Just stayed at this hotel for one night a few weekends ago. I usually like to stay in an Airbnb or Vbro, but I was only staying over for one night, and they usually require a two-night stay. There are not many hotel options in the Burlington area, but I selected this Hampton because it seemed to have the best reviews. The desk clerk was friendly, and I was greeted warmly. Although I was told that I had been "upgraded," but the room was exactly what I had reserved. It was nothing special, but fine. Regarding cleanliness, it seemed to be okay on the surface, but I dropped something under the bed and found some remnants of cereal that had not been picked up by a vacuum. Not the end of the world, but it was there. Although I see that several people have commented that the breakfast was good, I found it to be loaded with a lot of unappetizing, artificially-flavored junk. The powdered eggs did not look appealing. I made a waffle, but threw it out after one bite. I ended up with a banana and oatmeal. I am probably in the minority here, but I think it would be better to have fewer breakfast options, but of higher quality. My biggest complaint was that with fees and taxes, the room for one night cost over $300! For a little town like Burlington, and for the quality of the hotel, I think that room rate is outrageous. If you have to stay in Burlington, and need a hotel, this is indeed your best option. However, if you don't mind traveling a few miles, I would stay at a less-expensive hotel closer to the expressway. read more

Stayed one night (Saturday-Sunday) in December. Location is good, as it's within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants and Gastro pubs. It's right next to the train tracks and based on previous reviews of it being a noisy location, I never heard a train during the night, and I'm a light sleeper. I did have an odd numbered room. A train did go by during the day when I was enjoying the hot tub, but there were no horns and it wasn't loud. It was a comfortable nights sleep with soft sheets and pillows. Bathroom amenities were good quality. The furniture in the room and the breakfast area show a lot of wear and tear. In my room, the carpeting was fringed and worn where it met the tile from the bathroom. My room did not have a mini fridge or microwave which I've found standard in other branded hotels at the same price point. The hot breakfast was decent and typical of other hotel brands I've stayed in. I gave it three stars, because I expected more from it being a Hilton brand. Stayed here for 4 days. Room was clean but super small. Frig was located on the floor. I find that unsanitary. I paid for 2 queen beds and was given a single small queen. Could barely fit the small dog kennels along the wall. Front lady was short tempered and rude. Breakfast was good and plenty of choices. Internet was slow and would randomly drop signal. Plenty of short walks for the dogs around downtown Burlington. We had to find another hotel that offered better room accommodations. read more

Recently spent 4 days here with our 2 senior dogs. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! All of the staff we encountered were so nice and welcoming. The daily breakfast bar was well stocked and fresh. Our room was clean and well equipped for us and our dogs. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows provided. We loved that we could keep their water bowl in the walk in shower to prevent slobbery, wet floors. Our room was on the first floor, near the exit closest to the pet area making for convenient and easy potty breaks. The pet area was well cared for and always stocked with clean up bags. The location was within walking distance to great food (Fred's), Custard (Adrian's), coffee (Burlington Coffee Co) and shopping (Chic and Unique Boutique). We were a little apprehensive being so close to train tracks, however, the train doesn't blow its horn when passing by so we hardly noticed them. Easy early friendly check-in. Decent enough room, looks like it's gone through a frugal renovation not too long ago. No refrigerator. No microwave. Small but comfy beds. Small TV. Easy enough to connect up the Xbox but even running it on CAT 6 internet was up and down. Never tried Wi-Fi. Plenty of water pressure and I like how the elevator always dropped to the bottom floor and kept the door open. Nice. Location, location, location, though!!! Trains are a nuisance and run day and night and night and day and because of that, I didn't sleep well at all. read more

