WE have been staying at this hotel for holidays over the years, close to ten years on business and leisure. The rooms are clean and functional. Staff is friendly and helpful. The shower head is mounted high and a challenge for my 5'4" wife. On the most recent stay, one of the refillable shampoo bottles fell off the wall. The Food & Beverage budget seems to have suffered a major cut and the quality/quantity of snack and breakfast items show it. The second day into a four night stay, the toaster was inoperative. (I was able to make toast by using the waffle iron). The location is convenient to I75 and surface roads leading to a major mall (Wiregrass Mall) and to an Outlet center just West of I75. Lots of dining options close by this property. The area is fairly quiet and sufficiently removed from any highway traffic noise. read more

I hate that I am so fussy about hotels- but I am. My pet peeve is cleaning- especially making sure no hair is left in the bathroom from previous guests. The bathroom got me- a large piece of hair was lodged in the handle of the sink faucet, long black hair on the bathroom floor- which I may not have noticed if I didn't drop something and short hair stuck to the mirror frame just above the sink. There was also a funk/cigarette smell as we went from hallway to room. I didn't smell it inside the room- thank goodness, because I have allergies. The room temp was set at 75 degrees and was humid as we entered. We kicked on the ac and that feeling dissipated quickly. We were only there for one night. Breakfast is included- they had a decent spread. I liked that they had a orange infused water dispenser in the lobby, bowl of fresh oranges and coffee all available when we checked in around 9:30pm. Nice perk. The bed was medium firm, pillows smooshy- the way I like them. Outlets and usb ports at each nightstand, the room was comfortable. Step up on the cleaning- attention to detail. We need a solid hotel for stays when we visit- I will have to give them another try. read more

I was very happy with our stay here. We attended the Lightening Bolts game downtown and didn't want to drive home afterwards. Staying here was much cheaper than staying downtown Tampa. We were unable to check in early (2:00 pm) due to a housekeeping staff shortage; however, there was a restroom in the lobby to freshen up and change. The front desk staff were very nice and tried to accommodate us as much as possible. They guaranteed us our room would be ready when we got back from the game. When we got back from the game our room was ready. I was so happy with the way the room was laid out. The way the bed was turned made the room much larger. The bathroom was huge. While we didn't need much storage space for one night, there were drawers and cubby holes galore! The bathroom was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is above average! The only small negative is the rooms do not have safes. Many of us carry our weapon and there is no place to lock it up. Those traveling with small children can put it up high on a closet shelf, but Hilton may want to consider getting safes installed in all rooms. The hotel manager tried to help us by using the safe at the front desk, but our handgun was too big for their safe. Great job everyone! read more

I SHALL RETURN! We really enjoyed this property! We showed up 2 hours early and the front desk politely asked if we wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes whilst they cleaned a room for us. 5-6 minutes later we were in a spotless room. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Despite the ice rink nearby there were not bunches of unruly children running about. The staff (ALL of them) were friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. read more

We spent three nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa-Wesley Chapel recently. We were greeted with fresh oranges and bananas in a serving bowl and fruit infused ice water refreshments in the reception area. Having arrived earlier than scheduled, Hotel Services Andrea helped us get into a room right away, and then shared that the young family members we were visiting in the area were welcome to visit us at the hotel! She texted me to inquire about how we were finding the accommodations during our stay as well. What a personable gesture! Our double queen, 3rd floor room was a bit darker, less windowed than usual, but it was quiet (even as an adjoined space) and conducive to good sleep. Breakfast in the morning was great. The preparer was diligent, organized and kept the space reasonably clean and clutter-free considering the weekenders there. She never let any items get low, and kept the coffee pots serving hot, fresh brew. The shower temperature and water pressure was great. All appliances and outlets we used worked. We enjoyed our stay, and will return when in the area. read more

We've stayed here several times since they were built (it's relatively new) while visiting family and friends in the area. The rooms are large -- king size bed; mini fridge; coffee maker; desk. Lots of outlets to plug in phones etc. The bathrooms are clean with all the little amenities you could need. They only have a small open "closet" to hang clothes, but that had presented a problem. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. Happy to supply water and anything else needed. Checkin and checkout was seamless. The free (included) breakfast is the usual Hampton inn offerings. We like the mini waffle maker and hard boiled eggs as a backup in case we aren't liking their egg offering of the day. But there are ample choices no matter your diet. Plus all day access to tea and coffee. They also provided USA Today newspapers and lots of tourist touting publications. It's convenient to where we need to be -- for leisure travel as well as business -- so I'm sure we will back again in the near figure. read more

