I arrived earlier than usual and was immediately greeted by a super pleasant and helpful front desk attendant. She quickly ran through all the amenities and offered me a Gold member welcome gift--mostly snacks and sweets. I might go back for the waters later, but it was a thoughtful gesture and more than some Hiltons offer. The snack area was well-stocked with a mix of healthy and indulgent options. Check-in was fast and smooth. The third-floor hallway carpet is something else--very retro, like stepping into the 1960s. Not bad, not great, just... there. My room was overall clean, though I noticed some corners in the bathroom with buildup where cleaning tools clearly miss. The bathroom itself is bright and may have recently gotten new wallpaper, though in the sleeping area the wallpaper corners were peeling and could use a quick touch-up with paste. There's a combo tub and shower, but the grout around the tub is missing and the baseboard--made of brick or stone--is pushed out and cracking. Towels are basic: small washcloths, undersized hand towels, and standard bath towels. A nightlight is built into the outlet, which is always a plus. The barn-style sliding door covers either the bathroom or the closet, depending on its position. Inside the closet were a blanket, iron, ironing board, hangers, and a luggage rack--points for that. The room has two queen beds, a flat desk with a drawer, a raised TV area with drawers, microwave, coffee maker (the kind you take out and plug in), ice bucket, and a mini fridge that works well. A few scuffs and wear are visible on the cabinet, but nothing major. Lighting is adequate: a lamp on the desk, one between the beds, and an overhead near the door. Plugs are everywhere--USB and AC on the TV stand, between the beds, and by the desk lamp. Very convenient. Breakfast the next morning was in a clean, well-maintained space. The hot food options included grits, those small omelet-style eggs (today's were Western-style with bell peppers), and a waffle station still offering pumpkin spice batter in May. There were pastries, fruits, including bananas, and bacon that wasn't really edible in my opinion. Still, there was plenty to choose from. I briefly interacted with the breakfast attendant, who was pleasant. Later that night, I returned around 8:45 p.m. and noticed no one at the front desk. I went to my room, then came back down for a couple waters--still no staff present. I waited for a bit, then left. As a Gold member, I hadn't taken waters at check-in, so it felt fair. Still, the lack of presence at the front desk for over an hour was a little unsettling. Coffee service is where this hotel shines. They offer complimentary coffee stations in the lobby--how all hotels should do it. None of that \$6 coffee nonsense. They also include an in-room Hamilton Beach coffee maker with individually wrapped disposable filter trays. I can't overstate how much I appreciate that sanitary feature. No gross Keurig here, thankfully. The coffee station was always available when I passed through--huge win. One oddity: there's a Honeywell thermostat on the wall, but it doesn't light up or respond. The real controls are on the unit below the window. Not sure if it's a leftover from a previous setup or something else, but it doesn't function. At checkout, the staff member was extremely pleasant. First impressions were Great, the hotel/front lobby was clean and cool. Breakfast area was also good as well as the concession area behind the counter for drinks. The hallways to the rooms were humid. Elevator works good and clean, shook a bit but that was fine. The room, clean, offered toiletries if you forgot any. The tub is very slippery so be careful about that. The room smelled off, was a bit strong, a bit mold, other guests about allergies with the smell, it was also humid. Pet Friendly! Cockroach in the room, also found cockroach leg in other bed. Breakfast was yummy. There is a pool that goes about 5 ft deep, no life guard on duty though. Expensive stay for mediocre hotel. Spent three nights recently and felt the room was small for price $165/day before taxes. Shower was slippery and dangerous. Thankful for hand bar but still very slippery. Edge of tub was curved so too slippery to rest foot. TV screen had two black lines visible in picture. Breakfast ok but none too healthy. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Room cleaning was good too. Did not use pool. Only stayed here because they allow pets. Hotel needs to up its game since there are 4other hotels at this exit. read more

So, I stopped here in extremis, and was delighted that I did. It appears newly or recently refurbished and had nice, practical furniture. The nice touch was they had two USB charging ports and two power outlets on each side of the bed and tv. Standard cable and movie channels and descent WiFi. Breakfast was standard fare and good, prices were reasonable and the staff was attentive and pleasant. The entire place was really clean, kudos there. There isn't much around there, but there are a few fast food places, so you won't starve. read more

This location is ok I guess. Nothing special about it, but nothing too bad happened. I mean, what do you say to be positive when everything was mostly ok, just nothing exceptional. We didn't have any trouble checking out late and a day early, so that's a plus. For me, the front desk lady was super slow. She was super nice and she did apologize for being slow and told us it was only her 2nd week, so that did make it a little better, but you would think there would be someone close by for support. One other negative, but who can really control these things? The waffle makers both went on the fritz with the first waffles in the morning... mine, lol, and they just wouldn't cook it through. I talked to the attendant, told her I tried three times and she apologized profusely and plugged in the spare to get it working. She even brought me one when she got it working, which was nice, but I had already had enough of the other offerings. Just came in from the hospital at 2 am and asked Drake for a bottle of water...... WATER! He told me that he would have to charge my room. I told him that I was not offered it at check-in and he said, "Unfortunately, I can't confirm that!" A bottle of water. The coffee was taken down and the only thing left was hot water. I let him know that the water and snacks are part of the hospitality with my honors membership. He said that he couldn't do anything about me not getting it earlier. "I am sorry!" Really? Where is Hilton Honors or does Drake, the Water Monger control a simple courtesy like water?? A bottle of water for a $600+ bill? Really? Management has really changed and service is lacking in the last two years. read more

The experience that I've had is substantially beneath a 0 star. I'm a Registered Nurse who comes here for work. This morning as I was laying in bed resting before work, 2 men burst through my door. There was no knock, no announcement, no anything. I was not dressed and panicked asking who is it and what do they want. They then turned around and walked out. I called the front desk to report the incident to LEARN that this is the owner and a contractor. OMG!! This is the behavior and customer service that the owner provides? She had the owner call me. I asked did he do anyone else's room like that? No! I asked him did he check the occupancy report to see if someone was in there. Not answered. His apology had no sincerity and offered nothing to rectify the situation. I spoke with Hilton who opened a case in case I needed to escalate legal action. My safety was breached and no one except Caroline at the front desk seemed sincere. Up until now, there was no explanation of what they were entering my room for. read more

WARNING!! Fraudulent smoking charge applied. My husband and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Everything was great until I received an emailed bill with a "smoking charge" fee of $150. Funny thing is my husband and I do not smoke. Upon speaking with the hotel manager directly and Hilton guest services they still refused to remove the charge. I think I should reiterate that my husband and I dont smoke. I'm not sure if this is just a way for the hotel to make more money or if one of their employees came in our room and smoked or what. But I would encourage anyone traveling to Camden to check out other hotels in the area and leave this one off the list. I am still in the process of somehow trying to get this fraudulent charge removed. read more
