Update: Love my therapist. Its easy to reach her if needed. Her sessions have really changed my days for the better. Im very grateful. My psychiatrist is ok. Its hard to reach her when needed. & thats kind of scary since i get refills every month. A truly horrible place, they are scam artists. First, they demand a referral from my therapist, unusual but ok sure. When I get it to them and set up a psychiatry visit they say that psychiatrists are only for patients also seeing one of their therapists. I said I already have a therapist and they said they didn't care. It's medical extortion, no other way to describe it. I asked why the referral then, by now they've probably wasted hundreds of hours of therapists' time mine included and I just get some vague legalese. I think the referrals are just to hide their scam, they can say "See! We tried to work with them..." when they actually don't. read more

*5 stars for the quality of fully licensed therapists, flexibility in scheduling, and close skyway access or $2 validated parking ticket (bring cash to purchase this directly from the reception staff. 3 stars for the administrative side of things.* I've had bi-weekly therapy for about 4 months which has been hugely beneficial. I feel that the Hamm Clinic is a true gift to the community. Low or no income? They have a sliding scale payment system with extremely reasonable rates. I get the sense that they truly want to make therapy accessible to the community, which I stand behind 100%. In my experience community mental health clinics tend to be staffed with therapist interns getting their hours, which I typically don't mind. I was pleasantly surprised that Hamm is staffed primarily with fully licensed therapists with lots of great professional experience. From the signs in the lobby I see that they offer all kinds of groups and services to meet the diverse needs of the community. I've always been treated kindly and professionally from the staff when I check in. My only qualm is the administrative side of things. Getting my initial appointment involved more back-and-forth than usual, including their system indicating that they called me when my name came up on the waitlist but I had no record of receiving a call from them. Once I called to follow up though, they quickly rectified and got me in ASAP. I love my therapist. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and I am so grateful for the Hamm Clinic. read more

Could never successfully get a live person. Left a message to set up an appointment for psychiatry referral. They never called back! Never experienced a clinic that made it so hard to see someone. This clinic has gone completely downhill in recent years. I was a long time patient many years ago and the clinic was extremely helpful and professional. Employed wonderful therapist at that time. read more
