Visited family this holiday season and stayed at this "cess pool". Batavia was cold so my kids wanted to stay somewhere with a hot tub. Unfortunately, after a couple of evenings using the hot tub at this place, we flew back home to the west coast and both my kids ended up with a bad case of hot tub folliculitis. We called Hilton customer service to report and they did nothing because they said the manager told them the pool was closed during our visit. We called the hotel to confront what Hilton customer service said and asked to speak to the manager. We left our number with front desk, but the manager refused to call us back. I have pictures of my kids in the hot tub, and the outbreak of puss-filled rash all over their bodies along with doctor's visit notes. I'll refrain from posting the pictures for now to see if I will get a response read more

Hotel is generally run down- computers in business center? Out of order. Ice/vending on my floor? Out of order. Room darkening shade was jammed. Had to take it apart to unroll and cover window. Tub drain did not work (well). Tub surface was worn/dirty. It was too late and I was unpacked by the time I found these issues. There was no response to messages I left. read more

Run down and they don't care. Every drink vending machine is broken; they said they had a soccer tournament a week ago as if that fixes or explains it. There is no little market so you have to leave premises to get a drink (I saw a review from a year ago with the same problem); the laundry soap vending machine has a sign ("this machine doesn't work). Our bathroom had a piece of chewed gum on the floor when we checked in. Desk clerk said he'd "address it" which did not mean he would send housekeeping the next day to do a quick clean (which would have been the right answer) because they only clean rooms every other day. WATCH YOUR RECEIPT! Total bait and switch. Booked 3 weeks in advance with government rate; they changed the rate on us and called the day of check in to say they can't honor it because it's the weekend (untrue; we have stayed there on the weekend before with that rate). In fact it was a Buffalo Bills home game weekend and they just wanted a higher rate. I had booked on the Hilton app and am a Hilton Honors member but they would not honor the rate THEY agreed to. At check out the rate had been increased ANOTHER $100!! Bathroom was ick. Aside from the gum (which makes you wonder if it was cleaned at all) tile was missing, tub was gross. Big heavy shelf for towels was loose and fell off the wall in the middle of the night. Room was ok but piece of bed frame was on the floor and a little ottoman had a broken leg; for some reason the phone was shoved inside a drawer. Breakfast - don't bother. Floor coming off the elevator was sticky with something for 2 days. When we checked in they said the room may be cleaned and ready but we should go to it and check. WE should go check! This place is tired, worn and no one cares. read more

I'm a Hilton Diamond status client here and will re-evaluate my 100+ stays a year at Hilton properties because of this. Upon arrival at my room the shade was damaged and completely unraveled and laying on the windows AC unit. I fixed it but wondered why after servicing the room and preparing for your next guest that you would leave a shade damaged and in need of repair. Then I noticed the disgusting yellow residue like a dried glue along the whole exterior of the tub. There was a disgusting black mold on the ceiling in the shower area from a leak from the upstairs. The area was patched but not finished properly and the mold just hung on the ceiling. I was left with literally one use of toilet paper on the roll and no spare. I had to get one from the front desk to finish my business. I went to breakfast and waited 15-20 minutes to get milk put out for cereal. I never saw such pathetic service in all my 150 nights out of town in a year and I stayed at a lot lesser quality hotels. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn across the parking lot or the Fairfield Inn about 200 yards down the road. I'll never stay there again. read more

Reading through the reviews and there's another review that matches my sentiments, 3-stars also. No it's not a bad property. It's not new but my room was clean ... guess what? You can have a brand new hotel, and it can still be filthy. This was not! Donna and her team did a great job making my room clean. It's not brand new, and I believe there are probably some room's that need repairs. Mine did not. It was a busy weekend with the Eclipse and you really have to take those things into consideration when traveling. So it's true, there is no little store at this Hampton Inn. But I decided I didn't need a chocolate bar anyway. Don't know about the food or coffee as I did not try them. read more

