BEWARE. After having treatment and paying out of pocket and using care credit for the remaining balance even though I have Tricare, I realized that I could get a refund once my Insurance paid. I paid off Care Credit. I was told twice I could have a check sent to me for the full balance by the Clinic's staff. A month later, corporate office decides to finally issue a refund back to care credit (Per Gina Lovotti- out of corporate office) stating that they have a contract with Care Credit, not me. Had I not asked for a status on my insurance, I would have never known Hamilton Vascular was double-dipping on payment. They would have kept $2700, plus charge Tri-Care. If you are or have been treated by this Clinic, have you been scammed out if your funds? Check with them and your insurance for payment. Are they so upset I requested a refund? I meet Dr.Carlos Hamilton in September of 22 due to swelling in my right ankle he advised me that I had vein disease and poor circulation, and he told me I will need surgery on both legs he did the surgery on the left leg on 28th of October and he did the right leg on the 31st he told I could go back to my regular activities the next day, well that was 6months ago, and I am worse know than before the surgery, I have veins all over my legs, I am on a walker and cane, I kept telling him there is something wrong with my legs and feet, and know I have been diagnosed with neuropathy of my legs and feet, this man is a quack and I don't mean a duck, this man has ruined my life, his license should be taken from him ,I was a very active person until I met this quack, so if you are reading this and you are in his office get up don't walk run. read more

They take time to answer our questions, and treat us as partners in my husband's medical care. We don't have to stay in the waiting room very long after our arrival. They provide bottled water in the waiting room, along with a responsive and amiable receptionist. They are also patient with our s-l-o-w-e-r speed due to my husband's impaired mobility. So, apparently, they have undergone an ownership change over the summer which has caused them to have to reapply for ALL of their affiliations with insurance companies. No problem. Totally understandable. The problem I have is that none of this was revealed at the time I went in for consultation and subsequent ultrasound. In fact, I was told it would be approximately business days for insurance to approve and that it would be best that I didn't fly within 2 weeks of having the procedure. Now, a full 10 weeks later, I am STILL waiting for the insurance company to approve the prior authorization because Hamilton Vein Center only just got back on with my insurance provider 2 weeks ago and the travel hold I made arrangements for my work are completely worthless. Calling the office at the Sugar Land location proves to just enhance the frustrations as the individual there manning the phones is combative and argumentative. Zero patient/ customer service whatsoever. I'm seriously considering having my records forwarded to another provider and starting over to try to get this taken care of inside of this calendar year. My suggestion - if you are expecting a quick turn around - go somewhere else. As of today they are still in a holding pattern to get back online with several other insurance companies. read more

Horrible!!! Thank God he's not a plastic surgeon. After more than a year my legs look worse than before I went to see this horrible noncaring doctor. They still hurt and have long black lines running down them. I did go back and he said my body would absorb the blood trapped in the vein and charge 1,000.00 for the post surgery appointment. Hamilton Vein Center did my vein procedure in April 2018, I was very excited to have it done I like the staff, but the billing is misleading if your procedure is 100% covered they won't tell u and u will end up paying more out of pocket, and will have to wait 15 days for your refund, which I don't feel you should have to wait that long because u paid them when u came into their office, also I'm not 100% satisfied with the veins still visible, waiting for insurance approval to do another small procedure and hopefully I will see results with time read more

I am giving this place 3 stars because of their inconsistent customer service. The first time I went, everyone was super nice since that was the luring in stage. After that, they misinformed me several times about the procedure and recovery. The procedure itself has not fixed much, but frankly I am tired of going in for several follow ups. The main reason this place is getting 3 stars is because they called me FIVE times within 3 hours while I was at work to reschedule a follow up appt over a month away. I haven't been very happy with the results of my vein treatments. I had RFA of both legs done and it hasn't helped with the leg pain I was having. I have been back for extra leg ultrasounds (which I had to pay a co-pay for) and the receptionist is always rude and they never get me in on time. Those things wouldn't be so irritating if the procedure had done what they said it would do. Dr. Hamilton seems very nice, but he isn't the one that you deal with. The physician assistant places the catheter and he comes in for five minutes and activates it. I feel like this place is just out to get your money. I have been to this office 5 times now and I believe it had been a waste of my time and money. Maybe it will works for you-didn't help me. read more

