The level of care and service I received at this salon surpasses every single place I've ever been to in my 35 years of living. I am visiting Istanbul for 2 wks and picked this place because of the great online reviews. I called and made an appt but there seemed to be a miscommunication due to language barriers so I just walked in. They greeted me warmly and seated me immediately. I initially went in just for a color. Multiple people worked on my hair at the same time. I ended up getting a cut and blow dry as well. Everyone there is super friendly and I got endless cups of complimentary tea and coffee. My final result did not exactly match the reference photo I provided but the level of artistry that went into it is so ridiculous it doesn't even matter. Before my visit my hair was over processed and about 4 different colors from black to blonde ombré. They bleached it multiple times (I have black hair) and then hand painted the colors on. The cost is NOT expensive. With the high level of service and complimentary drinks for the hours I was there- including a tip - it is still cheaper than the highest priced salon I've ever been to in Washington DC. Cemile is legit and knows what she's doing, period. Like... best colorist I have come across maybe ever. Look... I am not an easy hair customer. I pretty much leave close to tears every time I go to a salon (and I'm from New York City where we are supposed to have the best stylists). I usually have to come back at least once to get them to fix something. My hair lifts super warm which means I end up with orange or at least brassy hair most of the time unless all I'm doing is getting a single process dark color (which is never what I'm doing, by the way). So anyway, I go in to Hair Mafia with a somewhat complicated hair problem. I have dark ashy brown roots (my natural color), then a layer of dyed warm brown, leading into my warm brassy blonde (which another salon left me with). So she's basically gotta get my blonde, my dyed brown, and my natural brown all the same color. I had it in the back of my mind that this might be a problem but I wasn't tripping. HOWEVER... she comes to check the foils mid-way and tells me that the part that was dyed brown is lifting kinda orange. UH-OH. I begin to freak out. The word "orange" triggers all my hair trauma and I begin preparing for the worse... if it's bad we can just cover it all in black. Whatever it takes not to look like a freak. My mid is cycling through worst case scenarios. It's not because I'm totally crazy... it's because seriously my hair is complicated to color and I usually always have problems and I've just been through a lot before... and I am not feeling optimistic. But she's calm. She's confident. She's optimistic. She adds bleach to the area that's turning orange... one foil at a time she unwraps and adds bleach. Then she waits... and waits... and waits. And then she adds some more bleach and waits some more. And then finally she's satisfied and we rinse and tone and I can tell she's a little worried about me because she, total sweetie that she is, keep scrunching her forehead and asking if I'm ok. I probably have a terrified look on my face as I wait to see the results. Well, let me just tell you, my hair turned out AWESOME. Basically it's exactly what I hoped for but was afraid I'd never get. And it's not even damaged. I can't even transmit the extent of my relief. I left the salon feeling beautiful. She even blew it out perfectly (which never happens... I always have to go home and re-style it myself after a salon visit.) Ok, by now you have probably decided I'm the pickiest person in the world when it comes to my hair. You might be right. And that's just further evidence that this salon is legit. They are the real deal. And I didn't even mention the atmosphere which is super playful and friendly. Everyone is smiling. Everyone looks like cool people who I would trust to style me. A+ all around. read more

It is not just a hair saloon, instead it is a cozy place where you can chat a little, dance a little, even drink sth with your friends and meanwhile have a great hair cut as well. I went last summer they burned my hair and the color (caramel ) washed out in 2 washes! My hair ended up this very ugly bleach blond and was so damaged for 6 months after . I did ask for a refund 3 days after but they just make me come in re-dye the same color and gave me a free cut but it just damaged my hair even more . read more

This place is a total gem!!! I stumbled upon it while looking for somewhere to get a blow-dry. The second I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist with a warm smile and great energy. She immediately passed me along to a hair stylist who didn't speak much English but was literally the friendliest hair dresser I've ever had. I was offered water/tea/coffee by at least 3 different employees while my hair was being done. The hairdresser did a perfect job and worked quickly and efficiently. And it literally cost me $8 American (so much better than the $30-$40 they charge in L.A.!!!) the overall vibe in the salon was nothing short of awesome. Great people watching, super hip and friendly. I will definitely go back there next time I'm in Istanbul!!!!!! So refreshing to have such a great salon experience! read more

This place is excellent, as far as haircuts go; the best cut I've had over a year period in Istanbul has been from here, and that's after sampling two upper end places in Bebek and Etiler; but if you don't speak Turkish, you may not get a cut without an appointment. I went in today and was told, in broken English, that the place was "closed," despite many customers waiting to receive cuts. I was a bit miffed, because clearly it wasn't closed, but I inferred that what they meant was that it was all booked up. Next time I go, I'll be sure to have a Turkish colleague make a booking for me. Maybe they could set up an online booking option for those of us who don't speak Turkish well enough to make an appointment, hire an extra hand, or expand their mafia to near Boğaziçi University. read more
