I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sara! From the moment I came across her glowing reviews and saw her stunning work on Instagram, I knew I was in good hands. Even though I didn't have a hair trial, I felt completely at ease trusting her--and she absolutely delivered. On my wedding day, she arrived on time, brought such a calming energy, and worked magic on my hair. The final look was exactly what I had dreamed of--elegant, timeless, and it held up perfectly through hours of dancing, photos, and happy tears. I received so many compliments throughout the day! Sara and her assistant also styled my bridesmaid, my mom, and the mother of the groom, and each of them looked absolutely beautiful. They tailored each style to suit their personalities and preferences, and everyone felt confident and comfortable. It meant so much to me that they felt as special and cared for as I did. I wish Sara could do my hair and makeup every day! I was so blessed to be able to book her for hair and makeup for my wedding in April. I stumbled on her Instagram page one day and instantly knew--that's EXACTLY what I want! She was so fast to answer my questions, flexible, and has great communication. Plus, her IG/website are an incredible wealth of knowledge and information on what to expect. I am someone who is more quiet and I never do my makeup or style my hair. I was able to set up a trial for both services and she was able to walk me through the entire process. It was so much fun! We got to experiment with colors, she got me a perfect match for extensions, and you could just tell she was in her element. I LOVED the trial hair and makeup. On the wedding day...I was blown away. Sara is an artist. I don't know if I'll ever look that good again. She took all the feedback from the trial and just executed everything perfectly. No notes. *Get the extensions, you won't regret it.* She came to our hotel, fully set up with a great playlist and went to work. She also did my (13yo) stepdaughters hair and makeup and I cried when I saw it. She was beautiful and Sara kept the style appropriate for her outfit and age. I'd also like to note its like having your girlfriend doing your hair, she is such a warm presence and fun, she kept me focused with tasks when I started pacing around haha. We had some family drama and she was right there to help if needed. She understood our needs and wants and went above and beyond. That said as well, Sara is a professional and has everything well laid out, documents all the details so its a stress free day, she's got a huge portfolio and her prices are an absolute steal for the services she provides. I could go on forever, I was so pleased, its exactly the experience you want trust me. REMEMBER, you're getting your photos taken all day, you want to look fabulous so you, friends, and family can look back at those pictures for a lifetime. I felt so beautiful and my hair and makeup stayed put the whole day. My husband loved it. I got tons of compliments all day and still am now on how good of a job Sara did. She has so much range in her portfolio and was able to give everyone exactly what they were looking for. She took the time to really understand what I wanted at the trial and modified it perfectly based on my feedback on the day of. She truly knows her stuff and is worth every penny! Sara did amazing with my hair and my bridesmaids! I was a little upset that I sensed irritability from Sara when I let her know I would be wearing a veil. The veil ending up looking great with the style but she still deserves 5 stars because she came through, did amazing work, and travelled outside of her radius. I searched all over SoCal for the best hairstylist and Sara is one! Thank you for helping make our magical day special!
Absolutely amazing!! Sara is THE BEST and wow is she talented!! Sara is very knowledgeable and she truly has a gift when it comes to doing hair for your big day. She listened to everything I wanted and made great recommendations during my trial. She is also very honest and real, which I love. Her communication is excellent, and her flexibility made everything for my big day seamless. All of my bridesmaids and family's hair turned out STUNNING! I am still obsessed over my wedding hair! My hair and all of my bridesmaid's hair stayed all day and all night long through the sweat and dancing too. Our curls stayed all night. We started our hair at 8am, and we didn't take it out until 1am, and it was still all in tact! I cannot highly recommend Sara enough. She is a great energy to have on your wedding day. Her pricing is very fair, especially for her quality of work. Most importantly, she made myself and all of my wedding party feel beautiful and confident.
