To say we have had a rough couple of months is an understatement. We lost my 23 year old daughter to a tractor trailer accident June 9th. We had to replace the car because she was using mine and we have donated hers. Bought a used Hyundai a few weeks and we headed to Florida to try to just find some peace. We get 3 miles from our destination and the car goes into a limp mode. We call and come up and talk to the most lovely woman, Tanisha. I had an episode where I just couldn't stop crying and she took her time to console and just care. Thank you for that. Then less than an few hours later got a call from Josh just letting us to where and when they are going to start. Answering all our questions. No work has been done yet but I already feel better just knowing you have employees that empathic and really took care of a pair of broken hearted people. My husband and I tried for 3 days to purchase a vehicle and on the 3rd day when we finally got to speak to someone after several phone calls and told we could purchase the car we wanted we were driving there ... which is 45 min away and they sold the car out from under us ! The absolute worst communication and customer service ... in the end we purchased our car from the genesis dealer in Pensacola within an hour of this horrible treatment ! I have never had a good experience with the service department but this tops all of them. I purchased a new GV70 and had to have the windshield wipers replaced, head light ended up getting condensation, the trip around the doors started to change color. I scheduled an appointment to get the headlight fixed and trim replaced. When I booked the appointment I asked how long it would take and I was told 3 hours. Day of I get there at 7:30am and my service guy came out and told me that it is an all day job... mind you this was at 11:45am and waited 4 hours to tell me it's an all day job. I asked for a loaner and was told because I have a Genesis they have to loan me a Genesis and one wasn't available. I told them I didn't care what it was and he said he would check with his manager. Didn't hear anything until 12:30 him saying my car would be ready by 2:30pm. It was not!! It was done around d 3:30, leaving around 3:45-4pm. I was in that waiting room for 8. hours! I live in Panama City Beach so I couldn't call anyone to come get me and on top of that they didn't even replace the trim on one side. I wish I didn't have to deal with that service department at all but unfortunately I do. Had I known I would have never given up my Camry. Toyota is top notch!!! read more

Hampton hyundai is a Joke. They sold my daughter her first first car Watch out that your white car won't peel like ours did on our 2016 Hyundai Elantra. After 2 months of having it. The manager there said a rock started it. If you look at FB there are tons of sites that are about Paint Peeling off White Hyundai Elantra cars from America to every where. Hampton Hyundai knew about this and sold my Daughter Meaghan Kirwan this car and I cosigned for her and they say they do not Know me.. Also won't DO anything for her SO DO NOT BUY ANY CAR FROM Hampton Hyundai PERIOD! They use E- Paint on their cars. Check them out on fb before buying. You will see for yourself that a car from 2005 to 2019 that looks perfect and then all of q sudden starts peeling. There are 2020 paint job out there that are starting to peel. After our Hyundai Santa Fe Sport was recently totalled we began a search for a new vehicle. Our accident was a high speed t-bone and we were VERY impressed with the protection our vehicle provided us so we were inclined to stay with this model. We began our search for a late model low mileage Santa Fe Sport online with a number of popular sites over several days until we spotted one that looked like a good possibility. I navigated to the Hampton Hyundai website to get a better look at a very nice looking scarlett red Santa Fe Sport that has a fully loaded safety package with lane assist, blind spot monitors and much more. The price was good but it was 75 miles away so I gave them a call. I reached a representative named William (Will) Carr who was very polite and helpful. After answering a number of questions I asked him about a potential delivery. They don't have a delivery service so I thanked him and explained that I'd discuss everything with my wife and be in touch. I got a text from Will providing his cell number which turned out to be quite handy. We decided that we would make the trip but our insurance company hadn't settled with us just yet so I called Will and came up with a plan. I put a 1k deposit via credit card and began the paperwork to purchase our new car. The whole process was painless and since we had to return our rental vehicle in Pensacola in a few days the trip was only going to be 40 miles and we were set. I texted Will Saturday and asked him to get all the paperwork ready and the car detailed and ready to go. He responded right away and said he'd take care of us. When he arrived he greeted us out front with the car right there and paperwork in hand, great start. He asked if we'd like to go on a test drive and inspect the vehicle. I drove around with him and I was VERY impressed with his in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of my new car and he spent time making sure all the safety features were set correctly and answered ALL my questions. When we were done he brought us to the paperwork person, who was very professional and a super nice guy, to sign and seal the deal with no hiccups. We we emerged he had the temp tag on the car, handed us the keys and we were on on way, wow easy peasy. They facility is modern and well maintained, their website is comprehensive and easy to navigate and their people are friendly. Granted we did a lot on the phone and up front but all things considered it's the most pleasant car buying experience in my lifetime and I couldn't be happier. Bottom line: I was very happy with the courtesy and professionalism from Will and the staff I encountered at Hampton Hyundai because we knew exactly what, how and when we wanted, and he made it happen without a hitch. 5 stars and highly recommended! read more

