AVOID. Terrible company to work for. Dubious business practices, driver's are pressured to drive unsafe vehicles and are not always paid. Staff are unfriendly and lack empathy. If this is how they treat their staff who bring in the stock, I can only imagine what the customer service is like if you have a problem with a car purchased from them. And this is from a previously satisfied customer, having ought a used car from Hammond at the end of April it developed a wheel sensor fault after a day, the car was under a 3 month warranty but as it related to tyre pressure sensors and a missing sensor warning I persevered with it clearing the fault periodically only for it to keep returning. Still within warranty I call Hammond in Norwich and was told that I had to pay for a diagnostic check at the main dealer and they would do the work but not pay for the check. Net result? I would be out of pocketto the tune of £156 for a vehicle that THEY sold me which was faulty. I called back hoping that as a previously loyal customer they would understand that they had sold me a faulty vehicle and that I shouldn't be out of pocket because of it. Not a chance, at one point Iin the conversation with 'Connor' it was insinuated that it was my fault for not mentioning it earlier, which when I clarified I was told that once I had driven it off the forecourt I would be liable for the cost. Disgraceful way to treat your customers and I am sad to see that your once excellent customer service has sunk so low. They used to offer an AA inspection rior to salewhich seems to have stopped and the vehicle certainly had not been valeted properly. Clearly profit margins are more Important than customers for Hammond now. Steer well clear! read more

DO NOT USE HAMMOND CARS! This company has sold a car with a clean mot and when retested out of our own money it came back that there was issues on it that were flagged on the previous mot before Hammond cars mot'd it, it clearly shows they use dodgy garages to pass cars with clear mots so they can sell them for more. This is dangerous and you should avoid them! There is issues with the brakes and suspension on the car we bought with a clear mot. read more