Still new, breakfast was ok had to ask for some stuff because it was empty. I can see if your not there for sporting events you are going to have problems with parking there. I can't comment on kids running around or being loud because there was no sporting events going on that weekend I was there. I've been staying at a different hotel, I won't mention any names, the Hyatt for nearly a month. I had to move to this hotel for one night and regret not being here for a month. The rooms are nicer. The shower is stronger. The staff is so much friendlier, Keith, who runs the breakfast has the best attitude and friendly a smile I would come back just to have breakfast here. WARNING!!!!!!! This stay is one for the books. When I entered the room I went into the bathroom only to discover that when I pulled on the toilet paper the metal popped off and rolled under the sink. I looked down to see dirt and grime around the tub on the floor. Later I go to grab a hand towel in the bathroom drawer and find a black dirty sock. Next I go to grab a tissue and pull the last tissue out. This was when I went down to the front desk. The manager on duty calls the housekeeping manager. I show her the pictures and she apologizes and offers to have someone come up and clean. I decline because I had traveled 5 hours from Davie FL and just spent four hours with my grandchildren shopping for school clothes. We were exhausted. I decided I wanted a beer so I go downstairs and purchased three Orange Shock Top beers only to open. the first one to discover it was skunked. I go back downstairs and inform the manager on duty. He drinks after I had and agrees that it is. He says he just talked to the employees about this.He says he forgot to charge me anyway so I could grab anything I wanted. I said no thanks. When we go down to leave for breakfast low and behold the beers are still in the refrigerator. We go to get in the car and my daughter sees a man in a SUV next to us tying up a big baggie of marjiuwana, and lights up a blunt. I go in and tell the manager. When we come back we go to get a soda out of the vending machine only to discover it is out of order. Tonight a different male manager was on duty and once again I tell him about the bad beer only for him to tell me it's not the hotels problem it's the distributors. My family will not stay in this hotel again. For the price we paid for this stay this was just ridiculous. Shame on you!!!! read more

I'm a local who needed a place to stay because Hurricane Ian knocked out the power and water early this week. Thanks Ian! I made a same day reservation until Monday to give myself and my girlfriend a break after the stress of the last few days ( My parents had been staying with us since their condo in Sarasota was in Evacuation Area A). It was a great choice. I could tell the lobby staff was short staffed and tired but both of who I interacted with were great. Jenita checked us in and sent a quick text once we got up to our rooms. Was a nice touch. The next morning I texted to find when breakfast was and Keisha let me know what time the breakfast hours were (6am-10am). Speaking of breakfast the kielbasa was great and I believe they use real eggs! That may not be a big deal to some but my word was it a welcome addition. Another huge plus is they are dog friendly and last night the housekeeper played with my a dog for a quick second while he did his nightly rounds of cleaning and it even had a dog area with a poop pick up station. The location is very safe and I was able to take the dog on a long walk before going around without fear. I'm very happy I chose to stay here and there is lots of dining and an outlet mall less than 5 minute drive with lots of decent food. For $159 a night for suite, I could not be happier. The room was clean and quite. Though we had neighbor next to us that had dogs we didn't hear a peep the whole time. It was great. Keep up the great work staff members! read more

I just got home from a 5 day, 4 night stay at this hotel for work. I have never been to this location before, but have found the staff and amenities at Hampton Inns to be about average. This hotel is recently renovated, which is nice, and the workout room and breakfast area were above average. I have 5 stars to this review however for one of the front desk employees, Daisy. The second night of my stay, I dropped an earring in the bathroom and it landed behind the sink fixture. I tried to no avail to get it out, so I went downstairs to ask if maintenance could come and see if they could retrieve it. Daisy called for backup and went up to my room with me, prepared for anything. She got a broom and different size paintbrushes to try and help in pushing the earring from the tight spot, and laid down on the floor with me with a light shining to see if we could find it. (All of this is happening at 10:30 pm, mind you). Together we still couldn't get it out, so she left a note for maintenance and showed them herself the following day where the earring was, all while I was in Tampa Bay at a conference for work. Maintenance had to remove a piece of wood off of the sink fixture, but they got my earring!! Big kudos to the amazing maintenance staff, and Daisy specifically for going WAY above and beyond to assist me. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Tampa!! Hooray Daisy! read more

Stayed here while my husband had surgery at Tampa general. Wednesday and Thursday were okay, Friday night we had a fire alarm that went off for about 20 minutes and the employees didn't know why. Saturday afternoon I tried to take a nap and woke to a man parked under our window beating on his truck. He beat it with a hammer for over an hour and a half. Finally stopped after I reported it to the front desk. Also had to move our vehicle several times as they were black topping the parking lot. We never saw a notice for the first paving and were called down Sunday morning to move our vehicle. Not an enjoyable stay at all. We have had good experiences at the Hampton inn Baymeadows in Jacksonville FL. But I won't stay at this hotel again. read more

