I ordered the Buddha Bowl and my wife irdered the Chipotle Braised Chicken Tacos. Both were excellent. I went for the vegetarian meal and I was very surprised as to the variety flavors crammed into this bowl. Plenty of food for one. If you like spicy, sour, marinated - this is the dish for you. I loved every bite and every bite was a bit different from the previous. The tacos we're spicy and plentiful. "Very good" says my wife. And all this knowing we are supporting a local Non-Profit made it for a great experience for lunch. Knowing that the Enterprise is helping at-risk youth and very efficient in the use of environmentally friendly food use makes this place special. read more
Hamlet is a sweet cafe, open seven days, with breakfast and lunch menus on weekdays and an all day menu on weekends. It's tucked up the back of a collection of businesses at 40 Molle St, right near the rivulet track and a little park (speaking of parks, there are no cafe parking spaces at 40 Molle St but the street parking is unmetered nearby on Molle St itself). The menu items are great and the cafe is staffed with some high quality sorts from all over town, but the particularly wonderful thing about this cafe is its ethos and just what it does for the community. Hamlet is a not for profit organisation that takes on locals facing barriers to employment and helps get them experience and learning opportunities. The day we were in for breakfast, one of our waitresses had a very strong accent and another was in for her first day, so perhaps it's important to know what Hamlet's all about because I think it helps you temper your expectations of the wait staff. Wait, this sounds like I'm a jerk customer. I'm not. I swear. Oh my gosh. Please don't look at me like that. I'M NOT. GO TO HAMLET read more

With a fantastic ethos, great attitude and well-prepared and presented locally-sourced food, Hamlet is exactly what it sets out to be: wholesome and friendly, leaving the diner both satisfied that they've supported the right kind of business and satisfied that they've had the best breakfast (in my case) of their time in Hobart. read more