I would not recommend doing business with this dealership! I not only bought at Santa Cruz late on A Sat My sister who brought me there bought one also. My car had been totaled. They would not let us be with each other TO SIGN paperwork! They quoted me a 7% rate charged me 9%, and my sister was told she needed every add on as far as warranty that cost her thousands of dollars. I asked for a car fax report he said oh let me run it and said nothing on the report I asked for copy which he did not provide .And good luck on ever getting it serviced there. Oh and they took out for my Al taxes then only sent 34.00 did the same thing to my sister. We both had to pay an additional 700.0 to get our tags. read more

I got there and my service representative barely looked at me and told me to go to the cashier window. I was given no instructions on caring for the new paint or why it took so long. I went out to look over the paint work, opened the hood and saw wires hanging down. Turned on the car and no lights. It took a while for the Manager to come out of the office. He came outside and hooked them up and said he would talk to the tech about the matter. What if I were driving on I-10 or the middle of nowhere? What if I got a ticket? What if I was involved In a crash? I took my 2022 Santa Cruz in for warranty paint work, 3 times. I should have known better when I was told it had to be a clear day to let the paint "cure." I took it in on a Wednesday, when I called in the afternoon, I was told they it was not done. I Had to get a loaner car. They gave me a car that had caution lights on the dash and sounded like the axels (CV Joints) were about to fall off. The wind shield was difficult to see through, especially in the rain and dark, I had to clean it for my own safety. Thursday, no follow up from staff. When I stopped in to check, i was told "Oh, I forgot to call you." Still not ready. And there is more, but you get my point. Look forward to speaking with the owner regarding this matter. read more

I dropped off my vehicle under a safety recall campaign for inspection in November 2023. All recall inspections and repairs are free to the consumer under federal NHTSA mandates. Instead, I got a nearly $17,000 estimate and no mention of the safety recall or warranty. I went in person multiple times and called numerous times for answers but got none. In nearly two months, I still never got a simple returned phone call, engine inspection in accordance with Hyundai technical guidance, or a loaner/rental car despite many requests. Hampton Hyundai willfully ignores published guidance that one can easily Google and makes false assertions, like the TXXI unlimited warranty expired, which is nonsense. In ignoring a safety recall issue, Hampton Hyundai shows that they care more about their profits than your safety. read more

