Ballygowan is a difficult place for places that do food to survive. The best example of this was the wonderful Something Different that couldn't make the cut in the same unit that Pizza Girl was in, despite its wonderful range or world dishes that blew everything else in Ballygowan out of the water.
Unfortunately nothing about this place suggests to me that it has a distinctive edge of quality to make its appearance in Ballygowan nothing more than a brief thing.
The restaurant is open very funny times, sometimes for lunch only and some days for dinner only, so you never know where you stand. The food unfortunately is nothing special either. This place doesn't know whether to act like a proper restaurant and aim for a classy menu or do a simple, low price menu. My steak from here was undercooked and overpriced, with my girlfriend's Chicken Escalope slightly on the rubbery side.
