stayed here a couple times it was all good. December in Michigan it's 10 degrees out walked in excited to be warm. went into the room it's 30 in there no heat working. The manager said cost savings measure. Ridiculous she said it will warm up 15 minutes no so turned the heat on 86 a hour and a half later still cold wife went down went to get a new room. Not good. Lastly if you're going to save money do the research so you know how long it takes a room to heat. What the real cost of reheating o room. I'm having 18 procedures this year I don't need the frustration. read more

Very nice hotel in a good location. We stayed here one night. The room was very spacious. Bathroom was nice. No issues with parking.

Bed bugs! We were in town for a wedding and would have left the hotel but because of so many weddings, there were no vacancies at another hotel. They put us in another room and said they would give us a lower rate but when we checked out there was no credit. The front desk knew nothing about the bed bugs but said they have had problems in the past with them. We also booked for 2 days which they only showed one day and after showing them my confirmation, they still argued that. We are done staying at Hamptons. Tomorrow I have to call the manager and try to get credit or my money back. Wish me luck read more

I'd give this place a much higher review, but they had a very rude woman working in the breakfast area this morning. She watched me making my breakfast and commented about my choices to add chocolate chips and whipped cream to it. About 10 minutes later my wife went up to make a plate for her sister who was still in our room, and the woman made comments about why she was getting a second plate of food. Neither of those things were that woman's business, and she had no right talking down to either of us about those things. The room was generally clean, well stocked and the desk staff was nice when we checked in. Terrible pillows though. Some of the worst I've ever had in a hotel. read more

We were visiting family in Michigan and we were going to originally stay at the homewood and suites but that was booked, and we dare not to go back to the holiday inn so we decided to stay at Hampton inn. We got an accessible room. We were supposed to get 2 queens beds but they were not available. So we got a King bed, a rollaway and a sofa bed. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices. The only thing holding it from a 5 star is because our room never got cleaned. We had to get towels from the lobby. Would come back to this hotel next year if we have the chance. P.S. the pool was wonderful. read more

Hampton Inn Brighton - Our room that never got cleaned - Hotels Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

This is a fairly new hotel with less than a year of operation Rooms are very comfortable and the area is very quiet as the hotel is away from the main road. The heater in the room is also very quiet which is very much appreciated during cold nights. They also have an indoor pool Jacuzzi read more

woke up with rash and bumps on me, blood on the sheets. After that i checked the folds of the mattress and guess what i found

[3.25 Stars] The predictability of Hampton Inn properties always makes them among the motels I give preference to when booking a motel stay. This Hampton Inn is new and located deep inside a campus of multiple motels. Unfortunately, the folks responsible for providing a list of suggested motels for this business trip seriously underestimated the distance to their offices. I certainly can't fault Hampton Inn Brighton for this miscue, but I will be canceling next month's reservation here, in favor of a closer venue. Here are the pro's and con's of the Hampton Inn Brighton, as I see them: Pro's: Brand new and clean; Although not outgoing, the front desk staff were friendly and polite. The exception to this was Becky, whose warmth and helpfulness were exceptional; Two fast elevators in a three-story minimized waiting time; Tap-to-open room keys eliminated fumbling with the key, and is always cool; Plenty of parking; Reasonably priced for the area; While I love dogs, I've been in far too many motel rooms where dog hair and the occasional flea came with the room. This motel doesn't accept dogs; Freshly-baked cookies served free every afternoon are always a homey touch in Hampton Inn properties; Quality large-screen televisions with up-to-date channel selections; New and very comfortable mattresses; Effective room temperature controls. Con's: Undoubtedly the worst pillows I've ever encountered on a bed. Grossly overstuffed, they are a chiropractor's nightmare and extremely uncomfortable; Only adequate hot water temperature and water pressure on the second floor. A colleague staying on the third floor categorized both as "poor;" Breakfast choices are fewer than most Hampton Inns, although the free breakfast is appreciated; Common areas are a bit lacking in aesthetic touches, and contribute to a sterile environment. In summary, I'll continue to seek Hampton Inns when I travel for business. The Brighton property is comfortable and (pillows aside) perfectly adequate. read more

Stayed here due to work and this was a nice place. I would say that the front desk staff wasn't the friendliest. The accommodations were nice and comfortable. The room and hotel were in good condition. Overall this was a nice place, but the staff just didn't seem to interested in helping you out.... read more

