It reminded me of a Daiso Japanese discount store here in California, that meets IKEA. Just like any discount stores, prices at Tiger are cheap! Many items, particularly food snacks, starts at €1,00 and run up to €5,00 or so. Fortunately for me, I needed to buy a glue stick and throat drops for my budding cold. They had them for €1,00 each. In fact, my Halls were TWO for €1,00... Even more of a bargain! If you just want to find knickknacks to bring back as gifts or for personal use, check this place out for cheap thrills.

Die Verkäuferin sagte, es würde 20 Cent pro Geschenk kosten. Da ich oft dort einkaufe, fragte ich freundlich, ob ich als Stammkundin das Geschenkpapier kostenlos bekommen könnte. Die Verkäuferin holte ihre Chefin aus dem Lager, und die beiden Frauen sagten mir, ich würde immer nach einem Rabatt fragen. Das stimmt zwar, ist aber in Österreich seit über zehn Jahren üblich; selbst Supermärkte, Drogerien und Bekleidungsgeschäfte freuen sich über unsere Einkäufe und bieten ihren Stammkunden/App-Nutzern Rabatte an, weshalb ich ja auch gefragt hatte. Heute sagte mir ein Verkäufer, ich dürfe dort nicht mehr einkaufen. Ich fragte nach dem Grund, und er sagte, weil ich das Geschenkpapier kostenlos haben wolle. Ich erwiderte, dass ich manchmal für 100 € einkaufe und da sollte ich doch 1 € für Geschenkpapier bezahlen können. Es scheint sich um einen Familienbetrieb zu handeln, da alle eine Fremdsprache sprechen. Das finde ich nicht in Ordnung. Der Inhaber dieses Ladens sollte darüber nachdenken, Verkäufer aus verschiedenen Ländern einzustellen, damit nicht eine einzige Person das Sagen hat. Da es sich um einen wichtigen internationalen Bahnhof handelt, ist unangemessenes Verhalten von Verkäufern äußerst störend, denn die meisten Wiener Geschäfte sind kundenfreundlich, unabhängig von der Herkunft ihrer Kunden.

The chocolate is still made by the same family that has owned the shop for generations. This chocolate shop has drawers of chocolates to sift through. This used to be a button shop for the royalty. The drawers were full of buttons that the royalty could pick from to be on their clothes. Now the drawers are filled with buttons of delicious chocolates. The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Besides, who could be sour in a chocolate shop. It was some of the best chocolate we have ever had. We are keeping the hot chocolate mix for our trip to Tahoe later this year. It will be a way we can relive our amazing trip. I wanted to say thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful in selecting our chocolate. I gave it one Euro sign, but you could easily get carried away in here. We spent over $40 of chocolate because we knew we weren't going to be back anytime soon.