This place is filthy - don't walk barefoot on the carpet or the bottom of your feet or socks will be black. The room smelled. The tub drain had a rust ring around it. And, it was hugely overpriced! Hilton Corporate if this location is a franchise it's a black eye on your entire organization. read more

When I got there at 11 pm I asked for a room they gave me one but would not take cash which I found to be a problem from the hotel went to my room and the door was opened went in and checked out the room and it looked ok but the bathroom was used hair in the sink towels thrown on the floor went to the front desk and they did give me clean towels but she didn't have the hospitality no extra toilet paper a shelf fell off the wall pretty bad breakfast was lame people were complaining and at check out they gave me 16. dollars off a 176. price so I can't give them a good rating pretty bad for a Hampton Inn read more

Room smelled like smoke even though it was no smoking. Put us in another room key card didn't work went to desk tried again didn't work. Went back to desk clerk who seemed to not know his job. He never arrived us to room probably why key card didn't work. We went across the parking lot to a Holiday Inn express and had a wonderful stay! read more

The Hampton Inn was clean and quiet. The parking was plentiful and breakfast, yummy. Downloading an app by Hilton allowed me to use my phone as a key, never having to step in line to check in or out. read more

Currently staying in this hotel. Not 1 single vending machine on any floor works. Hot tub was out of order for 2 days of my stay. Asked reception to use microwave in lobby/ breakfast area to warm up my daughters food. Was told no. I stay at a lot of Hilton hotels. This is the worst I've been to. All for $212 a night. Stay at the Staybridge nearby instead. read more

Stayed there for the weekend to attend son's college graduation. An exciting occasion with a horrible hotel stay. The front desk staff was friendly and kind, especially Larenza. However, the assigned room had faulty plumbing. Despite coming to fix the toilet twice, we pretty much did not have a functional toilet our entire stay. The manager never followed up, nor were we able to go to another room! We literally were going downstairs to use the public bathroom because the toilet was broken! read more

This is not a bad property. I have stayed at previously when in the area. The room was clean and I had a spotless. It was a bit dated and needed minor repairs due to use. The location is right off the thruway and close to a mall with a Wallmart Target and Supermarket. It is disappointing there was no microwave in room to heat up items. This would have been helpful considering the covid restrictions on dining in NYS. I found the staff to be helpful and really friendly. If in the area I am sure I will stay at again. read more

I haven't really ever commented on hotels on Yelp, but this was the filthiest place I have ever stayed. As somebody who travels quite a bit and stays in dozens of hotel rooms throughout the state, I can honestly say that I haven't quite experienced anything quite like this before. My first room was unclean, so I requested a better room. The second room was also pretty nasty. I asked for the General Manager to contact me. He never did. I completed the online survey and said the same thing. The manager still never contacted me. Looks like Hampton's "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" leaves much to be desired. At the very least, a free night or additional rewards points should have been offered. Nothing. No response from the hotel. I will certainly never stay here again. I sincerely doubt anyone from my office (who also travel the state extensively) will either. It's a crying shame that good customer service is so hard to come by these days! read more

Wow! Over priced with an empty parking lot. No drinks, soda machines were empty. No coffee or tea??? Had to drive 5 minutes to THortons. Place is pretty old. Room Still has the old style light bulbs. If someone gave them more than 2 stars, they probably don't stay in many hotels. Better to just close this one. There are other hotels at the exit if you really need to stop for the night, go to one of those. From a Hilton honors member that has stayed in Hamptons all over the country, this one is at the bottom. Real Shame read more

SO gross I had to take pictures and make another review. The carpet trim around the doorways has been pulled back which I recognize is to treat for bedbugs. The disgusting dirt trail going into every room cobwebs everywhere water damage the bed look like somebody already was in it and they've just me remade it the sheets were stained with body oil. You can see where people have laid in them and stained them and they just reuse the sheets. read more