I've been taking my car there for service for 9 years. This is about the customer service employees only, not the service Techs. My car has received good maintenance by the service techs, but I used to get great customer service, not any more! There must be something lacking with whomever is hiring their customer service in their service and maintanence department, because some of them are completely in the wrong line of work. No customer service skills, lack of competence in their job and just plain apathy to the needs of their customers. **March/April 2022** I bought my Tucson in 2019 and as apart of the contract, I had a sunroof added. After a month if waiting no one had contacted me to have it put in (I was told someone would reach out) so I had called and made a service appointment to have it installed. They said they had to take it to another location and get it done, that they don't do it on site and gave me a loaner car to use for about a week. Recently, it looks like the sunroof has come off the tracks or something and I went there to have it fixed because, ya know, they installed it. After waiting for 3 1/2hrs we are told by Crystal and the parts manager it's not their problem and that we are responsible for getting it fixed. They are saying it's because it's an aftermarket product and the work to install it was done by another company. They said we had to go to the company who did the work, when we called we found out that company is now out of business. We also found the service ticket/invoice from when i turned it in to have it installed where it actually says they (the dealership) were supposed to install it, and again, we were told it was our problem. We also contacted a few other companies to get estimates and explained the situation and even those companies said in our case the dealership SHOULD still have it covered under the vehicles warranty bc it was purchased through them. We called the dealership back to argue it further and spoke to the sales manager, he said he'd have to do some "research " and call back. He called back the next morning with no other explanation or information from the "research" he supposedly did and simply said again that it was our problem not theirs. Will no longer be doing any sort of business with this dealership and I highly do not recommend them after this one experience were there was a problem. **update 1/13/2023** My husband took my vehicle to a repair place to see if the sunroof could be fixed, and he was told that it's a bigger issue than it just being off the tracks. That it was a very cheap POS model that was put in and would need to be completely replaced. I'm wondering now if when we took it back to Hyundai of Hampton 9 months ago if they knew this when we had them take a look and they just didn't say anything and that's why they advised it was OUR problem and they wouldn't do it. Also, to this day, I have never been contacted about my negative review (even though I see they've responded to others on here..) I did get a random call from them before about if I wanted to trade in my car. I told them I did plan to trade it in at some point, but there was no way in HELL I'd go through them again - especially after that experience. She claimed she'd pass my experience on to a customer service person who'd contact me to discuss it. That was...3 + months ago? And nothing. I might be acting like a "Karen," but I don't really care at this point. Don't buy from them. Don't get your service done by them. It'll save you a headache and frustration. read more

I'm not to happy with their service maintenance department. I had took my car in because I had a clicking noise coming from my steering wheel so I took it in to have it look at. Then after a hour the mechanic called me and told me it was the steering coupler to which the guy couldn't even say that correctly (he kept on saying cobbler) that was going to be $2,200 to fix then he told me that my CV Axle needed to be replaced and that my transmission Pan had a " Major leak". To fix both of those was going to be about $800. Then he tried to tell me that my break light in my back window wasn't working and that they couldn't just change the lightbulb but that they had to replace the whole back dash which was going to be about $400 (FYI I know enough about cars that this was bullshit. You can get to the bulb from inside the trunk of the car) so all together about $3,400 to fix my car. So, I told them that I had to think about it. Well I took it to Webb's and had them look at my car and I told them to do a complete look over on it and after 20 minutes I was told that my steering coupler was bad and needed to be fix. They didnt see any leak in my transmission nor was my CV Axle was bad...as far as my light I just bought the bulb and fix it myself. So, the mechanic asked me why I thought that my transmission was leaking (seeing how they where the ones who had fix it almost a year ago after it was founded that the bolt where the seal was at wasn't tighten properly) why I needed to have my CV Axles fix/replace. I told him that it was what the hyundai mechanic had told me and I give him the paperwork with the list and pricing of what they said was wrong. He then told me that they seemed like they wanted a quick buck and that it was a $7 part for the new steering coupler. For them to fix my steering coupler was only $380 vs $2,200. Now mind you I haven't seen a leak from my car since I had it fix and I know enough about cars to know when someone is trying to take advantage of me cause they think that because I'm a woman I don't know anything about my car..so please if your car isn't under warranty do waste your time and money with the service maintenance people here. The dealership itself may be cool but to get your Hyundai fix here. read more

