We recently had a game night near this park. When they gave me their address and I searched Google... I noticed this park on the map. I did a little research and it seemed like a hidden park right in the middle of a neighborhood.
I immediately went to Yelp but it was nowhere to be found. Naturally, I added it and decided that plans to visit needed to happen. Google had some pictures of the place and it seemed cool.
This park sits with backyards on all sides of it. I'm curious on how much use this gets. It's peaceful and easy to find. It's clear when you're walking on the main sidewalk on where it is. It has a paved path from the main sidewalk all the way back to where everything is.
There are trees, flowers, a playground, a gazebo, picnic tables, statues, and water fountains. The park is spacious and I could easily see myself relaxing any day of the week here. While it's in the Highlands, it's also tucked away making the sounds of the city bounce away from this park. It was quiet and peaceful.
As we were leaving the park, I did hear an older lady cough on her back porch. I'm not sure if she had been there all along or if she noticed we were checking out the place. We might've caught her attention which brought her outside. With that being said, I feel like anyone could go and hang out there. It does seem like a community park so I'm sure the neighbors there hold that little slice near and dear while all of them keep an eye on things.