Sara is truly the best hair stylist for your event and wedding. Her communication and hard working worth ethic is incredible, but that only is a small detail compared to the insanely amazing hair styles she can do! She did 5 gals for my wedding day including me the bride. My hair was PERFECT. It lasted all day and night even through crazy dancing. She is a true professional, and brings such a great energy to the day of the wedding. My trial as well with her was perfect! She is a great listener, and extremely adaptive to all of the needs of a bride! I would give her 100 stars if I could!

I was a pandemic bride, but I didn't know that at the time when I booked HairSpray Studio. I am generally a no-fuss kinda gal who doesn't wear makeup and has only two hairstyles: up and down. I knew that I wanted to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding, but I was overwhelmed on what I actually wanted since I didn't really know much about getting these services done. I had tried one other hair and makeup artist, which I liked, but I didn't walk away from with a feeling of - "this is it". I stumbled across HairSpray Studio and I was in complete awe by the photos and reviews. I was really looking for someone who could do both my hair and makeup and I knew I had to get a trial! During my trial, Sara took the time to ask me questions about the venue, dress, and my overall personality to make sure she gave me the best look possible. She was so kind and patient and asked my opinion along the way to make sure we got it just right. I was completely in love with the trial, so much that my then-fiancé got dressed up and we went out on a nice date. I got a lot of complements on the hair and makeup while we were out. I booked HairSpary Studio a few months before the pandemic hit and Sara was so kind to check in periodically to see how I was doing and what the status of the wedding was given the global crisis. She was always quick to respond and very sweet. Sara gave me a timeline for hair and makeup for myself, my mother, and my mother-in-law a few days before the wedding. Sara showed up on time and got straight to work on the hair and makeup of the moms. Neither of the moms are used to getting their makeup done so Sara was able to talk over their likes and dislikes until they found "the look" - and wow, did they look beautiful! Let me just say... my hair, was one of the top memories of the day (besides marrying my husband!). I was absolutely LIVING for the braid she gave me. She did such an amazing job and was so professional throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend HairSpray Studio for your next hair or makeup needs! I wish I would afford to have my hair done every day by Sara!

Sara was our hairstylist for my wedding last Saturday! She did the hair for myself as bride, my 2 sisters (co-maid of honors), my mom, and my (now) mother-in-law. We were all super happy with how our hair turned out - Sara is talented and efficient. My sisters and I showed her some inspo pics and she adapted them to our hair texture/length and executed our vision perfectly. My inspo was a relaxed, hollywood-waves type look and originally I wasn't going to have a hairpiece since I was really stuck on "minimalist" theme for the wedding but she showed us some examples with a simple hairpiece and we all fell in love with the look and we're super happy I went with her suggestion. My sisters both wanted half-up, half-done wavy looks - it turned out so cute - cue the 1st set of near tears for the day. My mom was originally thinking of doing an up-do but she has shorter hair so Sara advised the updo likely would fall out throughout the night. Sara suggested a half-up, half-done curly look - my mom's hair also turned out super cute - cue the 2nd set of near tears for the day. My (now) mother-in-law requested an up-do with some loose tendrils in the front - loved her look - so elegant and classic! All our hairstyles lasted through the wedding, which is a must - can't be stressing about your hair on your big day!