Room was not very clean. Peanuts on the floor (and they weren't mine) and mold in shower. Chair at the desk is more rickety than one from a garage sale. Furniture is banged up. Mold/dirt? on the fridge. Thermostat in room wouldn't go below 67 degrees so those of us that are menopausal women suffering from hot flashes can't get any relief. My husband would be thrilled. We traveled to Wisconsin for a business meeting and this hotel was the closest to the location. We went to LDV to design and build a new Snap-on Tools Truck - they gave us a discount on the room for being affiliated with Snap-on . The check in process was smooth along with the amenities. Free breakfast served from 6am-10am. Exercise room, office and indoor pool at this location. Train track is right next to hotel so trains frequently pass making it very cool to watch. Small town offers a quaint experience and shopping is within 20 miles if you want target or tjmaxx. Staff and personnel were professional. Cleaning and sanitizing was done frequently. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay. read more

Recently stayed here for my StepBrothers Wedding, very modern and clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great breakfast in the morning as well, something for everyone. This hotel is also very handicapped/wheelchair friendly. My Mother had no issues getting around. I would stay here again if I was in town. read more

I generally like Hampton Inns, but this one was on the lower end for me. Here's why: 1. Breakfast fruit was most certainly not fresh and one morning we even got the impression it had been out in the past. 2. Rooms were on the smaller side, and there were no microwaves or refrigerators. 3. Air conditioning control was wacky - we kept it as low as it could for most of our trip but constantly felt either super cold or quite warm. 4. Initial check in was rough. Customer service was rude; although the other clerks / managers thereafter were better. 5. "Special wedding rate" we got on our group reservation was roughly $20 higher per night than the standard fare here. 6. There is a train literally running next to the hotel you could probably reach it from a window. Didn't bother me, but I know it bothered others. On the plus side, at least the beds were comfortable, the cleaning service was attentive, the bathrooms were comparatively large and modern, and there is plenty of parking (though if it's busy expect to have to park in the lower level f the garage across the street). The wifi is also strong enough and fast enough for me to bump this up from a 2 star review to a 3 star one. read more

Had a block of rooms reserved for our wedding in early September. The hotel did not notify us that our block had been filled nor did they expand the block once this happened. These were both things they had told us they would do. We had to call and reserve rooms at other hotels/motels. When we asked, they did not reserve a room for the bride and groom. After some discussion we were able to get a room, albeit the smallest hotel room I've ever been in. The staff that we spoke to were unhelpful at best and argumentative and rude at worst. For the prices our guests were paying, I don't recommend this to anyone. I know there aren't a lot of places to stay in Burlington but just try something that isn't the Hampton Inn. read more

Staying here for a wedding, and "special group rate" was $169. This seemed pretty high to me but I had high hopes. Arrived and rooms are small with no mini-fridge and microwave. When I called the front desk about it they gave me an "oh well" response. Apparently some rooms get them and some don't and we all still pay the same price. Staff didn't seem to care or want to accommodate me switching to a different room that had one. Will never stay here again. read more

Smallest room ever!!! I think they only have 1 queen bed rooms in this hotel. Fairly new hotel. Basic everything..We got to our room and noticed ear plugs on the night stand...huh??? Then we got real worried...wondered how the night would be. It ended up being very pleasant. Breakfast was nice. read more

A very crappy hotel, I will never stay here again! We booked it on the internet but when we arrived, there was only 1 queen bed! How are 3 people supposed to sleep in 1 queen bed. When we booked it, they told us we could have a sofa! So 1 person had to sleep on the floor. The guy at the front desk was very accommodating, he offered to give us more blankets and pillows. The management did not seem to care! During the night a train went by every few minutes, we could not sleep at all during the night! Do not stay here, the worst experience ever! read more

We made a pre-paid reservation online and when we went to check in we were told that the hotel was full and they did not have a room for us. We were told that the reservation was made through a third party booking agent, that they had the reservation but there was not a date on the reservation. This was after I called them twice that same day to confirm that we would be arriving late and they assured me that I could check in late. Our credit card was already charged for the full night. I am now trying to get a refund and getting the run around. The staff at the front desk are very rude. read more

Awesome hotel! Great staff! Nice clean room and hotel grounds. Good breakfast in the AM. Guest laundry and free laundry soap. They have Duvets!!!!!! Also, you could only slightly hear the train that goes by. Whomever complained about this hotel is just a complainer. We loved it so much we booked another night! read more
