He was playing with his monster truck on the floor and wasn't bothering any other customers. Apparently the wonder barber is very much bothered by this. While the lines were very clean, I had expressed to my barber that my current stylist was working on gradually moving my part down (Supercuts messed it up and had it about 3/4" too high). My part was put back in the wrong location. I had grown out my hair for two months to try and make it easier to move the part, so now back to ground zero on that. Also, I was very unhappy to see that the clippers were not being sanitized between clients - as someone who is familiar with the cosmetology industry (but by no means an expert), I know that combs, scissors, and clippers need to be sanitized to prevent the spread of skin borne bacteria and infections. I could see the previous clients hair on the clipper heads before they were used on me. They simply used compressed air to clean them off.

Now in my 40s, with a renewed focus on keeping my money local and supporting the businesses that make Warren what it is, I figured it was time to give Diamond Cutz a shot. Glad I did. It's a classic American barber shop on Main St; no frills, no nonsense, just two excellent barbers, Ernest and Frank, who know exactly what they're doing. I got a haircut, a beard trim, and a straight razor cleanup for $42. In this economy? Unbeatable. The vibe is exactly what a neighborhood barber shop should feel like. Comfortable, unpretentious, and the kind of place where you leave looking sharp without any of the fuss. Both barbers here are top notch, and I'll definitely be back. If you're in Warren and need a cut, don't overthink it. Just come here.