Sara is the best! As a former salon owner I know the value of Bridal hair. Not all stylists have experience in Bridal, it's a whole nother level! Sara does & her work shows it. Sara is such an amazing, beautiful and talented woman!! Not only did she answer all of my questions regarding what I wanted for my hair she went above and beyond and gave me recommendations for makeup, photography etc! She truly listens and wants the best for her clients and I could not recommend her enough. Also, if you have naturally textured/curly/wavy hair Sara is so good at working with it and giving you exactly what you want. My elopement hair came out so beautifully. I'm still dreaming about it. What went well? Everything! I found Sara on Instagram during my search for a stylist who can do Hollywood glam waves. I had a trial with Sara months before my wedding and I fell in love! Showed her an inspo picture on Pinterest and referenced work she did before and she nailed it. Not only was her work amazing, her vibes were unmatched. I knew instantly this was my stylist. I asked her to send the contract immediately! Days before my wedding, I wasn't sure what earrings to wear and I asked Sara what she thought about 2 different earrings and she was honest about how it'd probably get tangled in my hair. Best advice a stylist can give you, because I listened and decided to wear my other option and have no regrets. Wedding day, Sara was on time, prepared and came with her amazing playlist. I ended up deciding with a different style than what I did at my trial. Again, I sent Sara my inspo photo a few weeks before and told her I think this style would match my personality a lot more and she agreed and delivered. I had no doubt about the results and she did not disappoint. Although I loved the Hollywood glam waves I did at my trial, I am still obsessed with my glam waves for my wedding. My hair held the entire day/night. I probably would have woken up to perfect hair if I weren't sweating and dancing the way I did. I'm not even embarrassed to say this, I look at my photos of my hair daily since my wedding day. Sara is absolutely incredible at what she does. After she did hair and makeup for my friends wedding and I was a bridesmaid, I knew I had to have her when I got married! I used her for boudoir photos and she made me look like a supermodel! We were a covid couple who had to postpone our wedding a year and she was so understanding and worked with us quickly to move our date. She absolutely went above and beyond on my wedding day! She made it look like I had extensions in even with my thin hair! We had so much fun and she was efficient and professional. Everyone raved about their hair! She absolutely has a gift! My photos have since been used on Pinterest and I am still asked to this day who did it! 2 years later, she did my hair and makeup for a mommy and me photo shoot with my little girl! I wasn't able to find someone to help with my daughter while she was getting me ready and she just worked around her and was so kind and friendly as always. Sara came in at the very last minute to replace my original hair stylist for our wedding and let me tell you, she did not disappoint!! She was available for questions whenever I needed her & showed up super professional & on time the morning of our wedding (which was early). I wanted a boho, messy(ish) updo & I was a little nervous because we hadn't had a trial since it was so last minute. I remember her being very calm & before I knew it I was done and had such a beautiful boho updo that was even more romantic than I thought it would be. All of my bridesmaids were super happy with their hair as well & she got us all out the door on time. I have to say, my experience with Sara, trial and day-of, was incredible. I had been searching for hair/makeup for a few months before scheduling a trial, and had no idea how much it entailed. It is a complex art. Sara is your artist. I scheduled my trial, prepared with little except for my insecurities of my ultra baby fine hair and my under eye circles. I had no clue what to expect. I'm generally pretty light on the makeup for day to day (and nonexistent due to COVID due to WFH), but I wanted something that would enhance and look great in pictures and stand up to the elements (sweating, crying, etc.). She took her time to ask questions about all the details of my wedding. She transformed my TINY ponytail into the most gorgeous updo I've ever seen. Since I couldn't go dancing after my trial, instead I went out to dinner, walked around Little Italy, had some nighttime activities, slept in my full hairdo (not my makeup though), and woke up to do a Zoom bootcamp in the morning just to see how it held up. Not only did it keep its shape and mobility, the curls stayed springy and with a quick touch-up hairspray it was good as new. Incredible. I highly recommend Sara, you will not be disappointed. Her price is below average in San Diego, for talent that is worth its weight in gold. She's highly credentialed, uses excellent quality products, and can transform you into the most beautiful version of yourself. read more

I can not say enough about Sara... it was an absolute answer to prayer to find her! I have naturally curly hair, and was having the hardest time finding someone who knew how to deal with my hair for my wedding day. I went to multiple different stylists and no one was ever able to work with my natural curl, until Sara! Every one I had tried wanted to straighten my hair and re-curl it, even through I explained that that doesn't work with my hair. Sara completely understood, and found a way to keep my natural look but enhance it! She listened to what I wanted and was willing to work with me until we found exactly what I was hoping for! She went above and beyond. She was incredibly kind, caring, and a joy to be around. She drove to San Juan Capistrano all the way from San Diego, was on time, and very professional. Every one of my bridesmaids and family members who were styled by her were shocked at how amazing she was able to make their hair look!
