Have to agree with the other reviews as Winestore is a wine store that seems to carry mostly…read moreQUALITY wines. Owner, Matt, conducted a wine tasting for our Cellar Dwellers Club in Sun City Carolina Lakes, SC. I had seen his shop in a local shopping center, but had never been there. We buy most of our wine at Trader Joe's, Aldi, Lidl and Whole Wines. Does sound like we really drink a lot of wine the way I wrote that sentence. Matt's selection started with a wonderful white wine that got surprise praise from my wife and I, along with four of the others at our table of 8 people. Amazing, as most of us do not like, favor, or necessarily choose to drink white wine, or do so because it is served. This white wine was worthy of a case buy. In I went to Winestore and, having forgotten the name of the wine (!), went to the counter describing Matt's presentation and Matt spoke up saying this particular white wine's name: Combeval Grand Cuvee from France. BINGO! At $12.99 it was a bit higher than our target price of $10 for wine, but this one was worth it. The shopper in front of me had bought a red wine, Jeff Runquist 1448, raved about it, receiving lots of nodding heads from Matt and his staff, so I bought two bottles of that red. Winestore is small, but nicely set up with lighted shelves and a pretty good selection of wines. Prices are a bit high, but I think you can count on getting unusual and quality wines. We will return. Check it out.

This is our local spirits store and there are I think 6 or more locations throughout the Carolinas…read more The owner shared a selection of Italian wines with our Sun City Cellar Dwellers club and I was impressed with his wine knowledge and his statement that they are among the least pricey sellers in the area. It is a small shop here, and their in-store inventory is limited by state law to the his building. The law states that any spirits sold must be from what is stored inside. They cannot use a warehouse and bring booze in when needed. That said, if you are looking for some wines that he does not have he can get them from another location, stock it inside and then sell it to you. The manager here is a good guy, a Knight of Columbus and is very knowledgeable on wines. Have had some good discussions with him. Their prices are good and there is, in spite of the storage laws, as good selection to choose from. Very convenient to Sun City.

Every time I walk in, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and ready to help without being pushy. The beer selection is fantastic including local craft brews, "the basics", and harder‑to‑find options. I appreciate the labels with descriptions of the beers which make trying new ones less of a gamble. I'm not much of a wine, cigar, or THC beverage consumer, but they have a seemingly plentiful selection of those products as well if you are. If you're in the Steele Creek area and appreciate great service paired with an impressive beer lineup, this location is absolutely worth the visit.

Would leave ZERO. . Absolutely unacceptable experience. I…read morecame into this Total Wine with my homeboy, who is 20. I am over 21, had valid identification, and I was the person making the purchase. We walked into the store and were not stopped or asked for identification. When I went to make my purchase, an employee suddenly asked, "Where's his ID?" I explained that he was not purchasing anything and that I was the customer. She told me it was "policy" that he needed an ID. Fine. I told my friend to go sit in the car while I completed my purchase. He was no longer in the store and I was standing there by myself with my valid ID. I went back inside, and the manager then told me that they would not sell to me because I had already attempted to make a purchase while my friend was in the store. So even though he was now sitting in the car and I was the only person attempting to purchase anything, they still refused to serve me. That makes absolutely no sense to me. If a 20-year-old is legally allowed to be inside the store when accompanied by an adult with valid ID, then why was I refused service after he had already left the store? If the policy is different, then explain the actual policy clearly instead of being rude and dismissive. What made the situation even more concerning was the inconsistency. The couple behind me was only asked to provide ONE ID when they came up to make their purchase. Meanwhile, I was questioned about my boyfriend's ID even though he wasn't purchasing anything, and then I was ultimately refused service after complying with what the employee asked me to do. The manager and employee were extremely rude and dismissive toward me. I left feeling singled out and humiliated over something that could have been handled professionally. As a Black woman, I also cannot ignore the fact that the treatment I received made me feel that I was being treated differently because of my race. I'm not going to tell anyone else what their experience was, but I know how this interaction made me feel, and it raised a serious concern about racial discrimination for me. I want corporate management to review this incident, including how the policy was applied to me compared with the customers immediately behind me. Customers deserve consistent treatment, clear explanations, and basic respect. I will not be returning to this location.
