There an older fire engine there on display, called the Queen (for the hotel fire it fought for over 24 hours).. as well as much of the gear they use. They let you venture upstairs to see where they live and spend their time when not on calls. They even let the little ones climb up into the truck. Something I know I loved to do when I was young. A great addition to the DoorsOpenHalifax event. And a huge thanks to all first responders in our lives. They who rush in, as the rest rush out, we shall forever be grateful.

Depending on who the case worker is, 7 out of 10 times they have been helpful even in the instances in which the worker does not qualify and or qualifies with limitations. I most recently filed a letter of concern with WCB against a former place I worked 'cause prior to my departure a few technicians raised some concerns with me over safety. This in conjunction with safety funding requests made to my boss at the time, all of which were rejected but one (first aid kit) were rejected due to financing (which was BS 'cause even though he claimed there was no money, he was buying trips to Germany to see his son etc.). I mostly did this once again for the two technicians that I cared about who raised said concern with me. I used some documentation between my boss and I as cause for them to come down. Good news is that they were in the clear. It was one of the few times in which I was thankful, however, they did a general inspection not a specific one in relation to the safety regulations set out by the Ministry of Environment.
