    Outright Negligence, Bait-and-Switch, and Zero Accountability…read more This is hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I rented a storage unit at Go Store It Self Storage (20 Garris Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403) and was assigned a 3rd-floor unit. When I arrived to move in, the elevator was completely broken. The on-site manager openly admitted they could not fix it, and multiple tenants confirmed the elevator had been out of service for days -- meaning the company knowingly rented upper-floor units that were effectively unusable. That's not an inconvenience -- it's deceptive and irresponsible. I contacted corporate customer service expecting a basic level of professionalism. Instead, I was met with indifference and refusal. There was a first-floor unit available, yet they refused to move me as a courtesy, despite the fact that THEIR facility was not functioning as advertised. Their solution? Charge me an additional $30 per month to access a usable unit. In other words, I was forced to pay extra for their failure. That is a textbook bait-and-switch. This company took my money while providing a non-functional facility, showed zero accountability, and pushed the cost of their neglect onto the customer. Renting a 3rd-floor unit without a working elevator is unacceptable and borderline fraudulent. If you're considering this location, be warned: equipment may not work, management won't help, and you'll be expected to pay more just to get what you already paid for. Avoid this place unless you enjoy frustration, wasted time, and being taken advantage of.

Since then, the storage company has changed ownership and they have changed names to SaveGreen Self Storage. I interact with them once a month because I am the one that makes their payments from Florida. After a little over a year of using their services, I must make it a point to acknowledge the exemplary customer service I am showered with every time I make a call to them. Today, Bryan assisted me with making my payment over the phone and he was fantastic. He cracked a couple of jokes and quickly got my payment processed. I highly recommend this location for any U-haul and self storage needs in the areas they service (umerous locations in NC and SC).

    WORST EVER. 3 years with perfect payment, then a glitch with the autopayment during the COVID…read morePandemic and State of Emergency and Michelle Otero has refused to remove the Late Fee and they went as far as applying a $100 Lien Fee for a toal over $450 due because of one missed payment. I even tried to pay online before 30 days anid the payment website was down. My wife tried to make the payment the very next day they were open and Michelle refused to take any payment other than the $450. Michelle even hung up on me and when I called back to discuss how to resolve this. There is no way to get a hold of any managers other than email, and they are now holding my personal items HOSTAGE. This is PRICE Gouging and I'm going to contact the state Attorney General and DOJ. As a side note, they started requiring an additional $10 insurance fee every month on top of their overpriced storage unit rates. I have 4 other units at 3 different facilities and this is by far the most expensive by nearly 14% per month. There are so many new facilities in town -- ** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE AT THIS RUN DOWN, OLD, AND CRIMINAL FACILITY** --