Spent four nights there and most was good except one night there was a major party in the room next to ours. Started calling security at 1:00 AM. Three calls later and 4:00 AM they finally settled down. When we talked to the manager he said the police should have been called. He apologized and told us he would comp the room for that night. After a week I contacted him and was told that since our room was pre-paid he would have to send us a certificate for a free room. That was fine. A month later no certificate. Man speaks with fork tongue. We will continue to stay at Hampton's but not that one. If that situation ever occurs we will call the police ourselves. Hotel rooms are too expensive not to be able to get some sleep. read more

I read the other reviews and wholeheartedly agree that the rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The housekeeping staff are doing an outstanding job! I would give them more stars... The front desk leaves a lot to be desired. We stayed for two nights, both nights the night manager was oddly dismissive. The first night, he was watching TV in the lounge area with his feet up. Didn't say hello. Second night, we got a bit of a nod. My final reason for the 2 stars? The breakfast was lame. Not enough options and the hot food was OUT of the meat selection at 9:15 on Saturday (it was not refilled) and completely out of hot food at 9:35 on Sunday also not refilled. No variety on either day for someone staying over a holiday. Love that you have coffee available all day, but direct some of that hospitality at the food selections. read more

Had a good experience here, staff was very nice, fairly new Hampton Inn so it's updated. I got a free upgrade since my room was "fumigated" when i got there. Room was comfortable over all but it seems like the one window unit AC couldn't really handle the size of the room... That being said, I had plenty of room, everything was very clean, and the wet bar was great to have for my short stay. read more

I really liked this hotel. The staff are pleasant and the grounds are kept up nicely. Our room was very nice and comfortable w/ a nice view of the fountain. They offer a brakfast in the morning w/ several good options. My husband says that he wishes that they would just offer eggs sometimes...just plain eggs w/o the add ins. But, they have cereal, oatmeal, fruit, toast, bagels, muffins, real waffles (not the conveyor belt pancakes), coffee, tea, cocoa and juices. There is a nice excercise room w/ treadmill, elliptical, weights, kettle balls, yoga ball, weighted balls. There is also an outside pool. read more

As motels go this one is very nice for the rate. Clean, comfortable and well-managed. You get what you pay for so the breakfast buffet is just OK. The pool is too small to swim laps (disappointing). The lobby area is spacious and comportable. If you are looking for a moderately priced place to sleep that is clean and comforable this will suit you just fine. read more

Where to start Hampton Inn is probably one of my favorite hotels. From the time I checked in the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast in the morning is always different and fresh. The housekeeper has kept the room amazing. Always having the freshest smelling towels. In the afternoons there's always fresh cookies. Or even fresh fruit to choose from. I will be sad checking out tomorrow. read more

The stairwells were nice almost pretty. The bathroom exhaust fan worked unlike in many hotels. There is a huge ice palace next door so there were many children at the hotel maybe you like that sort of thing. The room was okay, and the bed was great. When I asked the night desk clerk Jake (?) what kind of mattress it was because I want to buy one he said he didn't know. I said maybe you could ask maintenance tomorrow and let me know and he said, Well, you can call maintenance tomorrow. In other words he wasn't going to lift a finger to help a guest. It's called "Hospitality" Jake. It's one of those locations where there is no place to walk to - except the ice palace. I have stayed at Hamptons all over the country but I wouldn't stay at this one again. read more

Loved the hotel! I usually stay at a SPG chain but I was not disappointed. We were here for my niece's wedding. However, I felt like we were the guests of honor. We had a very brief misunderstanding but it was corrected within 10 minutes without any hassle. Our suite was nice and roomy, with ample room for a family of 4. Great experience. It has the typical high quality Hampton Inn features (comfy bed, pleasing free breakfast, good cleanliness, free WiFi) with a little extra - the rooms are bit more modern than most hotels and the fitness center is a little more outfitted than I am used to (good selection of free weights, etc). Staff is very, very friendly and enjoyed sitting with the outdoor adopter cats. Close to several restaurants and conveniently located. Will be back! read more

We lived in WC for some years but had to move. If we ever visit WC this is our hotel of choice. We love it here from the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the various amenities, and the lovely people that work there. This is a really nice hotel. It's not often that I have a reason to stay overnight around here but I was glad I stayed here when I did. The room we got was huge and nicely arranged. Very clean. The service was friendly and helpful. The pool looked inviting although I didn't get a chance to use it. I also skipped breakfast in the morning but I'm sure it was pretty standard Hampton Inn fare. For the price you can't beat this place. And it's convenient to I-75. I would definitely stay here again if the need were to arise. read more