Use to get good service a few years ago . These new people have no idea what they're doing . Also if you're covered under warranty , they may tell you they did an oil change when they didn't . Happened to me twice ! Coolant wasn't refilled and they apparently don't give the complimentary vacuum anymore. Left my car there for almost a week since I had to go out of town , told them I was having issues getting driver door open . They left me a message saying they tried the door over a hundred times and it seems fine . I picked up the car after hours with my spare key and experienced the door issue right away so I brought it back 2 days later , they kept it overnight then called me once again to say they don't see an issue . I had to instruct them to LOCK the car with keys , then try reopening . You'd think certified mechanics having the car for so long would've tried that already and exhaust all possibilities !! And who just leaves their car unlocked anyways . It was very inconvenient , traveling back and forth through Destin traffic at 8 months pregnant especially when it had already taken months for me to get an appointment . read more

DO NOT service your vehicle at Hampton Hyundai unless you want 60+ miles added on with no explanation for it whatsoever other than "I promise you it wasn't us". Also my car was noticeably dirtier on the outside than how I had left it. On top of that deal with a very unprofessional service manager named Joel who says and I quote "I've got better things to do" and "I can show you the footage, I can waste my time again" .... Award winning service department my ass. Somebody drove my car 61 miles in the 24 hours that it was there. I drop it off at 822 and I pick it up the next day at 883. Between the significant difference in miles and the attitude I got from Joel and unnecessary comments when I was trying to be nothing but nice about it at first is unacceptable. read more

This dealership was trash. The employees working there were rude and would not let me drive a car without signing an application. What was this application in regards too you ask?? Turns out that you can only test drive the Palisade if you are going to buy the car that day. This is in stark contrast to other dealerships in the area. To add to this, the manager said that it was due to the fact that they didn't want anyone putting miles on a $50k vehicle. Would not recommend this place one bit, as I said, they are rude, hover, and are pushy. Had my 2017 Genesis G90 for the first required (free) service at Hampton Hyundai in Ft Walton Beach, FL. I purchased the car from a Panama City Genesis/Hyundai dealer, with a satisfactory delivery experience. Hurricane Michael prevented me from getting service in Panama City. To the best of my knowledge the oil change and other inspections were performed? (oil, for sure, I checked) I waited for about an hour in a very uncomfortable waiting room moving to the sales floor for a little peace and quiet for reading. Now, the real problem is that when I asked for a copy of service record I was told there is nothing for my records? After insisting for a copy I was told there is nothing. I am now getting notifications from Genesis that my vehicle requires this previously performed service. Called Genesis in California to set the record straight. Nice agent but I do not feel certain that any action was performed? The bottom line is that the Genesis is a great value and an excellent luxury automobile, however, service after sale is way below par. I will do no further business with Hampton Hyundai. read more

Hyundai gets a lot of attention for their warranty, but what they don't tell you is that they determine whether or not a warranty item is in bad enough shape to need fixing. I came in to have my speaker and brakes looked at. The speaker is starting to crackle and the breaks are squeaking. They responded by saying that the brakes should be fine and that the speaker couldn't be replaced unless it's completely non-functional. This is seriously making me question whether or not I can continue trusting Hyundai/Kia or if I should buy another brand when I get another vehicle this winter. read more

The finance manager attempted to bully me into pay more than I wanted ($2000 over NADA) When I refused to budge I was rewarded with a barrage of insults and yelling that didn't stop the entire time he was crossing the building after he walked away. They've always treated me OK, but I have questioned the service manager a number of times about the excessive oil change cost, and am told it is an oil change kit that includes an additive which boosts the oil change interval to 5,000 miles, but they always put 3,000 miles on the sticker. There's nothing about an additive in the service manual, so go somewhere else for routine, non-warranty, maintenance. read more

This place is incredible. I've been to a couple mechanics on this crazy road trip from Tx to Florida, and I really have nothing but golden things to say about this place. We had our alternator replaced in Mobile, Alabama with an after market part in desperation of completing this road trip. Our car died about 2 miles from this dealership about 30 minutes before they closed, even though they quickly diagnosed the issue we had to order the part. No problem, it was here in 30 minutes. That's not all. Then about 5 of their employees stayed after to finish the job. Bryan, Chris, Rick and Cameron stayed and made sure we'd finish out trip. Go here, they got you. read more
