Doctors are good. Staff awful. Last time I was there I was told they couldn't file my insurance because they didn't know how. It was in with my health insurance. I used my other insurance even though it didn't cover as well. I was overcharged this time according to my explanation of benefits. They didn't even file a portion of the exam. I was hung up on after speaking with the lady in billing. I called back immediately and the front desk picked up the phone and hung it up. read more

I have used this office before for my diabetic eye exam. When I set the appointment I specifically asked if they accepted my insurance. I was assured that they did. Before the appointment I received a text to fill out forms including insurance information, which I completed the day prior. No one called to inform me that they did not take my insurance. When I arrived I was asked for my drivers license and insurance card. Copies were made. I then proceed to wait. After waiting for about 30-45 minutes I get called back up to the front desk and asked for my insurance. I mentioned that I had already given the card to her coworker who I guess did not think my insurance card was insurance so did not copy. I gave her my card and she went in to the back and came back stating that they didn't take my insurance which is tricare. I stated that I was told they did. The clerk acted rude and said that she didn't know who I had talked to but they didn't. She stated you can pay $xxx to be seen. It would have been nice if she had made some sort of apology for the error, I would have in her place as it is proper business. Unfortunately it was clear that she did not give any care to whether I was seen or not. Great way to keep business. I guess they must not need patients. Don't waste your time going there. It was too bad. I had a pleasant visit at a prior visit, but it had been several years and processes change. I would not have written any type of review if the staff had reviewed and verified insurance prior to the visit as they did request forms filled out prior or if there had been common courtesy given.
