We reached out to Connie (I think we called her or submitted a request via her website ) and she responded promptly (she is busy so the initial Zoom meeting may take a couple of weeks). In any event, in all our interactions, Connie was responsive, practical, knowledgeable, efficient and just a lovely person (funny too). I should mention that my spouse and I had a short time frame to revise our revocable family trust (along with wills, advanced directives, and power of attorney) and Connie understood and met our time constraints. One night she sent a draft of the revised trust at 1:30 in the morning. If we reached out to her at 9 in the morning, she'd respond promptly as well (within a couple of hours if that). Connie also understood our questions/concerns and provided clear and concise responses (whether via Zoom or by email). We really appreciated Connie's thoughtfulness, diligence, and assistance. I have recommended Connie to our friends. Btw, Connie's fee structure is very reasonable for the services provided. She is also forthright and, if you ask her, she will just tell you, this is what my services will cost. I do feel the need to rebut the one bad review (JW's review). What a strange review. Why would you want an attorney to provide services in an area in which they lack expertise? To me, JW's review is evidence of Connie's honesty and, quite frankly, JW should be thanking Connie for being ethical (vs some charlatan that responds with pay me and I'll give you advice in an area I know nothing about). As an attorney, the law is complex. You do not want someone to give you advice in area in which they lack expertise (sort of like, you would not want an ophthalmologist to conduct your heart surgery--just saying). Anyhow, an example of Connie's expertise: I go, hey Connie, why did you include this language, seems to limit protection against a wayward trustee who, in theory, could steal the assets of the trust (she gave a precise and clear answer). I do actively dislike critical reviews that are baseless. My personal experience with Connie was excellent. My spouse thought so too.

Her fee structure is reasonable and she quickly gets the job done. She replies quickly to our emails and offers a free consultation to boot. John Park met all our questions and concerns. The team is on point with their commnication. They are easy to talk to, they frequently update you with the status. You are never left wondering. I find it extremely important, and I appreciate that they highly value their client's time. I highly recommend John Park and his team! Another plus for us was that Attourney John Park spoke Korean. This was very helpful with creating a trust for my parents. He was very patient with all of my parents questions and concerns. His team is very pleaseant and accomodating. It made creating a trust for my husband and I, as well as another for my parents a breeze.

Ran (in their client services department) is very easy to communicate with by being both well-organized and, more importantly, extremely responsive to emails and calls in a timely manner. I truly appreciate this because it shows they are not only dedicated to their relationship with me, but they also respect my time. The high standard of professionalism I receive consistently exceeds my expectations and I would absolutely recommend John and his team to my family and friends for legal services, especially related to estate planning needs.

When my father passed in December of 2019, I had no clue of all the work that goes into probate…read more When my cousin suggested I get an attorney, I honestly thought to myself, "why? I have a paralegal degree." I had no idea where to start. My friend suggested the Law Offices of James J. Phillips, as one of her friends was able to get her Living Trust done in a hurry. Upon meeting Jim at his office in Castro Valley, I felt very comfortable and felt as though him and his team were very trustworthy. As we began to open probate, everything got pushed back because of the Court closures due to Covid-19. Jim and his daughter Katelyn did a terrific job in staying in contact via email, phone and Zoom meetings. They made the process so easy in a situation that was one of the most difficult in my life. They listened to my endless stories and made an effort to know me on an interpersonal level at a time when human contact was minimal. As a result of going through the hardship of probate (and at Jim's suggestion), I choose to complete a Living Trust, Last Will and Testament, and Advance Health Care Directive. Going through that process was easier than I thought it was going to be. I answered a questionnaire that Katelyn and I went over via zoom to be able to draft the documents. I then reviewed the documents, had another zoom meeting with her for corrections and additions and before I knew it, we were having them notarized. I can't thank Jim, Katelyn and their team enough. They got me through a very difficult process and I can't even put into words how much I would recommend their services.

Very positive communication, honesty and transparency. What a welcome relief to be treated with decency and respect! It is shocking how many businesses do not have the professionalism to at least give a timely call back and even a small follow up. Mr. Phillips business doesn't fall into that category, thank goodness! They know their stuff and get it done!!!! Highly recommend!!! :)

From the beginning, they were incredibly personable and patient, taking the time to explain the process, manage expectations, and coach me through each phase of what was a long and stressful case. When it finally came time for trial, they were outstanding. They tried the case in front of a jury and won, and even more telling, several jurors stayed afterward to personally share positive feedback about how decent, credible, and impressive Kent and Hamaseh were. That kind of response says everything about their integrity, preparation, and presence in the courtroom. I felt supported, well prepared, and confident because of them. Truly 10/10. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needs strong, principled legal representation.
