My experience with Hamlet was far from 5 stars. Right off the bat he started insulting me and arguing w me when I showed him a pic of my ideal haircut. The pic was recent and of me :( He kind of seemed like he's stuck in his ways and didn't even give me what I asked for. The front of my hair was incredibly uneven and shorter than the pic I showed him. He left the top of the head the longest for some reason. My sides were longer on one side. Easily one of the best barbers I've been to. I would 100% reccomend coming to Hamlet's. I have been coming here for about a year now and I always leave satisfied with the haircut I receive. He even goes over on how he is going to cut your hair before he even starts cuttting it so he lets you confirm if that is the way you want your hair cut. He also makes sure everyone feels welcome anytime anyone walks in and overall has a really nice demanor as he treats everyone as if they're family. 10/10 would recommend coming here to Hamlet's for a cut. I have been going to Hamlet's for a few months now but never got to writing a review. After going to a fair share of barbers during my awkward phase (still not convinced that it's over), I can definitively say that Hamlet's does a quality job and makes all feel very welcome. Upon entering the barbershop Hamlet was very welcoming and greeted me despite being with a customer. I saw a few people waiting and assumed that the wait wouldn't be too long. I was wrong. Hamlet is the only one cutting hair and he takes his time with everyone so be prepared to wait around 30 minutes per person waiting there. I used to get a high fade with hair longer on the top and I think the hallmark of a good barber is when they will tell me that my proposed plan will look ugly. I was told that a low fade would frame my head better and I have never looked back since. To add to my rave review, this place is CASH ONLY. The first time I went I didn't know about this so I didn't bring cash so I was prepared to go to an ATM but he just told me to pay him next time -- talk about a man who was confident he gained a loyal customer. Let me start by saying... The last person who cut my hair during the shut down: didn't cut it the way I wanted it cut, executed so badly that I had to shave my head!!! I would never rely on that person again to cut my hair! BTW... that person was me! I was so elated to know that Hamlet was open for business again. Prior to the lockdown, he was so popular that when you arrived the wait was about 3 to 5 people deep... and people were willing to wait! However, he has moved to an "appointment only" business model. This move however it came about is brilliant! Efficient for Hamlet and his customers. He knows exactly what he is doing and listens to his customers.
