Complete Violation of Informed Consent: If the surgeon did not feel capable or comfortable performing the agreed-upon nose removal once my cat was sedated, they had a strict medical and ethical obligation to call me from the operating room. By failing to contact me, they denied me my legal right to decline a substandard procedure, wake my cat up, and immediately transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who could perform the surgery correctly. 3. Total Lack of Post-Operative Communication: When I picked up my cat after major surgery, the clinic provided absolutely zero communication or discharge instructions. I had to discover via text message that they failed to complete the agreed-upon service. They then falsely claimed the cancer was only on one side, directly contradicting their own previous diagnosis and what was clearly visible. Because of their failure to remove the tumor as promised, the cancer returned with extreme aggression. I had to euthanize my cat because this clinic robbed him of his only opportunity to receive a proper, complete surgery from a qualified professional. I have the full text message logs, emails, and images confirming this timeline. A formal complaint regarding this professional negligence and failure to obtain informed consent is being filed directly with the State Veterinary Board. Do not trust them with your animal's life. Response to owner : There is a fundamental difference between a "medically complex" adjustment and a complete change in surgical scope without owner consent. The explicit, documented purpose of Tom Tom's consultation was a complete nose removal. I was explicitly told by your staff that a partial removal or "minimal scrape" would not be effective given the aggressive nature of his cancer. Yet, while he was sedated, Dr. Eileen made the unilateral decision to pivot to a minimal scrape, leaving active cancerous bulbs behind, without ever calling me to get my informed consent. By failing to call me from the operating room, you denied me my legal right as a client to decline a sub-standard procedure. Had I been contacted, I would have immediately instructed the clinic to wake him up so I could transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who was capable of performing the agreed-upon surgery. Furthermore, your clinic attempted to retain 100% of the funds for a complete nose removal until I forced accountability through a series of extensive emails. Your own text message records confirm that the surgeon only focused on one side of the nose, directly contradicting the agreed-upon treatment plan. This is a clear issue of professional negligence and a failure to obtain informed consent, not a misunderstanding of "expectations." I will not be having further private discussions with management to help cover up this clinic's lack of informed consent. The time for discussion was when Tom Tom was on the operating table. All further correspondence from me will be handled directly through the formal complaint I am filing with the State Veterinary Board.

Dr. Bruno saw them both for their whole lives. We credit them with helping Zoe & Mia live such long healthy lives, especially for giant breed dogs. Our English Mastiff Zoe died of old age, but our French Mastiff Mia needed to go on different terms. Sending her off was maybe the most difficult experience of our lives, but Dr. Sharma was an angel in disguise in relieving the aches and pains that old age brought for Mia. Dr. Sharma was simply the best in a very, very, very sad time. Staff like Julie and Alex have been absolutely terrific over the years, in giving shots, nail trims, documentation, etc... they have been consistently friendly, professional and empathetic over the years. All the staff there has been great; never a disappointment in over a decade of visits. We now have two mixed breed rescues: Kenji & Lulu who are patients here. The fantastic care continues. We've been to other vets around the bay area in San Bruno, San Mateo, and Fremont, but if you want a great place for your furry kids, this is the one.

Now my cats are flea free and updated on their rabies and FIV shots :). One of my cats even became a lot more cuddlier because she no longer was dealing with fleas. I've had good experiences and not so great experiences here…read more I had to get follow up tests done for 2 of my pets after they ingested too many supplements and they were quick, responsive and able to get us in on time and handled it well. I got a phone call from the vet with the test results and recommendations and appreciated it a lot. My partner took our cat here when they were sick and not moving - they played a huge role in the care for them and suspected potential cancer after x -rays and helped direct us to the right tests we needed. After the fact they helped us get prescription medicine to keep our cat comfortable as they deteriorated. We also had to bring him back to be euthanized and when he was at his worst. The experience was professional and I appreciated what they did for us that day. It was one of the worst days of my life and I lost my first pet and had to go through this for the first time and they helped my baby get through the experience. Now coming back for appts for stray kittens - they took over an hour and 20 minutes with them when there was only one other dog that was there for general checkup - they got 2 tests, said they gave them the flea medication, vaccination and dewormer. We got asked to get a stool sample and got a quote for spay/neuter for about $1400 and $1500. The pricing was pretty expensive with a lot of extras but if I declined some of the optional work it would still be over $800 each. We later got a call from the vet tech that they forgot to give the flea meds to the kittens and I could pick it up when I dropped off the stool sample. I found that super frustrating and unprofessional - I didn't get to go inside with them since they're doing construction on the lobby so I'm assuming they were having too much fun and cuddling kittens. Just an assumption though - can't prove anything - I was just frustrated. I'm back again for my other dog for a general checkup and an allergy medicine shot - they told me I'm the first slot of the day at 9:30am but when I got here there were 2 other families here and they got taken in first. Then they forgot about me and didn't come out and to chat with me and the check in didn't get printed when I was on time. They didn't come out to me until 10:15am and finally took him in. Today was especially frustrating and I'm confused since they've taken care of my other pets before. They definitely have a lot more availability than other vets in the east bay and it's helpful to be able to come here still. I would say their pricing is a little more expensive - things like the 3 IDEXX tests here are all separate and cost more whereas the emergency vet had a 3 in 1 test that was more affordable. The internet says average pricing for spays and neuters are $300-$500 for cats and $400-$1200+ for dogs - so their estimate is much higher than both of these general range of pricing.

Our 5 year old (very healthy) Labrador began foaming at the mouth and vomiting blood. We were able to get her seen RIGHT away - which can be critical in these situations. They were very thorough - they even checked for chest and abdominal sensitivity as well as her temperature - all of which were abnormal. But that's how thorough they are. When pets are family, choose a vet that will treat them like family.

My cat's condition was really bad, and ended up putting him to sleep. Wolfgang is incredible with all of them, and also treats our home with so much respect in the big and little ways (watering parched plants, tossing garbage in the bins outside, bringing in packages). His visitation notes make us feel so comforted knowing our pets are eating and using the restroom. We always feel guilty leaving them, but I know they're still getting lots of love and attention from an experienced caretaker who also genuinely loves animals.
