This is a scammer. I…read morecalled them for an emergency service, the man who showed up made false, obscure and changing diagnoses of the problem, damaged my lock, tried to pressure me into paying 800 pounds + labor to secure my door, then ran away when I called the bluff. An honest locksmith I called later fixed my lock including the damage caused by the scammer for 200 pounds. In addition, this scammer caused 150 pounds worth of damages in my home. I called the company less than 24h later to give them a chance to right this wrong. Their exact response was that they will not do anything about it because: 1. I should have called earlier. 2. I'm just quoting a random number in damages. 3. I should have called them to send another person, implying it's my fault for not trusting them again after they sent a scammer to my home. In fact, I'm quite certain the man who answered my complaint on the phone is the same one who tried to scam me. This seems like one scammer masquerading as a company that dispatches multiple traders. Spare yourself from scams and property damage and find another honest locksmith instead.

The costs were very fair and they were happy to go over the points in more detail to a lay person like me. The other over riding factor is the team have a proper shop in N London. I have had to deal with the 24 hr calls outs and they have been nothing short of opportunists which I had to then challenge for rip off costs after a proper locksmith called out from a local shop near my own home rectified and highlighted as such. When we decided to get another lock added to our front door, I began doing some research on the…read moreMLA (Master Locksmiths Association) website, so we could be assured that we'd be getting someone qualified to do the job. I found several vetted companies that were nearby, so I set out to deciding what kind of lock I'd like. We decided that we wanted something that automatically locks when we leave and close the door. I did some research and was looking at a particular Yale lock, and called the companies on my list to get prices for the lock and installation. North London Locksmiths was 5th on my contact list, I believe. The gentleman that answered the phone was happy to assist (they certainly all weren't thrilled to speak to me, that's for sure - A few acting like I was putting them out by contacting them to consider them for the job). He asked why I was interested in the Yale lock, and that they have a lock by ERA that is virtually the same, but much less expensive and much better quality, by his estimation. He advised that I look up that lock and to feel free to contact them back. I did some research, and decided that was the way to go. The savings of the money, plus the fact that he brought it up in the first place gave me a lot of trust in his business, so we set-up the appointment for the following-day. The installation took about an hour, and he did have to cut a bit out of our door frame to fit it in, but he did a nice job with filling the hole. Unless you look really closely, you can't even tell. All-in-all, we were very happy, and we really like the new lock.

He said I would need to pay him £200 for the job as he had to drill the handle .it took 5 minutes and he had no interest in the fact that I was upset having been locked in for 4 hours in very hot temperatures and also being quite unwell at the time.
