If I could put 0 stars I would. I booked car in for brake pad change, service and MOT on Monday. I was called to say my disks needed done for MOT which I was angry about as no evidence and when checked earlier didn't appear to need it but stuff it I'll go for it. They then proceed to tell me that my spark plugs, brake fluid and pollen filter need changing. If they had looked online at service book (which I can't do but know they can) they would have seen those were done in January last year and so didn't need doing this year so they played on the fact I was a new driver and didn't know what was what to get me to do this. I agreed. My car was working perfectly other than brakes before I took it in and I wanted it to stay that way. I took it away happy but then Monday evening there was occasionally a quick flash of engine warning which wasn't there before but I thought nothing of it as it was going back off. By Thursday I'm in limp mode. I took it down today (Friday) for them to originally say wrong spark plugs. They say they'll fix it. I get a call saying my coil pack is gone so I speak to a mechanic elsewhere. I go see them and tell them I'm well informed that having the wrong spark plugs can damage my coil pack so its their fault, they then say no no was correct spark plugs but possibly faulty, I said we'll if faulty that would damage coil pack, he agreed but then said the spark plugs aren't faulty, I asked how he knows and he told me because car still misfiring, again I said but if I've been driving around with faulty spark plugs that would have damaged coil pack which would mean it still misfires today with new spark plugs. He says no, not what's happened. Big coincidence then that my car was fine until they touched it and now they won't accept responsibility. Avoid! Not real mechanics else they'd have put the right ones in to start with. They've charged me £400 for them to break my car read more