Nice stay. Room clean and staff friendly. Breakfast attendant was super nice. Location was very close to shopping and a lot of restaurants which made it convenient for travelers. As of this stay, May 24th. The establishment allows fully vaccinated to not wear a mask. Unfortunately, though the sign is clearly posted on the front door, all of the signs requiring a mask are posted inside. I recommend management remove and/or update sign. The conflicting signs may cause conflicts among guests. read more

Pros - nice facility, rooms, bathroom, common area coffee was fantastic Cons - when we arrived at 3am, we were told there were no cribs (which would have been awesome to know when I made the reservation specifying to have with crib in the room), and absolutely no help from the staff. Literally was told twice "we don't have them." In no way was there an ounce of caring that I had an infant who had no where to sleep when the do not disturb sign was on the door, the housekeepers knocked 3 different time to come in, which is super helpful with a sleeping baby with no crib found children's clothes in the curtains lastly, the indifference of the staff was palpable. There was no courtesy, everyone was so flippant and not genuine. I in no way expect anything more than politeness, but there wasn't even that. No one seemed to care or want to help that my child had no where to sleep, or that she was awoken multiple times during naps. No one even wanted to help in any way. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place, if you are looking for a room block for weddings please find a non Hilton facility. read more

Received call from the manager. Discussed the issue and it was resolved satisfactorily. It was a mistake probably due to a new housekeeper learning the system. read more

The room was clean and had 2 queen sized beds with a microwave and fridge. I was very pleased with the room except for the rock hard bed and pillows with no support. I recovered no sleep and will not come to this location again. read more

Wow! This place is outstanding for a chain hotel. I just stayed at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids over the weekend and this room rivals that one. Clean and modern furnishings. They made sure I got adjoining rooms with my son. Pool was clean and warm. They even had warm cookies when we checked in. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning. read more

Marcelo is kind, courteous and 100% of the reason we will always stay at the Hampton Inn!!!! :) he helped us get a good rate on a beautiful room even though we came at a late hour. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. read more

I'm only giving this place 1 star because it's brand new so the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The customer service they provided was absolutely awful. We reserved a block for a wedding, we had a total of 15 rooms. A few days before our reservation, I called the 'manager' Rosa and left a message, no return phone call so I ended up calling the day before and asked if we could get a little early check in on a couple of the rooms so the parents of the bride and groom could get to the wedding. I was told, "Sure, not a problem by the front desk." My parents showed up at 2:15pm (45 min before check in) and were told they couldn't get in until 3pm, possibly later. I received a call during the reception of my sister's wedding from the hotel saying they didn't have my card on file when I gave it a month before when I made the reservation with Rosa, the 'manager'. I also later found out that most of the people who booked with our block, showed up after 3pm and their rooms were not ready. To make things even worse when we got back to the hotel after the wedding, there was a guy who had made a reservation a few days prior waiting in the lobby, who didn't have a room. They allowed him to book and when he showed up they gave him a room badge and when he went into his room, there were people sleeping in it! Talk about invasion of privacy! So, this poor guy went back down to the front desk but they had nothing available for him. I ended up giving up my room and sharing a room with my sister. It was a mess all around. Jacob who was there the night of was apologetic and sincere, the guy who was there on Sunday, Greg, when I was trying to find a resolution with my card and everything, could care less. This is not the first time this company has opened a new hotel! They should have their ducks in a row and at least be concerned with the customers they've effected when they screwed up. But they didn't. If you're needing to stay in Brighton, stay somewhere else, anywhere else. Don't bother spending money here. read more

We just stayed at Hampton Inn Brighton this past week for Showcase Nationals. We were very happy to find our hotel room was updated, clean, and the beds very comfortable. The staff was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. I'm sure we'll be back for another figure skating competition, and we will definitely book a room here again. Beyond impressed for a chain hotel! read more

I am Diamond member for Hilton and It was the worst experience of my life at Hampton in by Hilton at Brighton, MI. Room provided to me was dirty, carpet not vacuum ( snacks crumbs all over the room), hair on floor in restroom, tissue roll finished, not face tissue. I requested front desk to change the room, in the evening after returning from work when i asked front desk to change room, they asked me why. No communication between Day and night shift. Night shift representative changed my room which was again dirty. The whole corridor was dirty, snacks all over the carpet. He claimed that last room he provided is all clean but it was in same condition. I requested to vacuum the carpet but my request was never honored. I was promised that i will receive HH points for my inconvenience and that too never happened. Considering current situation of pandemic, i expect the rooms to be cleaned thoroughly. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. read more
