While the lines were very clean, I had expressed to my barber that my current stylist was working on gradually moving my part down (Supercuts messed it up and had it about 3/4" too high). My part was put back in the wrong location. I had grown out my hair for two months to try and make it easier to move the part, so now back to ground zero on that. Also, I was very unhappy to see that the clippers were not being sanitized between clients - as someone who is familiar with the cosmetology industry (but by no means an expert), I know that combs, scissors, and clippers need to be sanitized to prevent the spread of skin borne bacteria and infections. I could see the previous clients hair on the clipper heads before they were used on me. They simply used compressed air to clean them off.

Sure he has coached sports and made other contributions to the town as well, but the shop is where many spend the most time with him and bump into old acquaintances and perhaps his lovely wife. Recently I ran in to a friend of 10 years or so when I entered the shop and she was in the chair. We were both customers for years, but never realized it! It was a nice example of when-worlds-collide and you find you have a bond on another level.

There is no one designated to answer phone calls or a website/app to schedule appointments. If you call, it's hit or miss that a barber will answer the call. On the building, it says Walk-Ins are welcome but it doesn't feel that way. There aren't enough barbers available to handle a Walk-In it seems. Be prepared to wait an hour or more or be told that the few barbers are busy for the day if you stroll in. It seems that they need to remove appointments to handle walk-ins. One day, I came in as a walk-in when two barbers were present and working. I politely waited while no one spoke to me. One barber finished and said nothing to me. I figured he would call me. I waited 30 min (now up to 45min) and said, "Are you taking any customers today?" And he said, "My next appointment will be here any minute." The other barber (still working) said he could squeeze me in before his next appointment. "Unbelievable!!", I thought. How can you not tell a walk-in that there's a 1 hour+ wait? Or how can you wait 30 min and not ask the walk-in what he needs? At some point you should prioritize a walk-in over a very late appointment. Just unprofessional at times.
