When we asked where to get a bus they offered us a courtesy car for free (ok it was a battered fiesta but it was comfortable, had a good stereo and was FREE!!) In the end it was only my battery that needed replacing, they didn't try to rip me off by suggesting other work, all in all it was a very positive experience. Unfortunately however the new tyres were over-pumped to BAR 2.7 when they should have been pumped to 2.1 BAR. The lockable dust caps that were fitted to the car, despite providing the key to unlock were broken off and replaced with cheap, generic, plastic replacements however, leaving me out of pocket. When questioning this I was met with a rude and passive-aggressive reaction from a member of staff, sternly telling me off, saying he would not be able to remove the tyres otherwise (this is not true) the key could have been used.

I've never had any problems with any of the work the mechanics have done and I always get a clear explanation of what is wrong, what work is required and how we can fix it without seeing me too far out of pocket. I usually have difficulty trusting tradesmen having been ripped off too many times in the past, but with this workshop I feel completely at ease that I am getting a good service and being charged a fair price. The mechanics are very professional and helpful and go out of their way to assist and explain problems if and when they occur. VW car servicing is not cheap as the cars are built using quality materials. However, having said that, they do their best to ensure you are happy and give me a quality courtesy car each time mine is in for a service. The sales team are good too. I was pleased with their friendliness and help when buying my Mk 5 Golf. The free coffee is a bonus too. Overall I would rate this garage as excellent so well done.

The staff are friendly and accommodating and will make every effort to carry out any short notice maintenance. The engineers are qualified in all the usual requirements of a car mechanic including MOT for both petrol and diesel vehicles, car service, tyre replacement with track and balance and all repairs are considered. The garage are always busy and booking is a must to ensure you get in on time for your MOT. The only negative for them is they are a little on the expensive side.
