MH Computers have been absolutely wonderful at diagnosing and rebuilding my PC. My computer was…read moreoriginally a CyberPower pre-built I purchased during lockdown and failed catastrophically just outside their 2-year parts warranty. I'd had issues with the machine for a while (a dodgy rear USB port fried two peripherals and the HDD casing was broken since I got it), but when I purchased a new PSU and installed it, the whole rig up and died. I ended up reaching out and bringing my machine to MH Computers for diagnostics and whatever repair was necessary. Mick was incredibly friendly and fantastically honest with me. He kept in close contact all throughout the extensive process, being open and honest about my options as we uncovered more issues at each stage. He has been nothing but lovely and helpful the whole time, and I cannot recommend him enough. It had turned out CyberPower had initially sold me a really cheap and dodgy PSU, which had fried not only my motherboard but my expensive Ryzen 9 CPU as well. Mick ended up basically rebuilding the whole rig for me in the end, working with me to make sure I got everything just how I wanted. He even remembered that at drop off I'd said I wanted to rescue some of the stickers on my old case and made sure that was returned to me! The new machine is beautiful and quiet and works like a dream. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! I can also confirm his service LGBTQ+ friendly as I am Non-Binary and was open during conversations about my LGBTQ+ partner.

Then a week later it broke again so I sent it back. This happened a further 8 times up until now (October). The manager Graham even charged me £116 more on 9th October for a new motherboard which he promised would fix it. Then he sent it back and assured it would be the final time they would see it and as soon as I switched it on it was broken. It is as if they are just opening up the case and playing about and closing it again. This company have not got a clue what they are doing and Graham the owner/manager is quite happy to talk to me as if I know nothing about computers and then lie about fixing mine. I am so dissapointed that I feel sick - tomorrow I am taking my laptop to an approved Sony Vaio repair shop.

Staff are very knowledgeable and can help anyone from a new pc user to professionals. The prices at Scan are a little higher than some offers you can find on sites such as Amazon but I would totally recommend paying the little extra, especially if you are new to computers as it gives you peace of mind.

I'm lucky to have a computer geek for a boyfriend...if this wasn't the case I would have relied on shops like this many a time to solve my computer-related trials and tribulations! Computer Corner also sells a wide range of computer-related accessories such as leads and keyboards and other essentials. It seems like a popular little shop as when I visited there was a bit of a queue. The staff seem friendly and helpful so if, like me, you're a bit clueless computer-wise, the staff should be able to point you in the right direction.

I took my external hard drive & he migrated over all the info & gave me some tutoring on how to use my lovely new baby. You get so much more time here in comparison to the Apple Store. Also, they charge £79 at the Apple Store to be a member - and only then can you book an appointment (which you can wait a couple of weeks to get!) At GBM you can ring them up & get an appointment the next day. On my first visit I just showed up & they didn't charge me. For my visit yesterday it was £50 +vat but it was worth every penny for the piece of mind that I have my huge library of photos, music, documents etc all safe. Would highly recommend this place - they also fix iPads & sell on 'open box / returned' Apple products. That's the products that people buy from catalogue companies & then return within 28 days. You really need to avoid this place. They are supposed to…read morebe in the IT business, they are really more like demolition experts. I took a working, but slightly faulty PC in to have them diagnose why I was getting low frame rates after installing a new graphics card. They said they would do a diagnostic. It seems a diagnostic involves them breaking your PC so that it won't even switch on. After they have done this they will proceed to claim that it was like that when it came in. All this is utter bullsh1t. just like the reviews they have written for themselves on their little section on Google. They treat customers as if they are idiots who know nothing. Now while I am not an expert in IT myself I have many years experience of building perfectly good systems and they were talking rubbish. So if you want to be treated as an intelligent human being and to have your (probably quite expensive) PC diagnosed and looked after take it to somewhere that is at least halfway competent and not to these clowns.

This was not the case when I returned to the store two days later, I was dealt with by the manager, who I found arrogant and talked to me like I did not know what I was talking about.. this lead to an argument between us in the middle of the store, not very wise from his perspective. I would advise people to steer clear of the Blackburn PC World and buy products online or at a local PC shop, you will find most items a lot cheaper than PC World and you will find a lot more information by doing research online or getting help from the guys at the shops, who I find more knowledgable than PC World staff, who seem to offer the world when they are selling, but couldn't give a toss when things go wrong.