Please don't stay here! I stayed there a week ago on a Friday when the entire hotel was sold out due to college move-in's, summer travel, concerts, etc. When I arrived in town early, I called the Hotel to see if in fact there were any rooms available to check in early. I was told that the hotel was totally booked and they still had to turn over the rooms from the night before. As someone who used to work for the Hilton corporation, I totally understand that. However, when I arrived to check into my room, there was no Lysol tag on the outside of the door which is part of the Covid cleaning standard for the Hilton corporation. Once inside, I found the room to smell like body odor. That was a really disgusting smell and then I noticed that carpet was damp and had crumbs on the carpet. To me, that said only one thing... Housekeeping was in too much of a hurry to get the room turned over that they didn't do proper vacuuming or sweeping of the hairs off the bathroom floor. In all my years of staying in hotels, this was the first time I was afraid to put anything down on the floor. I never said anything to the hotel until I was driving home from a funeral because I was in a rush. I left my name and number for the management to call me and still after three days, no phone call. My concerns are in no way to suggest that I'm coming up with "the list" to get a free room, but I certainly feel that paying $196 for that room was not acceptable. What's more upsetting is that no one has had the respect to call me back. The manager needs to understand that he/she has a job because of people like me that needed a room. Horrible experience. We had to switch rooms as the first room had a huge crack in the television, no soap and mold in the bathtub. The 2nd room proved no better with no soap and the ceiling was insulated so poorly it was as if a herd of elephants lived upstairs. The facility is in major need of renovations and we decided to leave after 2 hours of trying to relax and look past these issues. $250 wasted and we are still waiting for a call from the GM to see if we can get some sort of refund or credit. The Holiday Inn across the street looked new and inviting , so stay there! read more

I'm giving 4 stars not because there was anything wrong, but because it's not a luxury resort hotel. We were looking for an overnight as we crossed NY State on the Thruway, and the location was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and up to Hampton Inn's high standards. Maintenance was also excellent though I saw a small defect in the bathroom ceiling drywall. I don't know if it was the season, the location, or the many surrounding competitors, but I got the lowest rate I had ever seen for a Hampton Inn. The parking lot didn't seem very full so maybe they were trying to fill rooms? Anyway, we had a great stay and I highly recommend this location. read more

Checked in around 8pm. Alex at the front desk was fantastic! He was so polite, chipper, and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. Plenty of table space built into the wall to put things down on. Good water pressure and temperature. Comfortable beds and clean sheets. Good breakfast with cereal, eggs, pastries, bagels, waffles, and fruit. They also have fresh pressed juice and fresh made smoothies. An excellent stay! read more

Front desk staff was so friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and well stocked, we all slept very comfortably after a very long drive! The hotel was full (people were still coming to the desk looking for a room as we were checking in) but calm and quiet. Checked out in the morning and the front desk was again efficient, chatty and friendly. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area. read more

Do NOT waste your money on this property!!! Overpriced, the toilet overflowed and they had no Maintenance to fix it so they put me in another room that had not been cleaned or sanitized. They have no management on staff at the property to address issues or remedy situations that arise. I spent my entire stay calling and requesting to speak with management at the front desk only to be told no one was available. When I complained I was discriminated against, making fun of my disability, and the fact I needed a service dog. This hotel should not be considered a Hilton brand as they are dirty, rude, and mismanaged. read more

The Hampton Inn was one of the best hotels i've been in. I previously stayed in a Hampton Inn in West Virginia. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. One of them even made me a waffle because the first iron was broken. Our room was very clean. The wifi can be somewhat slow but with everything else it was a great stay. read more

