I am very disappointed with the service I experienced at Hairmoves. I booked in to have my tape extensions taken out and reinstalled. Initially, my hair looked fabulous, however after the first wash more than half had entirely slipped out of my hair. I was shocked as I have worn tapes for five years, and this had never happened before. I promptly phoned the salon. I did not receive an apology, however Deen offered to reinstall at no charge. I was booked in for the following week - my hair would be washed and tapes reinstalled. To my dismay, they were installed in my greasy, unwashed hair. They were not cut and were left unblended and gappy. I purchased the recommended shampoo and conditioner to ensure that they would not slip out again. When it came to the first wash after installation, some slipped completely out again, and most had slipped down, giving the appearance of a 4 week re-growth. At this point, I was furious. I knew that I did not cause the tapes to slip. This slipping was the result of incorrect installation. I phoned Show Pony the tape supplier and discussed the situation them. They said their product is a superior quality tape, and that it must have been the fault of the hairdresser who failed to wash my hair and installed the tapes in greasy, dirty hair. I visited the salon again. I greeted Deen, and advised that I would wait in the seating area until he was free to discuss. He insisted that I speak to him whilst he was cutting a customer's hair. I proceeded to explain how upset and inconvenienced I was that this had happened twice. He advised that the hairdresser (Kate) that did my hair is a subcontractor and that it was my responsibility to chase the $180 refund from her directly, and that it had nothing to do with him as the salon manager. I was lost for words upon hearing this. He was defensive and told me that I had no right to "barge into his salon demanding a refund" and that I had "a bad attitude". I cannot begin to explain how appalled I am that I was spoken to so badly, and on display in front of other customers. I have written this same review on other sites to which they abusively and untruthfully wrote back to me.
