was friendly, and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. I see another post with photos of a stall shower but we had a standard tub in our bathroom. She also mentioned a free breakfast but that was not included in our rate. Would have been nice. Our room 319 was adjacent to the elevators and we could hear them humming in our room. But we brought a fan for white noise so that didn't bother us while we slept. Location is not near any exciting places but you can walk to Leo's Coney Island or Wendys for food and Costco and a grocery store are next door (by car). Overall we were pleased and would stay here again if needed. read more

Their staff first said they had no record of my complaint and then the general manager admitted that an email was sent to him regarding my issue. We stayed at this Hampton Inn for two nights and held a one day seminar in the conference room. The hotel was clean and the staff appeared helpful. Our clients arrived and were happy with the conference room. We had lunch delivered to us from Jimmy John's which was good and delivered promptly. We had purchased drinks for our clients and the Ref in the conference room was great for keeping them cold and ready to drink. Our client's arrived and as far as we know they came directly to the conference room and did not have breakfast at the hotel. They did not bring food into the conference room from the hotel breakfast. We were surprised to learn that the hotel had charged us for Food and Beverage charges on our invoice in the amount of $132.50 No one told us that this would be done. We assumed it was an error and called the hotel. They told us that our clients had eaten breakfast at the hotel. This was a shock to us since no one at the hotel said anything to us while we were there nor did we see any of our clients eating the hotel's breakfast. They gave us no proof that our client had done so. We have held many seminars in Hampton Inns and this is the first time this has happened. read more

After coming across a policy issue while trying to check in, the guy & manager at the front desk told us they couldn't do anything and we couldn't stay there. Four hours from home with an already paid for reservation here, this was ridiculous. After arguing back and forth, calling the 800 number, and having numerous family members contact the manager on duty, they finally let us stay. This is the only Hampton I've ever had a problem with, and I will continue to stay at Hampton inns, but never this one again. Incredibly uncaring staff at the desk. I stayed three nights at this hotel. Both my son and I have a horrific hot tub rash. The rash has been diagnosed as "hot tub rash" or hot tub folliculitis by both urgent care and my family physician. My son is on antibiotics and missed several days of school. The water in the hot tub was contaminated. The hotel manager did not respond to me in writing despite my verbal and written requests.