I went to their Sugar Land office to relieve my nightly leg pain. I was advised by Dr. Hamilton to have a $3,000 procedure, and if the pain persisted, other less invasive procedures could be performed. Well, the pain persisted, but I've been told no other procedures could be done, so just wear the compression hose and walk 30 minutes a day. Why would I pay $3,000 only to do what I was doing before the procedure. I emailed Dr. Hamilton for an explanantion, but he never bothered to return my email. Of course, the email had to go through one of his office assistants because he does not give out his email address. He must get a lot of emails from angry patients. Every time I see his TV commercials, I feel like such a fool. I wish I had checked him out on YELP before giving him my $3,000 !!!!!!!!!!! read more

This place is a insurance scam clinic. First they charged me $200.00 for an evaluation which was free from my real doctor. Then they said I need all four main veins taken out. I went to a vascular surgeon and he said I only have one bad vein. If you take out all four then there is nothing left for later in life if you need one for heart surgery. This place wants to take them all so they can bill your insurance company for it. Go to a vascular surgeon you will be glad you did. I had the one vein melted away with a laser and now all of my problems are gone. read more

Very friendly but poor communication within organization... Multiple phone calls regarding appointments and changes... One call center doesn't seem to know what the other is doing. More critical, the people doing procedures aren't always on top of treatment plan changes; more than a little concerning! The procedures are more painful than led to believe, although tolerable. And the number of required visits was more than originally led to believe. Patient education is lacking in some areas... I may be wrong but I don't think one should be having dental or other procedures that involve similar local anesthetic ( like novacaine) but no one asked or warned about that) . The Drs & personnel are quite good I think technically. Some of their practices seem a little lax tho ...I was told a dr had to be in-house for a procedure being done by someone else but then he left anyway. read more

I had a vein procedure at the Hamilton Vein Center in Kingwood the first week in June, 2014. This procedure was for three days on my left leg. The third day of the procedure I notice something was wrong I wore the compression stockings ,but I was in consistent pain. I went back for a follow a week later and I was still in pain. They did an ultrasound on the left leg and indicated there were no blood clots. They told me to continue wearing the compression stocking. The third week I call for another appointment because the pain would not go away, and the receptionist said they did not have any appointments available for that week. That weekend I went to an emergency clinic and the doctor there did an x-ray on the left side. I was paining from my goin area to my ankle and I could hardly elevate my left foot. The doctor at the emergency clinic wrote me a prescription for pain. The pain medication did not stop the pain. The fourth week in June I went to my doctor of Intern medicine and he prescribed medications for pain, and nerve. This did eliminate some pain, but I still could nor lift that left leg. I had to go to the emergency hospital twice because of the continuous pain in my left leg. The second time to the emergency hospital they perform extensive test and the final result was during the time of the vein procedure a nerve was stuck. I had been to several doctors before the last visit to the hospital before I found out what was causing the pain in the leg. One of the doctors was a vascular surgeon. I believe he knew but was reluctant to tell me. He prescribed some medicine that was so strong I thought my leg would have be amputated. The vascular doctor at the hospital informed me that I should have been informed of the possible risk of a nerve being struck during those procedures. Hamilton Vein Center never did inform me of no such thing. To sum up my experience with the Hamilton Vein Center I was in pain and agony from June of 2015 until January, 2016. I would give this center a very poor rating. No one should have go through the anguish that I endured. read more

