All of us need a nice doctor's office to visit. Since I have lived outside of my home country for…read moreso long, I am very careful who I select as my overseas medical care facility. I can tell you this place is not only professional but also reminds me of home - not the high, exorbitant fees I would pay in the good old USA, but the demeanor and manner of then staff! Home run for expats or those who live or work in the city. I will stick to this team of professionals!

The reasons I like this medical centre are simple:…read more - plenty of female doctors. - they do a 'lunchtime prescription service' that is bulk billed. you can pick up your script without having to do a full consultation. - they have a pathology onsite. - doctors can provide test results via a web based service. I would recommend this centre to CBD locals.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and doctors here. The practice itself is…read morehoused a tidy little art deco bungalow which looks small on the outside but seems to grow once you walk in the front door. The waiting room can get a little crowded but there's still always somewhere to sit, lots of water, magazines, etc. There's also a separate room for parents with children that has a variety of toys and books, which is awesome if you're a grumpy, sick adult who hates the sound of fun and laughter. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and have managed to book all of my appointments without any hiccups or scheduling problems. The only downside here is that they don't do bulk billing (so far as I'm aware). They's plenty of parking at the back of the practice, which you can turn into from Inkerman street. In the car park you'll also find a back entrance with a wheelchair accessible ramp. Professional, clean, kind, and friendly. I would recommend any of the doctors here to anyone.

Dr Steward W Macdonald is a great family dentist that I've been visiting for years and am yet to have any problems with whatsoever. I've been on a bit of a hunt for a better local doctor. I've had some great Yelp recommendations,…read morebut they've either been unable to take on new patients or been just that little bit too far for a casual doctor visit. I decided to check out the Port Melbourne Medical centre after passing the newish looking building. They have a number of female doctors there (more so than male doctors actually), which makes it a great option for women. They all seem to work on alternative days, so you might not see the same one every time if you have an appointment that can't wait. I initially saw Dr. Rebecca, who was absolutely lovely. Her relaxed nature made me feel immediately comfortable chatting with her and she was straight forward without being at all rude or abrupt as I have experienced at other clinics. I've also seen Dr Sarah Lewis who has become my regular doctor and she's been wonderful - helpful and compassionate. The clinic itself is new and bright. It doesn't feel dingy and depressing. They offer pathology services for the first half of each day, which is handy to not have to go to another location if you need a blood test for any reason. Hoping not to make a habit of going, but it's always nice to know they're there!

His assistant was very nice on the phone and in person. I only needed a filling replaced, but was going to get a cleaning done as well. He was very quick to clean up the tooth and get it ready to replace the filling. I didn't need a shot as he was accurate and attentive to whether I was feeling pain. I did not in fact feel any. The new filling went in in under five minutes and he made three adjustments to the surface to make sure my bite was not affected by the new material. He refused to clean my teeth, said I had taken good enough care that a cleaning was unnecessary. The whole visit was done in 18 minutes and cost $170. Very pleased. I would recommend him without reservation.

They keep to their appointment times better than many other clinics. The waiting area is nice and sunny, hidden from the street by trees but it manages to be airy, not stuffy.
