WOW, What a fuckkkking joke. I came in, Oct 28th at about 3:40-3:50pm. I came in, stood there, noticed the two ladies were busy, so I took a seat, and waited, no one said ANYTHING, no one said "hi, welcome in" or "do you have an appointment?" "it's going to be a little bit of a wait." LITERALLY NO WORDS FROM EITHER WOMEN. I did not mind, as they were busy, and I figured they'd attend to me when they're finished. I have been there for about 15-20min just waiting, while I am waiting, another lady walks in, is immediately told to take a seat. When one of the ladies is finished, she rings out her customer, and starts speaking another language to the other lady waiting and the lady goes and sits down. Still not saying a word to me. Like are you fuckkking kidding me? who the fuckkk taught these women customer service?! IM NOT EVEN GOING TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED??? so I stood up, thanked them for not saying SHIT to me, and walked out. absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

The first time I got my haircut here years ago, I was not impressed. Decided about a year ago to try them again because they are so close to my house.....and discovered Susan! Best stylist ever!! She listens to what you want and will tell you whether it'll work or not and suggest changes that works with your hair type, face shape, etc. She's friendly and funny. I've had her color my hair twice and it has turned out fabulous....and she's straight forward about whether a,hair color will work on you. Walking into a salon or barbershop can be an anxious thing. You don't know any of the stylists/barbers and are unsure if they'll get your hair right. My hair isn't difficult and a simple cut will do, but nevertheless, trying out someone/someplace new can be a worrisome process. I walked into HairMasters and was greeted with a smile by Ramiro. He sat me down and asked what I wanted to do. I explained and he started off by washing my hair. Throughout the cut, he asked questions, making sure I got what I wanted, and showed me how it was progressing throughout the cut. Maybe it was because it was during the holidays, maybe people didn't want to be at work, who knows but customer service should be a priority and it wasn't this time. Here's a quick rundown of this experience: my husband goes in for a haircut, he stands there for awhile, a young girl sees him comes up, he tells her he would like a haircut, she stands there, finally she says well we usually always take appointments but we'll see if we can squeeze you in. He sits down, a mean with blond hair and a blackish beard, says he can cut his hair. Asks him what he would like done, my husband tells him, he never says another word to him, doesn't try and style his hair, doesn't try and comb it after its cut and that's it. He won't be back...period, not with attitudes like this. read more

My hair was a disaster. I'd been one place that shall not be named and had a horrible cut, terrible color, and left me with a bad attitude. I decided to try this place because it was close, cheap, and I figured they couldn't make it worse. When I walked in, it seemed nicer than I thought it might. They assisted me right away and started asking me about what was going on with my hair (in a nice, non judgmental way). After explaining what had happened and that I just wanted all the damaged hair taken care of and to look decent in the end, she started looking through my hair. We discussed in depth what lengths would and would not be good for me and she said that for everything that had been done, she wouldn't have to cut too much off, unless I wanted to! So this place is awesome! Friendly staff, quick service, good price, and they're pretty good at what they do. I used to drive all the way to Federal Way in the Commons mall at Regis to dye my hair and get my hair cut and it gets expensive. But here? It's only 5 min away from where I live and Johnny is AMAZING at everything he does. The way he cut my hair was just the way I wanted, and the quality of my hair dye was also great! My whole household of roommates and my hubby always ask for Johnny. He pretty much cuts all of their hair and he dyes and cuts my hair! And the price is reasonable (cheaper than the Regis in Federal Way). The place is always clean and whenever I'm here they're not that busy (probably because it's usually on the weekends) and walk ins are ALWAYS welcomed. I highly recommend this place! read more

After a few months of terrifying experiences at both independent and chain salons - I discovered Lena (pronounced "Lenna") and Johnny at the Seatac HairMasters. They are the type of stylists one would expect to see in an LA or NY salon - cool, edgy, stylish and friendly with funky/fun personal style...the kind of stylists you trust with your hair. I've been seeing Lena for two years, and she always does an amazing job. Highly recommended. Additionally - the prices are super affordable, there's a good selection of product, and the space is clean. The only negative for me is the relentlessly beige corporate decor. It's so boring. Not the fault of the staff of course...but Hairmasters could stand to energize the look a bit. read more

Went in this place, asked for a trim (I have pretty thick hair) the lady took me back for a shampoo barely massaged my scalp, more like patted my head. Took me to the chair, took her less than 5 minutes to "cut" all around. My hair looked the same before I came in. Do not recommend this place for even a "pretty well hair cut". read more

Woman with southern accent cut my hair. I told her to take off half an inch at most. My hair was halfway down my back. She took 2 inches off my ends and my layers. I didn't want layers; I was trying to grow out what I had. Didn't even touch my bangs or offer to blowdry/style. The edges are very blunt and the haircut does not blend at all. It looks awful. Would not recommend coming here. I wasn't expecting much from a drive through salon but this one takes the cake. There's probably a reason that it was a ghost town. read more

Literally absolutely would never in a million years return!!!! I loved my stylist. I actually brought a friend with me to make it a girls day. Ashley who was doing my friends hair just cut an accidental chunk of hair off of her head didn't apply product and just passed the blow dryer didn't even part and use a round brush blow dry. And had the audacity to charge for a wash cut and style when on the website it's listed as $24 she charged her $40. It looked like my friend just let her hair air dry. When I brought it to Ashleys attention that my friend was unsatisfied but didn't have the nerve to ask her to do her one sole job Ashley's response was " what do you want me to do" in which I replied "your job?" She rolled her eyes and walked to the back for about 3 minutes then walked by me again and rolled her eyes yet again. She went outside to smoke a cigarette and cane back inside about 10 minutes later I'm still getting my hair done and our eyes met and she rolled her eyes yet again. When I told my hair dresser who I as a person in the service industry knew that she honestly had 0 customer service skills and for her to even respond to a customer like that was above me she stepped to me and ask "do you have something you wanna say to me?" In which I responded "you have one shitty job you keep walking around here like you wanna fight me because you can't even do it and if I were you and I wanted to keep it I'd walk away." in which a coworker stepped between us and escorted her to the back until I left.
