My partner and I were really stoked to be getting facials only for one of the estheticians to be a NO SHOW. Highly disappointing and unprofessional on their part. The receptionist failed to tell us in the beginning that the esthetician's phone had been going straight to voicemail the entire time! Came here after a recommendation from my hair dresser and I am glad that I did. I originally booked the package that includes an hour massage, a visit to the Salt Cave, and a Strong CBD bath. Unfortunately they had some plumbing issues, so they gave me the option to either cancel or reschedule this service. I decided to cancel, so I was not charged for this service. They have the option to fill out their required paperwork online, so I did that and didn't have to arrive until a few minutes before my appointment. The staff warmly greeted me and I was taken back to their waiting area that had a couple of massage chairs. There was relaxing and upbeat jazz playing as I waited. I was asked if I wanted wine, but couldn't have it before my massage, so I opted for the cheese and crackers instead. My massage therapist took me back to one of their massage rooms. The cave is well decorated and the lights are low and calming. The room was calm and relaxing as well; and my massage therapist, Jo, was so nice and understanding. I actually fell asleep a couple of times. I only wished that the jazz music was just a little bit lower as it was distracting at times. I was next lead to the salt cave. I was confused as I wasn't sure if I needed a robe or be fully clothed. I wasn't provided much instruction other than to take my shoes off before entering. However, the rocks inside the cave were super rough and difficult to walk on. The chairs were difficult to sit in as well. I found out later that they were recliners, but because of the material and them sitting on the uneven rocks this made the reclining process impossible. However, I was able to get in a few winks especially because of the glass of wine I was given. Overall I would come back for a massage, but not the salt cave. The massage therapist basically just rubbed lotion on my skin. I asked several times for her to apply more pressure (for reference, I am very sensitive and can't handle a lot of pressure during massages) and I believe it was overpriced. Renaissance is better and way more professional.I had a couples massage. The masseuse was nice. The receptionist sucks. No good customer service at the front. The salt rooms are mediocre and need and upgrade. The area for you to store your stuff is small and next to the toilet. I paid 250$ for a couples massage and had to wait and stare at my friend getting massaged. The charcuterie board was one smallll plate with barely any snacks on it.No music in the massage room and the massage was worth 60$ at best. read more

We were give an glass of wine each with refills. As well as a plate full of cheese, crackers, spinach drip, chocolate and fruit.The salt cave was nice and relaxing. So clearly this coupon is on here and when I tried to use it staff said they wouldn't honor it.. ok no biggie. On to the nitty gritty My first impression of this new spa was honestly disappointing you can tell the staff needs to work out the kinks. Poor communication with clients was prevalent. No one gave my friend and I a tour of the facility so we would know where to go for our services. poor customer service over all. You can hear the cackling and gossiping of staff in the front room from the not so far "waiting area", our thoughts is it about clients whose to say? but the fact that it's is disrupting and unprofessional behavior something not expected from a spa experience and ruined the atmosphere. I really disliked the fact my friend was offered refreshments while I stood next her and I was blatantly ignored it was offensive especially when I called out to the young lady 5 times and she ignored me all 5 times, then they asked her about her experience while I stood there ignored once more we weren't attached to the hip we have separate services with different staff. We had the 3 sweet. Not knowing which one would come first or if we would eventually end up in the same room. There also needs to be a dedicated changing room not the toilet room.. for the price I would hope to be treated like I'm at an actual spa .. the staff didn't even know where to shuffle us next that should be something taken care of before our appointment. I joined membership over a year ago, but decided to cancel last March because I was no longer pleased with the service. My membership was canceled upon request in march and my credit card was never charged again...that is until last October when they debited my card again for a full three months for membership fees which totaled 330.00! After calling, emailing, and paying the company a personal visit, they refunded me for the month of December, but refused to reimburse me for their mistake. I don't like complaining, but I don't like being taken advantage of either. It just seems like an unauthorized use of my credit card. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and WTVD Diane Wilson just so others can be aware of these fraudulent type activities. This was and should have been a simple fix in my opinion since I haven't been there in seven months. My daughter purchased a Swedish massage for me and it was amazing ..the ambiance was everything..I loved it

My husband and I were gifted visits to the salt cave. I was hopeful and excited about our visit since it was our first time. When I scheduled the appointment, I asked what we should wear as I had no idea what to expect. I was told to wear old gym clothes. I was not asked if we had visited before and was not told what to expect. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a hello and I proceeded to give the receptionist our Groupon coupons. Again, we were not told what to expect. We were then taken to the lounge area to wait, where we were given a small charcuterie plate of cheese, crackers, chocolates and were offered wine which was very nice. There were acoustic sounds that we believe were suppose to be the sounds of a thunderstorm with rain. This sound was very off putting and not relaxing at all. We then waited for a half hour, while we watched customers and employees come and go, back and forth while we waited with no explanation as to why it was taking so long. We were then told that the salt cave was being prepared for us (hmm) Our thought was that another couple was in the room and their time impeded on our time. Not sure why there would be a conflict since our appointment was made well in advance. We were then ushered into the salt cave where we entered and the door was shut without once AGAIN any explanation as to what we should expect. The salt cave was a room filled with salt on the floor and walls and had dim lighting. The room was cold and there was a mist of what we believed to be salt vapors that came from a humidifier like machine. When our session was complete, a employee came to the door to advise us that our session was over and we left. Needless to say, we were very confused and disappointed by our experience. We had hoped to possibly book massages at a later date, but unfortunately we will not be back. A day or two later a manager called us to address our concerns after I gave a poor review. I explained our visit and concerns about the poor customer service. Was told that this was not how customers were to be treated and that she hoped we would return so they could try again to give us a positive experience. There was no mention of a discount or complementary trip to return. My best friend gifted this experience to us and I feel bad that she spent money with the intent of giving us a stress free spa experience. Sad to say it was anything but.... read more

The only thing missing was an Oceanside cabana. I undoubtedly felt like I was in a luxurious spa on an island somewhere. I really wanted to love this place but honestly it's just too inconsistent. I've had good experiences and bad. I did love the sugar scrub treatments a lot and the massages were ok too. The charcuterie and mimosas are nice touches. At first glance the atmosphere seems great but when you are kept waiting 45 minutes to get into the salt cave you booked because the staff can't get the prior party to leave when their session has ended you start to notice the flaws like the overly loud music and dusty fake plants all over the walls. It just wasn't very relaxing. They seem to have a lot of turnover in staff, too, which translates to lots of confusion. My biggest problem is the membership rules which seemed to change every time I went. Members are not given a printed contract like other places. Services roll over, then they don't. Services are included, then they aren't. If you cancel, all services are forfeited. I went about six times and that was enough. It's not worth the hassle. Today was my first time going to The Cave Halo Therapy & Spa. I booked a deep tissue massage with Mimi Carter and she did such an Amazing job! Today I was mentally and physically stressed. I've been dealing with chronic shoulder pain for 3 years. I have a grade 2 AC joint separation. I went to my appointment and soon as she started she immediately felt the tight tension. She worked out so many knots. I haven't had relief in years. She applied the perfect amount of pressure. I will definitely come back and book with Mimi.