The night desk clerk Kevin is management material. A man who acted so professional and kind, I felt lucky to have made this stop. Usually hotel desk clerks are robots citing word-for-word things you could read in a brochure. Kevin was personable and showed himself to make good business sense. I came in at 4am after traveling for 16 hours and he was very helpful in getting me settled and making a note for the day staff so I could have a late checkout (1:00 pm). I travel internationally for work and run in to a lot of people, and some just stand out from the crowd. Kevin was this person. I felt myself hoping his skills were recognized by higher ups. Came to town from vacationing in Canada on our way to NJ and stayed here on 8/14/15 to visit the Darien Lake Theme Park. I loved the relax atmosphere. The room was standard two beds, air conditioning super strong, nice pool and hot tub. The room was clean for the exception of the tub fixture that was a bit coded with caulk. The receptionist was very friendly and inviting. This hotel include breakfast and free wifi. Would highly recommend. read more

The lady monitoring breakfast was able to provide food to accommodate our allergies even though it wasn't on the menu. She was very friendly. The room had a comfy chair and foot rest that we were able to use as a bed when my kids decided not to sleep together. We will be returning! read more

The cleanliness of the hotel was fine but that is not why I am writing this review. I am affiliated with a soccer team and know that many soccer clubs will stay at this hotel. I am warning you to make sure you get everything in writing when making any special reservations. I am the team manager for a soccer team. Back in August I reserved about 10 rooms for the parents on my team. The plan was to transfer those rooms into their names. That went smoothly. While making the reservation, the advance purchase option was about $10 per night cheaper. I was speaking with Kate on the phone about this who seemed knowledgeable and was actually friendly at the time. She assured me and another parent we could choose that advance purchase option and if our situation changed, we would be able to cancel it since we were reserving so many rooms. A few weeks later the soccer schedule came out and it turns out we only needed one night. When going to cancel the rooms the system would not allow me. I called Kate back who claims she never told me that. I was stuck, it was my word against hers. She then told me to call Hilton customer care. There I spoke with a representative who was very helpful. She understood my situation and got me in touch with Denise Hapeman, the GM for this hotel. Denise, at first, was very helpful. She even sent me an email explaining we were owed a credit. We basically would receive the credit after we checked out, which was fine. They said typically this would take 7-10 business days. Once we checked out, Kate once again, said there was nothing they could do locally. We had to contact Hilton to get this resolved. I would then email Denise and not receive a response. I then contacted Hilton who said the hotel had to issue the credit. They would put me on hold, call Denise, and then transfer me in with Denise. That was the only way Denise would take the call from me. Denise then said she would take care of it. Of course, she never did. Eventually, I called Hilton Customer service again and Denise wouldn't even take their calls. After weeks of going back and forth, I finally found someone who would help. They issued a check in the mail. The moral of the story is make sure you get something in writing when speaking with Denise or Kate because they do not know the process, and refuse to return your call once things go south. We will be staying at other hotels there in our next visits as well as the rest of our soccer club. read more

Newly remodeled with a friendly staff, the pleasure of my stay ended with those two positive qualities. The construction of the building lends itself to maximum noise transmission. I heard every booming footstep of my upstairs neighbor and every flush of every toilet in the rooms surrounding my own. To make matters worse, the wireless Internet did not work. I default to Hampton Inn when traveling on business, but had this been my first Hampton experience it probably would have been my last. read more

Well the pool was closed for repairs well before we made our reservations and were not told about the pool being closed! Stayed here on an over-night business trip and, as usual, this is another Hampton Inn that will meet or exceed your expectations on cleanliness, professional and friendly staff and ease of doing business. Easy in/out to the hotel, right off the Thru-Way. The hotel is located in a business/commercial park along with a few other hotels and a short drive into the town of Batavia. I prefer to stay "in town" when travelling, but that's just a personal choice Inside and out, the common areas were clean and inviting. The room, spotless, bed and pillows comfortable. This room had flat screen TV with plenty of channel options, small refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom amenities sufficient, towels large enough for the larger person and soft. Water pressure excellent. The fitness room open 24/7, but the pool was only open certain hours. The fitness room has 2 treadmills (1 was out of order) and a stationary bike machine along with dumb-bell weights. The only issue I encountered was there was no bench or seat available in the fitness room to use with the weights. I will stay here again next time I'm in the area. read more