I want to thank the doctor Eric Hardee and the nurses who helped him (Kingsland Blvd. location in Katy, TX). I had procedures 4 days in a row and I can't complain - very professional, good etiquette, helpful polite nurses. It was absolutely different today. I didn't get the same service and attention from the nurse that I had before. Moreover during the procedure she started talking to the doctor about her personal issues (how she spent her weekend etc.) The procedure is kind of painful, it requires the doctor's attention and it's not a right time for socializing. For sure I don't want this nurse when I come to this vein center again. And she should know what professional ethics is and how she is supposed to treat patients. It's not a big deal for me to put the compressing stockings on. Before the nurses offered their help. Today the nurse even didn't offer her help. I would like to ask the supervisor of this center to pay attention on these details since such poor service affects the Hamilton vein in general. P.S. I decided to wait a while before writing my review to make sure I was leaving an accurate review. I had severe vein disease, during each pregnancy they would get worse and it hurt for me to even stand up to make dinner. I decided after my last pregnancy I would get my legs fixed. I went to Hamilton Vein Center because I used to work with Dr Hamilton at a local hospital. I knew he was a good doctor, honest and was not one to do more than someone actually needed. I went and had my consult and ultrasound, as I thought my veins were in terrible shape and severely varicosed. I had RFA on all 4 veins in both legs, Phlebectomy and Foam Sclerotherapy. A few months later I came back and did the Sclerotherapy (not covered by insurance) on both legs as well. Over all the whole treatment took about 1 year to complete. It was a little longer than I had expected but they can not do all the procedures on the same day and sometimes you have to wait a few weeks between the procedures etc. I am very pleased with my results and glad I had this done. My insurance covered the RFA, Phlebectomy and Foam Sclerotherapy and all the ultrasound procedures. My mother also had the same procedures done on both of her legs and she is still very pleased with her results. read more

I was having severe leg cramps for over 2 years before my husband saw the ad for Hamilton Vein Center in the Chronicle. As he read the ad, he kept saying "these are exactly the symptoms you've been having!" I called the number to schedule an appointment for an evaluation at their Bellaire office. The rest is history! The doctors and assistants at Hamilton Vein are very professional and have excellent beside manners! Every question I asked was immediately answered. It has been over 2 months since my procedure and I'm happy to report that I (and my husband) am enjoying uninterrupted sleep! I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT USING THESE GUYS! My legs look worse now than they did before they got ahold of me and did the deep vein "burning". And they still hurt! My bill ended up close to $18,000.00 (scam). When I went in to talk to them on Wednesday, they said that the ONLY way to make them better is to do sclerotherapy. They'd told me in January that they'd honor the price of $350 as they'd gone up on pricing but already given me that price in December. Today I drive 25 minutes for my procedure (all geared up as it HURTS HORRIBLY to do this...and they said $450! After being on the phone for 30 minutes, going back & forth (saying yes, OK they finally saw it in my file, then saying no they wouldn't honor it EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN MY FILE because there was no date on it). End of all that - they don't care, the receptionist in Katy was borderline rude, emotionless & cold, uninterested & wouldn't honor what they had in my file and after holding again for 10 minutes I left. Fast forward to now.... My legs look horrible. Veins breaking out all over the place. They hurt to stand on them for any length of time. And I am looking now for another doctor to see if they can help make them look better & feel better. I would seriously consider going to another doctor instead of this guy. :( read more

I am so grateful to Dr. Hamilton and his fantastic team for getting rid of my vein disease. Bad veins run in my family and after 3 kids, my right leg really was feeling it --especially at the end of the day -- it would hurt and "jump around" while I tried to sleep. I can't thank the team at Hamilton Vein Center in Sugar Land enough for making my right leg feel so much better! I had two veins treated and the heavy, aching feeling I felt -- especially while pregnant with my 3 children -- is now completely gone. I was pretty hesitant to have the treatment, but the sweet RN, Twanna, held my hand, and kept talking to me and telling me to breathe deeply during both treatments. I think it's just the anticipation of what's going to happen that made me nervous, but in the end, the only thing I really felt was maybe a bit of pressure. Dr. Hamilton did ask me if I would want to have anything stronger to help ease my anxiety beforehand, but both Dr. H and the PA who oversaw my pre-treatment did a great job answering my questions and making me feel very comfortable with the entire process. I also had great service with the administrative staff who did all the legwork as far as checking with my insurance and letting me know what was covered and what isn't -- lucky for me, because my veins were in bad shape, I was completely covered. The whole staff couldn't have been nicer. I would definitely recommend Hamilton Vein Center. My leg no longer looks like it's been punched and feels 100% better thanks to them. read more
