I didn't wait more than 15 min, on a Saturday, normally super busy. Donny has been the prefered local spot since he opened. Old school feel to his shop - straight up business, no foo-foo nonsense - with that said, I didn't hear any curse words, no misogynistic behavior or language (I have 3 young daughters whom I love and protect- do not suffer fools nor any bs towards females).
They made me feel welcome and valued. They gave me a precise waiting time and stuck to it. Most of them are gentlemen that are proud veterans of the US Armed Services and served with distinction - I have the utmost respect for all of them. Finally, I looked like a million bucks when Fat Donny finished my cut in half the time of the other 3-4 barbers down the same road.
I'd say don't stop at the competitors unless you need to shave your legs or the poodle needs deworming, just saying. Yes, I'm taking some literary license here - the competition is competent, polite, and very good - just not quite as awesome as Fat Donny's. As well, this is just my humble opinion - though it seems like a traditional shop, old school - I did not see any judgement, discrimination - run precisely, and no judgment- they get it down, they'll serve you regardless of political, religious, personal beliefs, and accepted all cultures and races, just like the military - if you don't or can't put out, get out. Don't spit on the floor, run down our country or smoke in there - you'll have a grand time! Respect to Fat Donny, his staff, and respect to all our armed services members - thank you for you service and sacrifice!
Go to Fat Donny's. Now. Tell him Uncle Conrad sent you. They will fix you up. Enjoy and thank me later
