Absolutely the worst property manager beyond what you would even imagine to be as horrible as it…read moregets. She demonstrates no follow through on anything whatsoever, and has such low standards to begin with that it's hard to imagine why anyone continues allowing her to manage/ruin their properties. She'll tell you when you sign a lease all the things she's going to do in order to get the property ready once vacant and prior to your move in date, however not a thing she agreed to do will actually happen leaving you with a poorly cared for, nasty, environment where things are broken or inoperable. You can go back and forth with her as many times as you want about all the issues, but it won't matter because she'll wear you out fabricating stories and making you think she's finally actually going to take care of the issues but not a chance it will happen. Sometimes she even says she took care of something that is a black and white issue and not subjective such as replacing a missing toilet seat--yet it's not hard to see there still isn't a toilet seat --so blatantly false --but she'll stick to it no matter what you try and mark it off her list and refuse to discuss it further! It's like that with almost everything she says and does. The harder you work to get things corrected the more it wears you down to jump thru that many hoops nonstop because it's impossible to reason with complete fiction. If you met her you might be tempted to say she seems nice, easy going, professional & right on top of things....hahaha... yeah I certainly did and never ever have I been more wrong in my entire life. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and at peace in their home in my opinion, and there are few worse feelings than never being able to have that because you're constantly dealing with a mess of some sort from the total lack of property care along the way or it wouldn't be so out of hand with never ending issues or problems (a few of which could include in a months time period--no hot water, a flooding dish washer, an inoperable washing machine--which would just be the norm and not a bad month at all sadly). Ultimately I've paid for more repairs renting than I did as a home owner because it's almost unavoidable when Debbie manages a property. When it's flooding in your kitchen one night & there's no response from your property manager, it's either do nothing and have your belongings ruined or call someone to come out and have it fixed yourself which includes paying for it. It would seem reasonable to just be reimbursed after the fact, or I thought so, and its laughable to even think it would be anything close to that simple with this woman. Not in a million years. The 20 hours spent going back and forth will cost you more in what it takes from your mental health to keep dealing with it then the cost of what was spent for the plumber bill to begin with. Or if you want to take a shower in hot water after weeks of only cold & 15 contact attempts later it's no different, it comes down to the whether you want to spend money on gas driving somewhere else to shower, pay for a lawyer and go to court over it, or pay the technician to come out and fix it so you can have a functional living environment to whatever degree is possible with this woman running the show....all I can say is I strongly urge you more than I can put into words to stay far away from any rental property Debbie/Long & Foster (electric rd) manages & unfortunately that eliminates a lot of places but it's so not worth putting yourself thru her unfathomable nonsense and complete lack of any human decency or else she'd never sleep at night knowing how difficult she's making other people's lives.
