Even though the place is elegant and sober, the restaurant is far from pretentious. It feels like walking into one of the best kept secrets in town. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the paella only and it was plenty. It'll keep you full. Paella & clericot is all you need when you go!

We were originally placed in an awkward standing spot (which we were totally ok with) since it was a first come, first serve situation, however shortly after being placed there, a small table next to us got up and the lady told us we could sit there! I found that to be really nice considering usually they just stick you where you are placed. Cocktails were pretty good here too and I liked the vibe a lot from this place. Being right next to the Parque Rio de Janeiro is a treat. Beautiful area and places to see.

Covered by a thicket of bamboo and other pleasant overgrown greenery, you'll find yourself transported to a small haven where you can read, meditate or commune with nature (and cats!). It felt almost like a fairytale land. I found it very cool to have a private park inside of an already amazing park. It's a pretty fantastic, and in my experience unprecedented, idea to have a secluded area in a park so that denizens can just relax to themselves. There's a small lending library, a shrine to our Lady of Guadalupe next to a cave and plenty of colorful benches for peeps to relax on. Subtle classical and world music adds to the atmosphere. So if you're feeling ennui or need to escape the chaos of everyday life, this could be the perfect antidote.

Despite there being a large amount of open tables, we were told we would need to sit at the bar due to table availability. I didn't mind sitting at the counter area as we were then able to see the chefs prepare the food and was a conversation topic then, but it was just a bit odd with so many open tables. We looked at the drink menu and then when ordering, were told that the first 3 items we named were not available. Finally, I ordered something they said they did have but was then brought an entirely different wine (I ordered sparkling and was brought chardonnay). The mistake was quickly corrected but at this point I was a bit frustrated. After getting our correct drinks, we ordered a few appetizers. The flavor in the food was good but everything was overly spicy (more so than it needed to be). I am not a fan of spice in general but can usually handle a bit but felt like my mouth was on fire. My boyfriend who loves spice did enjoy the food though. All in all, the ambiance was cute and the place could be nice to enjoy but for me, it was a miss.
